Music from Simpsons: Hit and Run for PS2, great classic :) Something like "too Hot for TV" happened in Italy too anyway many years ago (maybe 2007?), Mediaset's Italia Uno aired 4 episodes at 9:00 PM instead of lunchtime because of the themes not suitable for kids... I'd say both Family Guy (that was initially was 100% uncut), Futurama and The Simpsons already aired way worse stuff at lunchtime in Italy, so that decision was kinda weird from their part.
I think Brazil overreacted because that's literally how their country is, but in the episode when they went to Vancouver they completely stereotyped Canada in a way it isn't. First, Vancouver was shown as being covered in snow (which it is rare because Vancouver is a Oceanic-Mediterraean climate) and used the tired stereotype that Canadians say eh and shit. That's only in like Nova Scotia and what not. A little rant.
Everytime a news outlet covers a simpsons episode getting pulled the headline begins with "doh!" Which I bet each journalist thought was a hilarious original idea
I'm French and I find it funny when the Simpsons makes fun of French people :-) Since there is a real Duff beer distributed in France, words duff are blurred on TV broadcast because it could be seen as a ad for alcohol which is not allowed on TV, even if the Duff beer is a flop.
There is a scene where Bart sells his skateboard to Willie who rides it and falls down the stairs he yells to the children "What are ya looking at ya bastards" they cut that line out on tv also the episode where flanders goes crazy he calls his parents "Lousey bastards" if you watch it on tv he says "Lousey beatniks"

I can imagine that if it came out in the 1950's, much like Gerry Anderson found when filming the puppet show Supercar, there would have been objections in the south for every scene depicting Carl because of his skin colour. They got the film studio, not the FOX network.
Disney will now be making rated r movies since they bought fox studios recently, but they will censor some scenes from older episodes of the Simpson's and they will modify newer episodes of the Simpson's because Disney is a family oriented company and Disney expected everyone to watch the Simpson's no matter what age they are.
Disney DID have some R-rated films. They don't have the network!
i really hope that never happens
On the Treehouse Of Horror Dracula episode, Homer saying "Oh I guess killing would be fun enough" is cut on Channel 4.
In the episode where they are in ireland and bart watches german krusty on tv instead of saying "hey hey!" Krusty says "Heil heil" and in the german version thats censored krusty just doesnt say anything
gotta love the simpsons hit and run background music :D
Here in Argentina only two episodes are banned, the episode were they talk about Perón and the episode were they go to Brazil, this one was shown a couple of times but only 3 times.
Nicolas Reversat Not really. The episode in which they go to Brazil was shown here multiple times
pacKed! Yes
If tourism in your country is ruined by a cartoon, perhaps it wasn't that great in the first place.
I didn't realize The Simpsons was shown in so many other countries.
The UK edits are mainly swearing and smoking, the episode with Bart storing the cigarettes in his room is cut, where Homer forces Bart to look at the Laramie sign is cut and Homer smoking 2 in the DMV is cut. Of course any mention of “piss” or “bastard” is also cut, where as “piss” is acceptable in the USA it’s still very much a swear word in the UK.
I like how this that i will talk is accurate:
Other countries: *Censor that, that, that, annnndddd THAT!*
Brazil: *Just censore that and put it on TV after some years, and leave the rest of the show untouched*
Notice how Australia didn't ban the episode which was satirizing Australia?
Good on us for taking a joke like adults, not babies.
They weren't behaving like babies in my opinion... the show is American and making fun of their countries and had no right to because it's not their country. America is their country, they can make fun of it all they want, but making fun of other countries is rude. And Australia didn't mind it doesn't mean others won't either. Each country has it's own traditions and cultures and as a part of their culture, it offended them. Your culture didn't feel offended good for you but others feel differently because they grew up to respect each other differently than you did. You get me?
@@nolol791 I understand where you're coming from but I disagree. That being said, it's ironic Australia doesn't care about stuff like that but bans other forms of media
@@jazzabighits4473 Australians are very easy going and are chill about most things and it's part of how they grew up but other countries are different.... Idk life is complicated lol
The Arabian version of The Simpsons reminds me of the US version of Doraemon. It was stripped down to bare bones and so dumbed down, that it was only a fraction of the success it was in Japan and Asia.
Indeed, Britian allows literally anything, ANYTHING as long as it is after 9pm.
I’m from New Zealand
But I’m extremely disappointed that the 600th episode is banned here
interesting how Channel 4 in the UK a channel that had/has a reputation to be controversial, "edgy" a channel liked to be perceived that it pushed boundaries felt the need to censor so much, whilst the BBC that has the complete opposite reputation left them mostly uncensored.
Little Big Mom is also the only classic Simpson episode with an actual TV-14 rating on it too.
I swear you guys have already done an episode on the Simpsons before.
That was the Arcade game..
The Simpsons are so well traveled??? George Burns pays better than I had previously thought!!!
I just love that you used the music from the Simpson's hit & run game
:D
So,
A cartoon is capable of kicking a country's ass?
