The stunt coordinators, fight choreographers, and stunt doubles deserve extra praise for the Black Widow fight scenes. First and foremost, the actress had zero action experience prior to this movie, and that made extra work for all of them (and the actress). But second is that they did something really awesome for comic book fans that probably went over the heads of people who aren't really into comic books. Black Widow was originally introduced as a member of a prominent Russian ballet company who turned out to be a Russian spy. Eventually, she defected from the Soviet Union and joined SHIELD, but she was actually good enough at ballet to pass herself off as a member of a prominent world-class ballet company. So if you were a kid reading comic books back then, you couldn't help but look at the fight scenes and wonder what that would look like in live action, because there aren't a whole lot of accomplished ballerinas who can kick [bad word] in the movies. If you were a comic book-reading kid, you inevitably thought "What would that look like? What would it look like if a world-class ballerina could kick butt?" The MCU came up with a completely awesome answer to that question. Every fight scene Black Widow is in offers an amazing answer to that question. To put the hallway fight scene into context, Happy Hogan is a former semi-pro boxer, and he could barely take on one of those guards.
This movie is so so underrated imo. Also, since you watched Captain America first, it's cool seeing how the military kept trying to develop a super soldier serum after Steve Rogers was lost in WW2.
@disneydatenite the old man that died in the first scene is Anton Vanko. Back in the day, he helped Howard Stark create the first arc reactor before Howard discredited and exiled him
Mickey Roarke from 9 1/2 weeks plays the bad guy Vanko. Sam Rockwell from such movies as Galaxy Quest plays Justin Hammer. 😊 Don Cheadle replaced Terence Howard as James "Rhodey" Rhodes over a pay dispute. Howard was offered a certain salary and then Disney wanted to renegotiate the rate. When Howard refused to do so they put in Cheadle. 😮 Natalie Rushman a.k.a. Natasha Romanoff (Natalia Romanova) is better known in Marvel Comics as the Black Widow. First appeared in Tales of Suspense vol. 1 #52 April 1964. Hawkeye made his first appearance in issue #57 of the same comic. Natasha started out as a Russian spy sent to seduce Tony Stark to get her hands on the specs and blueprints of the Iron Man armor. She succeeded in this task resulting in the creation of two Soviet super powered agents. the Titanium Man based on the Mark 1 armor and the Crimson Dynamo who sported a more advanced version. His alias Ivan Vanko. 😮 Happy Hogan is played by Iron Man director and executive producer Jon Faverau who also played Paz Vizla in the Mandalorian. 😅 Yes, Natasha is a notorious flirt. 😂 "And another one gone and another one gone, another one bites the dust, yeah, hey, I'm gonna get you too, another one bites the dust". 😂 In case you were wondering what Tony was building in his house. It's a mini particle accelerator. He needed the juice in order to synthesize the new element. 😮 The little boy in the Iron Man helmet was young Peter Parker...a.k.a. The Amazing Spider-Man. 😮
Thanks for going according to the list. I hope this marvel journey will bring so many emotions and fun moments in this path and again guys Don't forget to see the end credits.. and one more thing guys marvel movies are so well connected to each other you will see all of the characters in the Avengers movie. So keep noting the details as much as you can not much just names and stuff they doing
the MCU Tony Stark, not the real one from the comics, but the MCU Tony Stark version is based on Elon Musk and they even had interviews about him before the first movie and decided to give him a cameo in second
@@disneydatenite I have a strong feeling you guys are gonna enjoy it, the soundtrack I love not to mention. Thor soundtrack - sons of Odin is an absolute banger
Really enjoy watching your reactions. You guy's should check out the movie Mr. Right with Sam Rockwell. That's the guy who played Justin Hammer on this movie. I think both of you would really enjoy it. In less you have already seen it.
The prevailing theory is rhodes had been in the suit before but off camera ...i dont see him never being in the suit but can operate it all of a sudden
Remember the "If you can make God bleed" speech. It becomes relevant in a much later movie. This was the introduction of Black Widow and War Machine. This was more important than it should have been. See, before Marvel made Iron Man, they were on the verge of bankruptcy and were saved from the dustbin of history by a toy executive named Pearlmutter who was convinced he could sell a lot of Marvel toys. By this point, Kevin Feige was already involved. By this time, Disney had already purchased Marvel but had yet to make any changes to the leadership of Marvel, so Pearlmutter was in charge. Feige was chomping at the bit for more inclusion, but Pearlmutter was convinced that only white male heroes sell action figures. Because of this, for far too long, Black Widow was the only woman hero in the MCU and War Machine (Rhodey) was the only non-white hero in the MCU. Eventually, Disney put Kevin Feige in charge of the MCU. You can pretty much tell when this change happened because suddenly, there were a lot more women and minority heroes in the MCU. Marvel comics was known for beating everyone else to a lot of diversity milestones. DC had the first woman hero, Star Trek had the first interracial kiss, but other than that, Marvel had a whole lot of firsts. Once Kevin Feige was put in charge, the Marvel movies started to look more like the Marvel comic books, which is to say a lot of diversity.
DC heroes have flaws but are defined by their virtues. Marvel heroes are the reverse of that, and some of the most interesting heroes are so flawed that they are actually a**holes: Tony Stark, Wolverine, and Jessica Jones are prime examples of this. One of Tony's big flaws in the comic books is his alcoholism. The creative people behind this movie really wanted to tell a story about his alcoholism, but by this point, Disney had already purchased Marvel and refused to allow that. This movie is as close as they got to showing Tony's problems with alcohol. In the comic books, Tony got so messed up on booze that Rhodey had to take over being Iron Man for a while. No one figured out the ruse, so Tony rewarded Rhodey with the War Machine armor so that he could be his own hero. The War Machine armor was designed to take on entire armies. Tony realized that it was simply too much power and he didn't trust himself with that armor, but he did trust the moral judgment of Rhodey.
*We had some issues with the movie audio on this upload. Regardless, we hope you enjoy our reaction!* We appreciate your support as always! ❤️

Fun Fact. The final battle scene in the grotto with the drones was storyboarded by Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of Samurai Jack.
R.I.P. Gary Shandling (The hostile Senator) Great comedian
