With her family who was so wise to protect her from the ravages of the music industry until she has a sense of herself, an uncle who has the skill to manage her career, blessed with an almost unnatural sense of confidence, her incredible voice, her perfect pitch, her sense of managing those who she works with... OMG I could go on an on...
We are so lucky that we can watch her growth from this tiny, adorable girl into who she is today, an elegant, poised, graceful, beautiful young lady.

She is studying in Oslo Waldorf School at the Vestre Holmen area.
She also attended the Oslo School of Music and Performing Art. From the school, she received her vocal training.
Angelina Jordan- Professional Career
As a child, she was helped by her grandma who happens to be an artist by profession. At the age of 5, she asked her mother to sign for Talent contests.
In March 2014, she went for the audition for the show, Norway’s Got Talent. Due to her mesmerizing performance, she won the Talent show. At the time, she was only seven years old.

Excellent work Asia and BJ, but there are videos of Angelina singing at 5 and 6 years old. In my opinion, the moment that Angelina shows her potential is at 6 years old, singing I Who Have Nothing, in the studio with her high school teacher, filmed by her grandmother's cell phone, who is the great encourager and mentor of God's gift. Filming is worth it, as it already shows your powerful voice!

The key to her sound, is the Vibrato , listen again, she had that down!
This is you're first step, the next one ,which is her second performance on this show is ( I'M A FOOL TO WANT YOU) also Billie Holiday ,and she does it accapella, while the other contestants look on with expressions that say " We might as well go home"!
Angelina wanted to go on NGT as early as age five; seven years was the youngest opportunity; her mother allowed Angelina's request. Her family is very nurturing of her talents, but also cognizant of childhood. Angelina pushes herself with parental and family support; they encourage with love and it shows. Angelina's humility toward her talent is a testament to her parents, grandparents, other family members, and teachers. I encourage you to go even earlier than age seven. Nice reaction.
Actually her grandmother was a child prodigy herself in poetry and art, and she was the one who played jazz around Angelina which inspired Angelina to love jazz. But, her extended family did provide the environment where Angelina could cultivate her passion and artistry. Very unusual in the case of most children whose parents push them, she was allowed to push herself.

She will not only be a singer she has talent in many areas. She will be a writer an actress, a leader.Watch.
We are all born with talents. Most of us don’t recognize our talents or are lazy procrastinators who don’t do much to nourish them. Yes Angelina was born with several talents but credit has to go to her family and especially for her grandmother who inspired and mentored her and her mother who allowed her to be who she wanted to be and took the time to accompany her to all her rehearsals and later on to all of her public performances. Credits to her little sister Juliette who many may think she is living in the shadow of her older sister but honestly the two of them adore each other like no other two sisters. Credit to her uncle/manager who uprooted his own family to move to the USA in order to help his niece to chase her dream of singing and bringing joy to the whole world. Her father is a very private person. He did accompany her to NGT audition and although we don’t see him or hear much about him, I’m sure he is the proudest dad in the world. Last but not least most of the credit has to go to Angelina for being so focused from a very young age on what she wants from life and for her unequalled dedication and work ethics in order to achieve what she wants.

Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Audions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on RUclips before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Glommy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ✌😎✌💯 *AJ* 💯🎙

I read somewhere that Angelina’s mother at that moment when we see her in the video realised that she had ”lost her to the world”. I think in a way she was right, not that she lost her but that she has to share her with the rest of us and for that we can only be grateful. 😊
In an interview her mom said that she cried at that moment because she fully realized that this was the moment she 'lost' her daughter to the world, i.e. that it would never be the same again.
Listen to her sing Bohemian Rhapsody. Anything that child sings is beautiful. I could listen to her all day. She also wrote “Million Miles” for her grandfather who passed away. Beautiful song!
Angelinas choice of this song is way beyond her years. When one of the judges ask her what this song is about, she answers in a way that a child would do, while the song itself (look up the lyrics) is about a woman that has lost her dear one and think of ending her own life to follow him. Angelinas performance is done without the most disturbing part of the lyrics. A sad song, a really gloomy Sunday, indeed.
It was her Grandma, Iranian artist Mery Zamani, who introduced her to Jazz and Billy Holiday. She always was inspiration and empowering. She creates her style with her, paintings videos etc. You can see her at the end of this video, when they are leaving. Angelina sang about her in a part her version of "Rehab" where she changed the lyrics. She calls her "her other half" So yes, her family is her "Shield" (original song). And Asia: without having had that, you finally have become such a great person! Be proud! Love&respect!
To REALLY appreciate what Angelina is doing with this song, go back and listen to Billie Holiday singing this, then listen to Angelina again. She absolutely nailed this at 7 years old. I've heard that she talked her Mom in to taking her to Norway's Got Talent when she was 6, and they told her she couldn't try out until she was 7. The next year we all know what happened.

We fans have the impression that we're raising her as we follow every step she makes in her career. We've seen her grow up even at earlier age (1 & 1/2 y-o). We've seen her at kindergarten and her first studio recording at 6. Now she's 15 and she doesn't stop amazing us. Keep reacting to Angelina. Hello you two, wonderful reaction. I sometimes say that my eyes are bigger then my stomach. Well, in these early performances one can clearly hear that Angelinas talent is bigger then her lungs. 😉 She already sings very beautifully, but you can also see that she has a very clear picture in her mind of what she wants the song to sound like, but her little frame can't support those intentions all the way just yet, it is so adorable to watch.😍 A superstar in the making alright...