Um,
I'm gonna have fun this winter...
In Australia, at first the public hated it but over time we've grown to love that specific episode, I have even seen the flag from the episode recreated and being sold in a store and some people have taken to calling our money "Dollarydoos"
Makes me proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free.
Music from Simpsons: Hit and Run for PS2, great classic :)
Something like "too Hot for TV" happened in Italy too anyway many years ago (maybe 2007?), Mediaset's Italia Uno aired 4 episodes at 9:00 PM instead of lunchtime because of the themes not suitable for kids... I'd say both Family Guy (that was initially was 100% uncut), Futurama and The Simpsons already aired way worse stuff at lunchtime in Italy, so that decision was kinda weird from their part.
Is anyone ELSE puzzled why THE voice over guy PUTS emphasis on the WRONG words?
I think Brazil overreacted because that's literally how their country is, but in the episode when they went to Vancouver they completely stereotyped Canada in a way it isn't. First, Vancouver was shown as being covered in snow (which it is rare because Vancouver is a Oceanic-Mediterraean climate) and used the tired stereotype that Canadians say eh and shit. That's only in like Nova Scotia and what not. A little rant.
People seem to forget that Simpson’s is based on stereotypes
That Arabic Simpsons (sorry, Al Shamshoon choir) was unironically decent.
The time slot thing is really interesting. In Australia, controversial episodes were simply aired later (8:30 or 9:30)
Yeah I think for example the episode Homer starts smashing joints was on a bit later
I'm glad they never sensor anything in Finland so I've seen every episode 🙌🏻
I didn't realise UK had censored so much. I usually watch them on DVD though and most of the sets are rated 12.
Silly censors, the cartridge family(the partridge family)is actually making fun of gun owners.
Everytime a news outlet covers a simpsons episode getting pulled the headline begins with "doh!" Which I bet each journalist thought was a hilarious original idea
I just wanted to say, don’t put arrows in a 2018 video’s thumbnail and don’t push your video to that +10:00 just so you can put ads in it
the irony is when foreigners hate on America when we have the freedom to be exposed to satire
According to this ... basically any episode of south park has ever released outside of us ?
0:35
The video TRULY starts here
>"It will take till 2012 for it to air again"
>video in 2018
Damn, I'm thought the UK was way more relaxed on censorship that the US. Learn something new everyday.
In UK there is no protected free speech. It's a totalitarian shithole country now.
I'm French and I find it funny when the Simpsons makes fun of French people :-)
Since there is a real Duff beer distributed in France, words duff are blurred on TV broadcast because it could be seen as a ad for alcohol which is not allowed on TV, even if the Duff beer is a flop.
Because of the Simpsons, to this date. I will never, ever go to Brazil.
Your song is from the Simpsons video game “Hit’n Run”
Very good choice, very good one indeed
When Bart watches the german synchro of the Krusty show, when Krusty says "Heil heil", it was cut out in the german dubs. Instead he says nothing.
Down here they changed Luke Perry to Robert Redford for Krusty Gets Kancelled. To this day I can't understand why.
7pm is too early?
In spain, horror episodes were also aired at 2pm like any other episode
Fact:The Simpsons movie was banned in Burma for using the color yellow and red which are considered colors for rebel groups many countries have criticized for many reasons
I am brazilian and I guarantee, even though the episode was not accurate in general, most brazilians who watched it found it funny and kinda relevant.
The Cartridge Family is one of my all time favorite episodes.
If it isn't too much trouble Censored Gaming can you please do a video on Steams new guidelines for content; and how Negligee: Love Stories has been banned from Australia and Germany, to named just a few?
Ayy; The 'Simpsons: Hit & Run' Theme begins to play at 2:51
I can't believe what they are doing to the Simpsons. That's just bizarre.
I personally would like to see you cover more censored cartoons and TV shows, even though I know this channel is supposed to be about video games.
Love the Simpsons Hit and run music playing gently in the background, brings back memories, great times
Here's something intresting: In the episode "The Day the Violence Died", the first time it was aired, a scene where itchy (From itchy and Scratchy) decapitates President Roosevelt was skipped. Now that's some strange patriotism.
Do one on American Dad, that should'a gotten shitloads of controversy
The news segment about _"Al Shamshoon"_ was incredibly fascinating.
Can someone leave a link to that ABC news report in the video?
I can imagine that if it came out in the 1950's, much like Gerry Anderson found when filming the puppet show Supercar, there would have been objections in the south for every scene depicting Carl because of his skin colour. I guess they would have changed Carl to be yellow like the majority of characters or omitted his character altogether
6:41 So I live in the UK and I definitely saw the uncensored ending of that episode on tv. Fairly sure the other episodes I've seen mentioned in the UK section of this video I have seen on tv.
Censorship doesn't work in any case, even in tight state controlled countries.
The only good thing to come out of the Arabic version is I like the translated named. Omar Samshoon is pretty clever.
I still can't believe they cut the scene where Homer pours boiling oil on Bart's skull.
Where do you put the change after using the bills?
