33:00 Another version of this divination is one I've heard discussed in association with the Salem witch trials. In the preamble of the events some of the town's young girls had been doing things that they weren't supposed be doing like telling fortunes. Supposedly they'd do this by dropping a bit of egg white into a water dish and ask a question. If the egg white took some kind of shape that could be seen as an answer; for example if she asked "Who will I marry?" and it seemed to take the shape of, say an anvil, then maybe she would marry blacksmith. One of the girls though thought she saw it take the shape of a coffin and it scared the shit out of her. This story honestly strikes me as being more legend than fact but its in a lot of books and such about the witch trials.

26:00 Even though they supposedly travel around a lot they always seemed to be in that same motel room in season 1.

Shadow people would be a cool subject to talk about one day.

I'm glad you were as frustrated with the Bloody Mary mythology in this episode as I was. The episode almost implies that the ghost isn't THE actual Bloody Mary, just a ghost that, I guess, chose to latch onto the game for some reason, but they never state that. The fact that everyone already knows the urban legend is sort of weird considering she's the victim of a fairly recent murder, and there's no stated reason for the ritual to exist in the first place or actually work. Can you summon any vengeful spirit by saying their name three times? It's also strange that Sam and Dean have no reaction to Bloody Mary being real. Normally it's kind of a big deal when they encounter famous ghosts or monster.
