I think it's great to introduce someone to Angelina by showing them the two ends of her progression (so far). In 2014 I was sitting in a control room with a band and the producers and we were listening to mix play back and I had at sometime before found the gloomy Sunday video from Angelina and it was paused, during the playback I noticed everyone kept looking at the screen then after the playback was over and a small discussion about it the producers looked at me and said can you play that? I said of course and sent the audio signal to a set of monitors; as the song started to play 3 band members were about to leave the room when she started to sing everyone stopped what they were doing and just listened I bumped the volume up a bit and we were all entranced; when she reached the start of the chorus everyone was sucked in no one was even moving. I looked over at the other Engineer and the producers and they were all glued to the screen. When it was over the room was dead quiet for about 5 seconds then erupted in everyone saying play it back LOL 2 more times of this and I looked at a producer and said she's going to go a long way he said nah! she's a anomaly I said your wrong. And she has proven that over and over, this young lady is not a prodigy she is a vocal virtuoso and then some.

I still feel like I am responsible for it taking so long for Sabina to introduce Henri to Angelina's music since I spoiled your surprise during one of your live streams a few months ago. I sincerely apologize once again for that. Henri's first words after Million Miles were, I feel. The two most common words used by reactors to Angelina. Everyone FEELS her music. IMO Angelina is the best singer story teller of my 62 years as she makes me FEEL like I am part of the song. There have been so many covers she has done where I had heard the original many times but when listening to Angelina, I understand the lyrics and the story the song was meant to convey. Angelina’s manager from the beginning is her uncle Michael Astar. From article of Music Norway interview we learn that Michael was raised in Japan and music was always his passion. After his family moved to Norway, Michael became a hip-hop DJ. As a 16-year old he was a DJ at 21+ night clubs in Oslo, Norway, getting the gigs because he looked older and no one asked his age before being hired. After getting tired of being a DJ, Michael started a music management company in 2013, and 3 months later, with no clients yet, Angelina signed-up to try out for Norway’s Got Talent. Angelina’s first audition when 7-years old was a cover of Billie Holiday’s song “Gloomy Sunday” that went viral when it got uploaded to RUclips. Then Angelina won Norway’s Got Talent, had other viral RUclipss, performed on Norway, US and other TV shows and her career started to take off. Eventually she had over 1 billion views of her performances on RUclips and Facebook before Angelina’s appearances on the American’s Got Talent - The Champions show. Her performances there further accelerated her career. At this point, Angelina asked her uncle Michael if it was possible for her to move to the US to pursue her music dreams. Michael says this was a tough call, and he asked himself questions like; how on earth are you going to pull this off? What about a VISA? What about finances? I convinced them to give me a contract where Angelina is free from any deal if she performs, she is great for their TV show and Angelina will get the exposure she needs to breakthrough, because I knew, the talent is one of the kind like no other, I just needed her to be seen and was on a daily hunt for how to get the right spot for her in the USA.” After, Angelina’s success on America’s Got Talent, she eventually signed with Republic Records in August 2020 where Angelina was told she was Republic’s highest priority new artist. Michael says the commitment with the right interest in mind has been one of the most important things when choosing a team and partners to be part of Angelina’s team. “You also need to choose someone with the right chemistry. These are the people you have to deal with on a daily basis, you have to have a good feeling and chemistry with the team you choose.” Although no specifics yet, Michael says that the plans for Angelina include going global. Advice from Michael: “Go with your instinct, it never fails, crazy how nature does that. Always be humble, you get way further being a nice person, people tend to be nice back. I had a therapist tell me once that nervousness and excitement are basically the same emotion, it is just how we mentally interpret the feeling we are having that is the difference. Angelina is such an optimistic person it is no wonder she feels the excitement.

She sings in English! That's her third language. You know she's from Norway. There, everyone speaks Norwegian. From the age of 6, Angelina read and sing English texts and understand what everything means! She is amazing in many ways.

Let me share what everyone who was at the Arena said the night she sang Bohemian Rhapsody on America's Got Talent...WOW!
She wrote this song in memory of her grandfather that recently passed. She said she hoped it will comfort people that have lost a loved one. She said it came straight from her heart to ours.

