The first time I saw and heard Angelina sing this song ( this version on NGT ), I wept all the tears my soul could shed... At the end of the song, I was shaking so much that I can barely describe it, I had never experienced something like that in all my life. She definitely is an Archangel, her talent is supernatural...God bless her.

I read that Angelina couldn't sleep one night, so she asked to borrow her mother's iPad and found a beautiful lady named Billy Holliday singing a beautiful song called Gloomy Sunday. Someone did a mashup of Billy and Angelina singing this song and Angelina is so true to the original in every way.

I had never heard the original before listening to this for the first time. What is most amazing is how close Angelina's cover is to it, and how a 7 year old can reproduce all those complex vocal nuances.

Every performance of Angelina Jordan is a masterpiece. She has pure talent. You need to listen to her version of Bohemian Rapsody which she performed on AGT the Champions. Spoiler - SHE WON.
I was fortunate to catch this performance several years ago, it was the first time I had ever seen Angelina. No matter how many times I see this, I am completely and utterly captivated. Even those doubting God’s existence must surely see that He sent us this unworldly, most precious Angel. She is perfection. The little bare feet, the hair, the sweetest baby smile with missing teeth. She is growing up to be a rare beauty, and remains yet untouched, true to herself. The judge was correct-she IS music. She also provides an argument for reincarnation - how on Earth can a small child embody and express the suffering of a sophisticated jazz singer from another era and country? It seems impossible, not only to feel emotions she is far to young to have experienced, but to make us feel it as well. We are swept away, in her powerful, raw, soulful rendition, executed so perfectly. Angelina is genuinely true to, and remarkably confident of her unique self. She inspires me to wonder what talents we would find in ourselves, if we let go of doubt, trusted in our own uniqueness, and stopped worrying ‘what other people think’.
I LOVE watching people react to this. Thank you Barry, for playing it twice, and not interrupting the first time! I have never seen anyone criticize anything about this girl. What a gift to this crazy world, something we can all come together and share, in perfect awe, and love.❤️
Angelina at 7 years old had to wait as she was the last audition of the night and this was her first performance.
She makes me glad I'm not a Singer trying to compete with her.
Angelina Jordan is a music prodigy she started singing at age of 1.5 years and more than that she started with Billy Holiday Jazz. Angelina speaks 3 languages, designs her own clothes, and has written a very popular book called "Mellom to hjerter" (Between Two Hearts) a story about why she wears no shoes during her performances, and like her name she truly is an angel with a heart of gold. Angelina won Norway's got talent she started the competition at 7 years old and won at 8 years old. Her younger years before age 13 she was watched over by her mother (Sara) and her Uncle who just wanted her to grow up normal. Her mother and uncle Turned down almost 90% of all requests for her to perform but even so from age 7years to 12 years old or so, she has been all over the world (Mother never more than a breath away) Angelina has produced over 130 covers, and she makes all of them her own, all of which will astound you. New people to Angelina get sucked down this road of experience not believing what they're hearing her excellent vocals and unique way of singing, Angelina is a master at music structure her ability to show absolute recognition to a cover while she makes it her own. Angelina writes her own music and produces it. Angelina's mother is Norwegian, her father is from Sweeden The artist grandmother (Mery Zamani) on her mother's side is from Iran and her grandfather (recently deceased) is from Japan both grandparents are very involved with Angelina's growing up, Angelina's song a million miles is about losing her grandfather. Although Angelina didn't win AGT champions 2021 she was signed to Republic record label and is producing new music 7th Heaven, Million Miles, Save the world shes on her way to a world market that I'm sure she'll dominate.

Not even mentioning that English is not her first language and she had to nail it under extreme pressure.There are so many layers to Angelina's artistic talents and most come from her loving family's nurturing.Well done Barry,you really feel her gift.

She is absolutely amazing. And has been amazing since age six. I remember watching this audition on telly when I aired. I was all tears long before the song was over. I've been playing music since I was 12 yo. Never in my life have I ever heard a more promising voice for singing. Time has showed us that Angelina Jordan (double first name. Last name Astar;-) can sing any genre of music, make any rendition her own, and do it better than the original artist. She has been top tier since age 11-12. Top tier in the world that is. Amongst all femal vocalist. Today and trough history. I think, when people compare her to Amy Whinehouse, they overrate Amy and underrate Angeline. She can sing like Amy (in her own way). And she can also sing many, many different styles as well.

