What makes this very personal she’s performing a song in her home in Norway for her and her father was together and grandmother a lot her grandfather was Japanese so she went to Japan I need a tribute to him in Japan sing the last song in Japanese in honor of her grandfather!

Very few are genuine and and most don't have the sincerity and compassion it takes to expose their soul in this way; and because she CAN--and does--do this, people are drawn to her incredible humanity. This young lady makes this old guys eyes water with nearly every song she sings. She reaches deep in your soul and pulls all the emotions out, and that is one of the reasons I lover to listen to her. My condolences for your loss. You are right to turn to music to help cope with losing someone. Angelina has done this many times over the years with her beautiful tributes. I think this song is not as much about loss as it is about remembering those we have lost, and being comforted in the thought that they are always with you. Well I lost my dad, all my grandmothers and grandfathers a long time ago....But I recently lost my mom...right before all this covid nonsense hit...So glad she barely skipped all that, and I'm thankful she left before she had to go through that nightmare...

I miss her but was grateful it worked out in the timing because that would have been over the top for my full time caretaking of her on top of mothering my young children.

My grandfather passed away on Christmas Eve last month. When I fist listen to "Million Miles", I thought of all those memorable years spent with my granddad as a child. What is dead may never die. They not only live in Heaven nowadays but also live inside our hearts forever.

I've listened to this song 100 times and I cried each time thinking of my parents who passed. It's amazing how Angelina can affect so many people with her voice and songs. Please, give clarity here. Her recording for the Official Lyric Video of this song (made at the end of 2019 or early 2020) was when she had tears flowing, not this performance. While this is a good performance I think we can really feel her tears in the other version which is only slightly tweaked. As we all know she's quite capable of 'one take' excellence. I encourage everyone to listen to the lyric video also.

My goodness, watching you hold on with everything you have is making me cry! I've never connected with a reactor's reaction like this!! I was taken in by a family after my family fell apart. They let me sleep in their basement when I was a teen. "Dad" encouraged me to join the service. I eventually joined the Air Force. Later in my career as he was dying from ALS. When I finally got promoted to Chief Master Sergeant, I was able to visit him in a VA hospital and give him one of my Chief stripes. I told him that pull-out couch in the basement was the most comfortable bed I ever slept on because it was in a home filled with love. I believe I have my very own Marine Angel in heaven looking after me. His name is Richard Lissy :)
My wife says that I've changed for the better, with more smiles and kindness. It's because I start every day with Angelina (with a tissue near for inevitable tears as my heart is touched). I'm so fortunate of having made it to 80 years to hear this angel, a gift to a world too often filled with hate and violence. You know, your reaction is the typical response to this song/ girl. I can see a bunch of grandfather's all sitting around with a hand on their hearts and a warm glow on their face feeling remembered.
It is not enough that Angelina is stunningly beautiful, that she she has an incredible voice, that she can control that voice the way Michelangelo controlled a paintbrush, but she also has the unique ability to bathe us in emotions when she sings. She has been doing this since she first sang "Gloomy Sunday" at age seven and I don't think she will ever stop.

I just watched your reactions to Angelina’s songs. You said two things that I’ve said many times in my comments about her. First, it doesn’t matter if Angelina is in a small room, like here, or before thousands in an audience-she’s singing to you. From the opening notes, she connects right away, and you’re hooked for the full ride. She’s the best interpreter of lyrics I’ve ever heard. Secondly, on many of her songs, even though I’ve watched them so many times, I react physically to her performances. She can literally send the shivers down my spine. If you hadn’t guessed, she is my all-time favorite singer, and I’m in my seventies. No one is remotely close.
My suggestion for your next Angelina reaction is to watch her cover of an Adele song. Angelina makes you forget the original versions. Try “A Million Years Ago” or “Someone Like You”. Actually if you listen to one, you’ll definitely want to watch the other. It’s Angelina with her magical voice living the lyrics and making you feel the moments in your own life when those lyrics applied exactly to you. She is so amazingly authentic, genuine, and open.

We have a tendency to hold back on our feelings, especially of sadness. Angelina's first public introduction was through the song, Gloomy Sunday, a very dark song about losing someone and wanting to go to be with them. A distinguishing characteristic of Angelina is that she has never retreated from her feelings, always channelled her inner feelings of sadness, hope and joy. This is difficult for adults and at her age it is a near miracle to me. She has portrayed my grief, my resolve, my appreciation for life when I lost my mother recently. What a blessing to have such sensitivity and release through song. I hope you find the kind of solace that Angelina intended, for she has sung her song for you!

Dear one, my heart goes out to both of you. How wonderful that she chose this topic for her first single on her new label. She lost her other grandfather a couple of years ago and she said that she wished he could hear her perform and she could hug him again for just one second. If you want to break your heart again, her song for her other grandfather is her version of Always on My Mind--her grief is more apparent there. Her version of Adele's When We Were Young is stellar. If you're up for it, you should listen to her take on Lana del Rey's Born to Die or Young and Beautiful, both are magnificent. Others are The Show Must Go On, I Know I'm Not the Only One, or Happier.

I lost my father almost 1 year to the day when i found Angelina on RUclips and she has certainly helped me, i haven't stop listening to her since. She just captured my heart with her voice. It's always difficult to deal with the loss of someone very close special but it'll get easier with time. They're never really gone, they live on in our hearts and memories.