Angelina wrote the beautiful and moving Million Miles as a tribute to her maternal grandfather, who passed away in November, 2019. She said, "This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. Angelina’s manager from the beginning is her uncle Michael Astar. From article of Music Norway interview we learn that Michael was raised in Japan and music was always his passion. After his family moved to Norway, Michael became a hip-hop DJ. As a 16-year old he was a DJ at 21+ night clubs in Oslo, Norway, getting the gigs because he looked older and no one asked his age before being hired.
After getting tired of being a DJ, Michael started a music management company in 2013, and 3 months later, with no clients yet, Angelina signed-up to try out for Norway’s Got Talent. Angelina’s first audition when 7-years old was a cover of Billie Holiday’s song “Gloomy Sunday” that went viral when it got uploaded to RUclips. Then Angelina won Norway’s Got Talent, had other viral RUclipss, performed on Norway, US and other TV shows and her career started to take off. Eventually she had over 1 billion views of her performances on RUclips and Facebook before Angelina’s appearances on the American’s Got Talent - The Champions show. Her performances there further accelerated her career.
At this point, Angelina asked her uncle Michael if it was possible for her to move to the US to pursue her music dreams. Michael says this was a tough call, and he asked himself questions like; how on earth are you going to pull this off? What about a VISA? What about finances? Are you willing to sell everything you have and own, and also get a loan to risk everything? Michael related that “These were questions I had to ask myself, several times a day. Then, I remembered, what did my mom do when she went to Japan? She didn’t even talk Japanese or knew anyone. She did it because she risked everything for a better future.”
So, Michael flew alone to Los Angeles, studied and learned anything he could learn from the people he got to know during his time in the Industry. After gathering a bunch of people, he came back to Norway and started the process. He indicated that “A few months later, I told her, PACK YOUR BAGS! We are going next week to pursue your dream! All in baby. Her smile made it all worth the hassle.”
“We stayed patient because the way this industry works is bizarre and you have to dodge bullets right and left to get anywhere. But would I do it again? Of course! Life without challenge is boring," Michael says.
For Michael, a lot of his time involves talking with industry people, to see what’s happening out there. Having recently become a father and with COVID-19, time has become even busier and more crazy than usual. “There is a lot of stuff happening with Angelina, and it requires daily briefings with a lot of people.”
America’s Got Talent had always been interested in bringing Angelina to the show, but with their normal contract, artists are being locked into a label, management, and other things for many years. Michael says that it did not matter if you get exposure or not, it was out of the question to give away that many rights.
This kind of patience eventually paid off. Michael said that “Some time passed and they again contacted me, asking if she wanted to sing on their show. I convinced them to give me a contract where Angelina is free from any deal if she performs, she is great for their TV show and Angelina will get the exposure she needs to breakthrough, because I knew, the talent is one of the kind like no other, I just needed her to be seen and was on a daily hunt for how to get the right spot for her in the USA.”
After, Angelina’s success on America’s Got Talent, she eventually signed with Republic Records in August 2020 where Angelina was told she was Republic’s highest priority new artist. Michael says the commitment with the right interest in mind has been one of the most important things when choosing a team and partners to be part of Angelina’s team. “You also need to choose someone with the right chemistry. These are the people you have to deal with on a daily basis, you have to have a good feeling and chemistry with the team you choose.”
Although no specifics yet, Michael says that the plans for Angelina include going global.
Advice from Michael: “Go with your instinct, it never fails, crazy how nature does that. Always be humble, you get way further being a nice person, people tend to be nice back. Always read the contract. Find a good lawyer (It’s super hard to find the good one, but with dedication, you can). Don’t rely on people, you want something done? Do it yourself. If you are good at something, never do it for free (Quote from the Joker).”

The Song Million Miles, written by Angelina, was written because of her losing her grandpa but she also wanted people who have experienced a similar loss to get comfort from her words.

I came upon Angelina over 3 years ago and it's been a love affair ever since. I am like a proud grandfather having watched her grow from the beautiful and talented little cherub in Gloomy to the statuesque and musically brilliant beauty she is in Miles.
Henri was on point - although I don't listen to Angelina all day, I do listen to her daily. And this remains a mystery to me: each repeat performance I listen to seems just as fresh, and stirs my heart and soul, just like my first.

I am always, yes always enchanted and mesmerized by Angelina's singing. A Million Miles, written by Angelina in order to grieve over her grandfather's passing. You can feel the loss and emptiness and the connection even in death. It is a beautiful soulful song.

Angelina has publicly stated that she gets excited but never nervous.
I had a therapist tell me once that nervousness and excitement are basically the same emotion, it is just how we mentally interpret the feeling we are having that is the difference. Angelina is such an optimistic person it is no wonder she feels the excitement.
Swirling and hypnotic. One of the judges on America's Got Talent, Howie Mandel, also said he had one word to describe listening to Angelina...Hypnotic. Loved this idea of the first performance on NGT and a current original. Hope to see Henri with you more often Sabina. Very enjoyable.

I never knew reactors were a thing until I wanted to share my feelings and see how others reacted to her amazing musicality and a voice that she can manipulate to match the emotion of the song. This girl is a musical prodigy, and the sheer volume of her repertoire on RUclips speaks to the hours she has spent mastering her talents. She deserves much of the credit for getting me through the lockdowns of the past 1 1/2 years. She sings in English! That's her third language. You know she's from Norway. There, everyone speaks Norwegian. From the age of 6, Angelina read and sing English texts and understand what everything means! She is amazing in many ways.
She had lived in the US for a while. That helped.

Thank`s Henri & Sabina. So spot on. There may never be to much of Angelina`s voice. Her voice and her art is like magic. And it all comes from within her. From her heart and soul. There is never an Angelina performance without a massive amount of emotions, grabbing a hold on our inner heart and soul. No doubt she was born for this, and she loves what she does.
Suggestion for your next Angelina review; - her two versions of "Summertime" at 8 in the NGT final and at 10 with a full classical orcestra, and may be her latest original "7th Heaven", or perhaps "A Song For A" as she was 12 and does the original vocals on the song, composed for her to sing, by the russian composer Nico Cartosio (audio only). All amazing. Of course. :-)
