Stay-Puft shows up at the end of "Ghost Busted" (if I got the title of the Crime Busters episode correct) and it looks like a re-manifestation of the monster, but probably not controlled by Gozer.
While the theme should NOT be viewed as fully canonical, it implied Stay-Puft does get trapped in a Ghost trap at some time.
In "Cry Uncle" Stay-Puft is in the containment unit, but not yet friendly.
By Deadcon 1 and The Revenge of Murray the Mantis (what ever came 1st) he has mellowed out. Perhaps now acting like what Ray probably imagined him to be.
One of the best Ghostbusters villains, right up there with Samhain and the Boogeyman.
Janine had a real "Dream Warriors" moment here.
The one episode of Real Ghostbusters that actually scared the life out of me, I didn't sleep properly for about a year after seeing it. His voice creeped me out the most, I still have issues with his voice now for some reason!
I am now following you on Twitter while researching for my paranormal/occult/cryptid/supernatural/Wiccan glossary. LOL the title just gets longer and longer.
I was surprised that more of the RGB villains didn't bother me as a young kid. The one that got me was the were-chicken, mostly because there were a couple chicken coops on the family farm.
Sandman's voice always creeped me out more than Boogey's though. Great episode you two.
Fun fact: In the IDW Ghostbuster comics, their version of the Sandman cut peoples eyes out. He almost got Egon, too.
I read the annual after our episode and was surprised on how much Erik referenced some of the classic folklore we talked about.
E.T.A. Hoffman doesn't get nearly enough credit in the world of creepy literature, even the original Nutcracker stories are unsettling and bizarre. My favorite incarnation though, besides Gaiman's, is in "The Book of the Sandman" by Wil Huygen and Riet Poortvliet. If those names sound familiar, they're the guys behind the excellent Gnomes books and the Sandman book is just as gorgeous and near-believable as those.
The RGB Sandman could threaten to rip out peoples’ eyes but never actually do so because the Ghostbusters defeat him.
I always thought the Sandman of mythology just came by and forced you to sleep, and that the sand didn’t go in your eyes but into your nose and it drugs you to sleep; fairly benign pusher of a monster.
Janine had her pink jumpsuit in the episode standing room only - the end of the series.
One of my favorite episodes ever I had it on VHS I taped it was where the guys go out on the ocean on a boat and get caught in the Bermuda Triangle I can't remember the name of it something with Venkman in it and I believe it season 2 but I haven't seen that episode in like 30 something years
Venkman's Ghost Repellers. (Hmm, come to think of it, that would make a nice salable premium for a GB franchise...)
@@nicholastosoni707 yep that's it
if you guys are feeling spicy you should do an episode on the Bohemian Grove, the topic comes with a lot of extra baggage tho fair warning
Hypnos and Thanatos
Do a video about the various substances in Ghostbusters.
You mean in terms of ectoplasm, or the stuff that was no doubt being used behind the scenes? (It WAS the 80s, after all! :p )