I often wonder how those judges felt. They're watching a succession of singers and there's good and bad and dreadful, were they a bit bored, Were they just tired from the day and thinking of home? One more and we're done. And then in walks this little street urchin looking girl, cute as a button 1 front tooth, raggedy hair......and then she proceeds to channel the greatest singer ever, flawlessly 😮. It must have blown their minds. And I'm sure it still does.

There are 3 extremely talented people that I've had the privilege to watch from youth to adulthood in my lifetime. Little Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and now Angelina. I can't think of any others that have what these 3 have. To say they are prodigy's is an understatement. IMHO. 😎

I listen to Dimash if I want to hear technical expertise and for hitting notes which no one else can hit. I listen to Angelina to FEEL the music and be delivered a song unlike any other. Angelina's voice hugs my soul and she is the only one to ever make me cry. I listen to Dimash less than 1% of the time while Angelina is my all time favorite artist and could listen to her all day long.

Seems it was a long time ago you listened to Dimash, you have probably not heard him sing emotional songs as Karagym-ai but no one is obliged to be touched by Dimash. As I love music and talented singers I think both of them are fantastic. Dimash would be the first to praise Angelina, HE would never lower himself to talk negative of another artist. Thats another reason to love him, such a role model. Angelina continues to develop wonderfully and she also seems to have such a nice personality. Be inspired!

I'd like to point out two facts which come out of this performance. First one is Angelina has been interviewed on many occasions to give us an explanation of how she can sing a song like she's lived the story behind the song. Her answer was when she starts to sing she goes "somewhere" in a beautiful place and feels the music.
The other point is the woman crying backstage is her mom, Sara, and when she was interviewed about what she was thinking when she was crying, her answer at that very moment was she believed she was losing her daughter to the world. Of course that never happened and never will.
Hope you can react to Angelina's performance of 7th heaven. She's a lot older there but still in your age range.
Yes the very very old age of 14! Her first release after signing with Republic Records which she wrote with Stargate. (This is dedicated to everyone who has lost a love one. It is dedicated to her grandfather.)

Glad you finally posted this one :) This was the performance that introduced Angelina to the world. Your title says "nothing special?"... I think anyone with ears could tell this was someone very special in only the first few lines of this. The whole "7 year old" thing aside... who else in the world could sound like this? This pure and seasoned with so many subtle inflections. I say nobody... of any age. This is as special as special gets IMO ;)

@Rusty Shackleford one word that could be used to describe Angelina is “special” but that word alone wouldn’t even come close to describing her. I put that in the title to help entice viewers that had never heard her before and also to grab the attention of those that have. It’s a question that is very quickly answered the moment she begins to sing and if the viewers listen to my opening monologue, I also let them know what to expect from the singer we are about to enjoy. I hope everyone understands I am in no doubt about Angelina’s incredible talents and I look forward to reacting to lots, lots more 👍

So many unusual things about this. In addition to what Barry mentioned, there's the song choice--how many young singers in North America know about Billy Holiday? And this song in particular? Then there's her vibrato, her timing, her ability to sustain pitch-perfect notes. None of this is normal for a 7-year old girl. No wonder the video immediately went viral.

A perfect song for you to post today, it truly is a gloomy "rainy" Sunday in Bama. If you believe in reincarnation, well... There is your proof. She's got an old Jazz singer from the 20s running up and down her spirit. TOO good.

Her Birthday is January 10, 2006. In January 2021 she was 15.
Also just before she was on Norway's Got Talent, she recorded some songs in the studio of the music school she was attending since she was 4. My 2 favorites are "I Who Have Nothing " and "Running in the Deep " at age 6.

Angelina has matured nicely since this performance at 7 years old. She kills “I put a Spell on You” at 9 years old and at 13, she dropped jaws on AGT Champions singing “Bohemian Rhapsody”
You should also check out 9 year old Amira Willenhagen’s audition on Holland’s Got Talent. Be sure to get the English subtitles because the judges comments are priceless.
