- Most people know the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were mutated by mutagen. It its nearly 40 year history, the glowing ooze has changed its name, properties, and even color. Join us as we plunge into the green goo, going back to the original run of Eastman and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics. We also go through the various animated series, other comic series, movies, toys, and more to get a complete history of the mysterious mutagen. From the chemicals that make it up, to its various origins, we find out everything there is to know about mutagen.

I remember reading in TMNT magazine when Secret of the Ooze came out that the producers had to change the name from TCRI to TGRI to avoid legal issues because they're was a real company called TCRI that existed at the time.
You could be right, there is a company that uses that acronym. I tried to find earlier drafts of the script but there isn't much out there. Maybe I'll see if I can find that issue.

Comics in 2011 and beyond the mutants combined both the 1987 2003 as one. I'm a super fan of the teenage mutant ninja turtles for over 30 plus years and more than ever, and I've seen tmnt mutant mayhem. I'm looking forward to more movies, comics, tv series, and video's game's and finally, im super pumped for tmnt last ronin movie 🎬 . It will be rated r for grown-ups a new era has begun for the franchise of the 40th anniversary of 2024 turtles forever 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐀🥷🥷🥷🥷

Hey I'm kind of confused does he supposed to be a human or rodent because the 1980 cartoon version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles he's a human that got transform into a mutant rat now you said in the the original comic book of the Teenage Mutant Turtles go to tell the same story line like the 1980 cartoon version of Teenage Mutant Turtles Ninja Turtles see if different versions of the Ninja Turtles you got the comic book version the 1980S version of them cartoon animated 1987 then you got to live motion picture of them that's 1990 the first movie of them Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the movie 1990 and then the 2003 version with the alien Neutrons see it's a all of different versions all of the Ninja Turtles backstories and how they came about I don't know which one to believe 😑
Both the original Mirage Splinter origin and the 87 Splinter origins are the true origins since every other variations of Splinter's mutation are based on them, with Mirage origin being the basis for all turtle lore afterwards and 87 being an alternate universe and making the franchise more mainstream.
