Great show and such a generous thing Roothy for you to do.... Milo now is part of history and fitting for all the History and adventure Milo helped to bring to us and helped us discover .... Thank you Roothy and .... Milo lives for ever
I have to say John Rooth AKA "Roothy" what a pleasure it has been to watch countless video over more than decade with you and many people 4wding. you are a true legend in the industry. its shame that Milo has been retired as well as not sharing this moment in history with the likes of Shauno, Graham and Rocket. Adios amigo Milo.
Thank you John and thank you Milo I know I’m not the first bloke to say this but John you and that little green truck are the reason I own a 4WD, I have watched you and Milo on your adventures since the early days of 4wd Monthly that would become 4wd action and then onto Low Range and now Dustem up, thanks to you and Milo I found my passion and I’m happy to say I have been building my own 4WDs for many years now to take me places I’ve never seen and wouldn’t see without a 4wd and one day I hope to get off my backside and make my way to the museum to see Milo in all her glory and show my appreciation for what she has done for me and my family. Your love for Milo shines through and shows just how important that little green truck is to you and your family and I only hope I can make similar memories in my truck with my family. Thank you John and thank your Milo. I personally will raise a beer and say congratulations to you both and whole heartedly thank you for the memories.
Hey roothy, i think the dust of milo got in my eyes a few times throughout the video😥thanks for the laughs the past 12+ years and of course thank you milo for getting roothy out and home, she will be missed.
I would be lying if I said I didn't shed are tear during this episode, thanks for the great memories Milo and Roothy you inspired a lot of people to get out and explore this great country of ours.
Well done guys great video and to Roothy I am recommending you Sir for an OAM for services to the 4WD community for your sharing Milo for generations to see and know what a special machine she is Cheers
just tried to fill out the nomination form for the OAM mate its seems like its bit hard to complete the form they need more information then i know but the thought still must count mate cheers
I was like no need to shed a tear its going to the museum. Then Milo pulls into the museum, memories flooded back and it was over. tears could have filled the Tilpa river! Goodbye Milo, you've seen more of this country than any other.
Roothy I remember seeing this clip before and it was sad ti see Milo go but never forgotten it's like a tattoo on your skin but tattooed into your memory forever like family is and Milo was family to not just you but the whole of Australia what a rig thanks for sharing this mate it rough a tear my eyes too
Was great seeing all the boys back together and having a good time. Used to watch all the old Roothy and Gleno 4wd Action DVD's as a kid, absolutely loved this one. Merry Christmas
I used to buy the magazines and get the video throw it straight in the DVD player. I never had a fourbie until last year but was always hooked on the places and the planning of trips. I still watch it now but liked the old style DVDs better.
Thanks for sharing milo’s special exit from the road Roothy ! I still can’t explain how a car can have a soul and is a living Breathing entity and the deep connection and bond you can have with them, cheers mate
sorry guys, that was pretty painful. turned off when Rotthy started to tear up. If it wasn't for the dude in the truck I would have turned off earlier. Great area, was there in April and can't wait to get back.
Merry Christmas Guys. Thanks for the gift. It may be goodbye from trips but Milo will live on in an amazing automotive museum that is world class. Thank you John for sharing Milo with the wider community so many people (and their kids) who grew up watching and learning from you not to mention the countless mods and ideas that we all enjoyed not to mention the history of this amazing country. If you think of all the plush Milo toys and drawings of Milo by all the kids there will be a number of generations wanting to admire that amazing piece of history. Can’t wait to get to Birdwood and admire Milo in real life again. Cheers Scott
Wife is cutting bloody onion's around me again, shed a slight tear or two on this video. But good old Milo will be loved for many more years to come, Maybe roothy will visit to take her for a drive around the block once in a while.
Thank for you contributions with Milo over the years roothy this rig was the one that single handedly pushed me into fourwheeldriving , watching your videos had me chomping at the bit for outdoor adventure thank you mate. Milo will live on ;)
Roothy she is better off spending her days in the Museum than ending up in a ditch or wreckers yard, as the old bloke said in that classic Aussie movie Babe "That'll do Milo, that'll do"
John, I've been following Milo and you for almost 30 years and using your adventures and exploits as inspiration for my own (usually less ambitious) forays into our great land. As much as I enjoy watching the man behind the wheel, I'll find it difficult to separate you from Milo and watch you as an independent entity. The two of you made the 'whole' and the whole made the magic happen. Please don't make Milo's replacement (at least the on-camera one) a modern truck. Somehow that just wouldn't look right nor feel right. I hope you have many more years of discovering new places and new people and take a little a bit of Milo along for for the ride. Cheers.
Hi OMG brought me to tears Not ONLY because U and Milo had the last trip...…. But me and My 5vr Can Not go over your last Trip I would have loved me Babe{My Rig} to sit up on those ridges ,,,, I 2would have been so Proud
g'day roothy, dunno if you'll see this but i'm 15 years old an i've been watching your videos since the old 4WD Action when i was a kid. You once about 4 years ago signed a Milo Teddy for me at an 4wd show i think. We went to Birdwood the other day and saw Milo and it was such a sight to see it. To finally see it in the flesh was just great.
Might be an old girl but the sentimental value is more then any other car. Milo and Roothy has inspired not only me but other people to get out there and do the things they love. I've watched these two circle australia over and over since i was a kid.
Merry Christmas DustemUp Team ! John you may not be an archaeologist but I can tell you more about that old house on the Hawker Road, next to the river and The Oaks Road. It was built by Walter and Lena Harrold (nee Haeusler), they had four children born in that house one of them was my grandfather. I still have relatives that own the property and live either side of it one at the end of The Oaks Road behind the mountain and the other on the Southern Side living in the homestead where Lena was born. It is sad to see Milo leave, right from the beginning in 4WD Action and then into Low Range Milo become a personified character that was instantly recognisable and needed no introduction. Take care DustemUp and all the best luck in the New Year!
Dang man this is the first video I've seen about you or milo and you had me tearing up now im about to watch all your stuff wish I could get out in the bush
Ah brings back the good old days, I remember seeing milo and you guys at Perth 4x4 show quite some time ago. John hope you still have the drawings and enjoyed the beer I gave ya. Awesome show. Jay

Couldn't help but shed a few tears milo will be missed and never forgotten. Actually surprised that Graham and shauno didn't pop in at the museum for the send off considering how many years milo was at 4wd action
The old girl will be in good hands. She'll be able to exchange stories with the Tom Cruise Leyland Badger and half dozen of my Dads restored trucks. 👍👍🇦🇺
Roothy and milo, true aussie icons of the 4wding community. Spent many an afternoon watching roothy, milo and the guys and girls at 4wd action, gunna miss her.. 4wd action was a big part of milo,s life, she should of gone to rest wearing a 4wd action sticker proudly on her side..
