Can't believe I missed this video and only just stumbled upon it. Must've been the bad Wi-Fi here in Warsaw (just bragging) or we were out looking at the sites. As a mechanic and someone who Loves the Australian outback, especially the Flinders Ranges, I'm loving these videos and feeling a little home sick. Apart from being a Prado owner and toyota lover, your truck looks awesome John. I really can't wait to see it in person and I am really hoping we come across each others paths while travelling Australia. Keep up the great work and videos.
Roothy, are you going to reinstall the gravity assisted angle gauge/pendulum. Gravity is so reliable, they keep it working on public holidays and weekends.
roothy, did you do a upgrade on the brake booster, if you go a 80 series booster you'll be able to be on a maaad steep hill without needing 3t of leg pressure to hold it on a hill. like you have to with the original booster. I have yet to do this mod
Can't believe you cut the dash there pretty rare the newer ones... just to put that bulky piece on.. rest of its looking good shoulda just left the dash original
Brody E G'day mate, if this was a project aiming at original restoration I would agree with you, but it's not. Like Milo this truck will evolve and be adapted to suit my needs in terms of form and function. The only trucks I have that I try and keep as standard as possible are Mustard and Hot Lips. Cheers
G'day mate, if it wasn't for Richard mate the whole cab would have been heading to the scrappers. The dash is the way I want it, compact, accessible and no need for heaps of plastic rocker switches hanging off tabs below the dash which is what I have had in Milo for years.
JOHN ROOTH Fair enough Roothy I guess your building it to suit your own needs and wants not every one else's! It looks like it'll be a great truck! Thanks mate I'm enjoying the videos 👍
She's looking good Roothy.
Roothy as an old Matt Braddock fan I'm frothing over those Lancaster switches. Too good 👍
The video was twice as long this time good stuff!! Cnt wait to see it out in the bush mate!!!
Cracking a cold one with the boys

LOOKING GREAT AS THANKS VIDEO
This is a custom truck that build base on the need of John Rooth, so its no problem if he change anything far from original.

JOHN ROOTH thats fantastic news thank you!
Are you putting air condioning in milo 2
If you mean rolling down the windows sure.
The A/C Comp. is right on top on the RH side lol
The compressor came back with the engine but at this stage no plans to plumb it up. May go for an endless air set up at some point.

that poor dash
Shouldn't have let that Pom near your dash! Doesn't look right and ruined a good piece of Toyota sheet metal!
