I bought an other plant and I found a leaf of this plant in it. And it had rooted already. Now I have a baby plant of this kind and I gave it a pot. I think this is the cutest thing ever that this plant just came to me like that.
Thank you so much! I got this as a mystery plant a few months ago and never knew how to take care of her until I learned her name today! Can’t wait to actually get her in some proper sunlight 🥰💕
I am so thankful youve posted that video because there are nearly no information about this plant. My plant is as big as yours, a little bigger. Ive bought it about 4 months ago and the plant keeps growing. Now the longer shoots are starting to fall down. Do i have to shorten the plant? If yes, where do i have to cut? would be thankful for your reply :)
I'm having this same problem. My mostly looks like hers except mine has as many leaves on the top as hers does on the bottom, making the stalks quite heavy.
Hii! I am so sorry I missed this comment earlier! When my plant began to grow really long, I just cut back a bit and now it is a bit stronger.. did you cut in the end?
Thank you so much! I just got a couple of peperomia today including this one! I automatically put it with the rest of the peperomia in the partial shade until you said that it likes direct sunlight. So now it's sitting in my window sill 😜
Hello! I currently have a quite large red log plant. However, the stems are incredibly long and are hanging over the pot! They don’t look like they’re dying, but they have fallen over and I’m not sure how to get them to stand upright. Any suggestions?
I just got one.. its beautiful ! for this week it might be closer to the patio door, it's winter so the door is closed for most of the day, except a few times when my dog has to be let out. I live in Edmonton, I hope its a good spot. I will keep an eye on it. :) Your video was nice! Thanks
That’s a pretty one! I just bought a mini Lorena. Ever since I saw your video it was another plant on my list and as soon as I saw it I was so excited my heart hurt! 😭❤️. I hope mine grows as beautiful and big as yours. I’ve never seen them so big until I saw yours. -xo 💕
AH! This comment made me smile! Hope it grows beautifully! But I can already know it will since she will have so much love! Sending a big hug to you :) !
My peperomia has started producing stems with more leaves as off-shoots from the main stems. Is that normal? The leaves are a little droopy to be honest, but they're not falling off. Could that be related?
Hey! Love this video, thanks for sharing! I can’t seem to find the answer to my red log inquiry so maybe you can help! My plant doesn’t stand up/tall like yours, and all the others I’ve seen. It looks like it’s wilting and vining down the sides of my pot, and I’m not sure what to do! Help!
Hi your video was very helpful! Do you know what kind of soil this plant prefers? I'm getting ready to repot mines into a clay pot and I can't find any info on soil type for it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
Hi Lilly! So glad to know you found the video helpful :) I'd say a potting mix with good drainage would be best for this plant. I use my homemade potting mix and would add a bit extra of pumice / perlite (preferably pumice) for better drainage :) You can find the video here: ruclips.net/video/EMBzzbQ_nr8/видео.html
Hello! Thank you for information :). My plant has recently gotten a green spots on the back of the leafs (on the red part) . The spots are located almost identicaly on many leafs. Did anyone have simular experience with that? Any tips?
Does anyone know what kind of humidity this plant will tolerate? It's got an excellent growth pattern for a large terrarium I'm building, but you know how humidity goes with terrariums...
aaaah gracias! Lucia mi planta se ve un poco triste pero parece que las ojas son naturalmente caidas? mi planta no esta derechita hacia arriba como la tuya. La mia parece que quiere crecer hacia abajo... :) es normal?
I actually have a really big one of these that i got from propogation. Just cut of some stems, put them in water and they will grow root. Then you can just pot them after :)
Hi! You know, this winter I brought her close to a grow light and she is growing wonderfully! More compact but with so many leaves! I'd say that in order to prevent leggy growth, we should provide bright light for her :)
Thank you for the information you have provided; there is indeed very little information to be found. I have mine now about 6 months and since putting it in my front window (southerly direction) is has found its happiness. The shoots are now approaching 40-50 cm in height but they can't stand on their own, so I put sticks into the plant pot for the shoots to lean on... I'm wondering what is best... to let the shoots fall over to their sides or should I continue to support its upward growth with sticks or even a frame. Thank you for any advice you can give.
Hi! This is a great question, mine has also grown a lot so what I usually do is cut the extra long stems and put them in water to propagate them :) This has encouraged new growth in the mother plant, and give me other red logs :) If you do do this, make sure to cut the leaves at the bottom of your cutting so only the stems touch the water and the leaves are above the water :) Hope this is helfpul!
Help! My new plant came with the tag: Peperomia Rubella but it does look very similar to this guy. It is also very common that I've seen plants with wrong tags from the nurseries in my city. Any tips to tell what it is?
Thank you so much! I recently bought this plant and there is not much information about it online at all.. I had her on a shelf in my living room (north facing) but she kept dropping leaves all over the place and I thought she might have mealybugs. I sprayed her with rubbing alcohol solution and moved her to my kitchen window (east facing) and now she is doing much better! She is actually growing long stems, and it's nice to see yours and see how she is meant to look! Very useful information, thanks! One more thing, I live in London - will she be OK when it is winter time?
Hiii! Thank you for your comment! I'm very happy the video is useful and that your peperomia verticillata is feeling better now ♥️! This plant requires lots of sunshine, so if winter is very dark in London, I would maybe recommend trying lighting for plants at your house, that way she gets the light that she needs💡😊 Let me know if this is helpful and we are in contact for anything else ♥️♥️

Hi! Well, with this plant I only water once I feel that the soil is dry. So I stick my finger till the second knuckle and check :) I usually water every week or so (but always check!), and then you can leave it in water for 10-15 minutes.. it is more about how often you water it and always let the extra water drain down so the soil is moist but not wet :)