Thank youuu guys! Now you have seen it! I asume you are about to get to fully understand why this girl is so precious to so many of us. Her voice and amazing skills in music, all from this day some 7 years ago. Her bare feet and the reason for it. Her white dress. And all of these stunning emotional moments of greate music she keeps trowing at us since that day. She tear us up and make us cry out of pure beauty, joy and amusement. She can do no wrong. So thank you for taking this journey. We simply love to see the word and music of Angelina spred ever wider around our world. Guys, that was the official beginning of a career destined to be something like none of us have ever seen before.
I've seen this at least 2 or 300 hundred times already and the part that really tugs at my heart is when they show mom backstage looking at Angelina singing on a monitor. Can you begin to imagine what's going through her mind!? She has been quoted as saying she was crying because she knew she was losing her daughter to the world. I can understand that but what I feel is how proud she must of been. You have to believe she was a nervous wreck before she started singing. But, once she was in her comfort zone, Angelina was basically telling mom, "nothing to worry about, I got this!" But, talk about a proud mommy! And, how about grandma in the audience? She was the head cheerleader and i'll bet she was the one who made many of those posters.
I did hear what you said, Asia. You can be an inspiration for all those kids who think the deck is stacked against them or, they're not getting the support the need to rely on. Do your thing and don't let anything mess you up. Right, Asia? Hey look. Look what Angelina said in the video at 7 years old. She wanted to be a superstar. She had a dream. Grant you, she's been blessed with a wonderful family but because of her strong desire she got her family to believe in her. If kids can't find that support at home, Asia, what would you recommend they do? Let us know in an upcoming video. I think you can be a great help to some kids struggling out there .

My favorite reaction to AJ yet from you guys. Loved it!! You must do her next performance a few weeks later "I'm A Fool To Want You" a cappella, also Billie Holiday. There is a great mash up of AJ and Billie as well. Her first public show with Gloomy Sunday, was an astonishing event for those who lived it at that moment, the emotion one feels for her first performances, in which she wonderfully connects her voice and talent with aspect of that little bird playing, it is very big and intense and leaves you permanently marked. ❤️ ❤️ To think that at 7 years she was perfectly capable of reading, analyzing and making contact, in a foreign language, without any doubt or fear, with the public and with the talented judges seems impossible. She convinced her mother to sign her up for Talent because she was confident ... at seven years! In the days following the performance, her online video recorded over 5 million views in a country, the Norway, which has as many inhabitants 😁
I have read somewhere in the thousands of comments to our girl, that she actually wanted to go on this show when she was 5 years old. Her mama though, wisely told her that she had to wait at least a couple of years. And remember, she wanted to sing for Simon Cowell when she was three.

Angelina started very young with her grandma coaching her on old Billy holiday songs. She actually was just a baby when listening to these old song.
She just has so much fun singing and for her Music is a fun ride she gets to take us all on. If you haven't hurd her Own composition you Must here "Million Miles" its about her feeling at loosing her Grandfather and its a statement for how far below the bar the Music industry has fallen.
I saw where the reason she’s always barefoot is she once met a little girl that didn’t have shoes so she gave her the shoes off her feet AND performs barefoot as a tribute to that little girl and those less fortunate. Amazing gesture from one so young. Raised well for sure.
Being an Angelina fan and watching some interviews with the MC's of different shows that most of her musical inspiration comes from her Grandmother who played old Jazz classic records.

When in 2010 the child Evancho won talent in America, in 2012 in the Czech Republic Patricia Janeckova and in 2014 Willighagen in Holland, I watched the duel of their fans which is the best. (For me Janeckova 💘) then dear yuotube recommended Angelina to me. It's been 7 years, hundreds of hearings and still the same chills, still the same tears and my nose is runny 😄 He can always surprise me. I think, for Angelina, jazz is like another language, learned from birth. I think she was born with a predisposition to absorb music in its entirety, into a nurturing home of jazz enthusiasts so she was surrounded by love, by stability, and by jazz. The result is nothing short of amazing…her natural leaning towards music was fed by what she heard. That’s why she’s never nervous…jazz and really all singing is just what she does. It’s who she is.

“The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but “Gloomy Sunday “ was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after
midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad, where I wanted to listen to jazz on RUclips before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song “Gloomy Sunday” that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song.”
(Sara, Angie's mom was asked what she thought when she saw her on the screen backstage, (she was wiping her tears when watching) I knew I had just lost my little girl to the world ) The family has always been very close & since that even more protective of her from the entertainment industry’s vultures & hyena's.
Angelina's mother was at the Bohemian Rhapsody with family in the Front row! Most didn't realize it?! Angelina grew up in a Jazz family. We don't hear much about her Father but, was very, very close to her Grandpa! That's where "Million Miles" came from!
Video of this performance was posted to YT shortly after it was broadcast on TV, and it went viral. Within a week, she was being reported on by news outlets around the world, including CNN, Time, The Mirror (in the UK) and The Hollywood Reporter. Her family could easily have begun cashing in big time at that point (and even more so after she won the competition), but they didn't. They have shown _herculean_ restraint in the years since, turning down 90% of offers that have come in (according to her mother when Angelina was 10), saying yes mainly to charity events and the like, and always putting her schooling and having a normal childhood above everything else. It's truly incredible that they were able to wait as long as they did to sign with a major record label (announced in August 2020), despite being courted by some of the biggest names (individuals and companies) in the entertainment/music industry.
