Angelina Jordan won Norway’s Got Talent at the age of 8 in 2014, the prize for winning was eighty thousand dollars, this money was donated to children’s charities. At age 8 her first charity performance was in Germany to raise money for heart disease. Again, at age 8 she does a telethon for Plan International Children’s Charity. Still at age 8 she performs for Norwegian Sea Rescue Society Charity. On the 12th of Dec still at age 8, she performs at Save The Child Nobel Peace Prize, 4 days later, even though she has a very bad cold, she performs for the Swedish Heroes Foundation against her doctor's orders. At age 10 she performed for the Norwegian Refugee Council Charity. Also, age 10 she performed in Seoul in South Korea for Rotary International to raise money for children’s vaccinations. Angelina Jordan comes from a very wealthy family and does need the money, she, and her family want to share her wonderful talent with the world. This is what makes AJ and her family so very special. Amazing track from Angelina, it still hit me hard every time I hear this. Originally dedicated to her Grandad who she loved but sadly passed away. However it related to everyone who has felt grief and lost a loved one. In 2018 Angelina sang a cover of 'Always On My Mind' which she dedicated to her Grandfather after he passed away. Grandfather passed away 2018 is very close when she said he walked street together he told her I’ll be on the moon when I die don’t worry about it. I’ll wait watching you. Don’t worry what you do everything will be OK. Those words are in the she tried to sing this song when she was 12 when he died, but she couldn’t get that she broke down quite like a baby this time. We Republic helped her through it and talking about her grandpa post was, he loves your grandfather. He just passed away 2018 now she’s able to sing about it but she still has pain but never ever get over the loss of my loved ones but she said Ron Knott pretty loss were connected spiritually

Music and psychology, guess AJ originals are a perfect fit. Excellent reaction. This may be my favorite. The lyrics she wrote are awesome. The performance was great too. She's had more impressive vocals, some more suited to me, but that doesn't quite defeat this song for me I don't think. Obviously vocals can't get a whole lot better than this anyway, and this song is suited for everyone. If she blows up when her album drops and big money pushes her, I do think this song, two years later, blows up soon after. I can't wait to see her lyrics going forward, and to see her make her dreams come true.

The original recording by her production team of Stargate showed it to a representative of Republic Records who initiated the signing to RR on the family's terms. The RR rep returned to LA to actually meet her recently Johnathan(Sugar Foot) Moffett . This was a very interesting meeting where she sang 2 songs for him including I Have Nothing and Billie Jean.
Jeffrey Sugarfoot Moffett is a drummer, songwriter and producer who has worked with Madonna, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, etc. He was Michael Jackson's drummer for many many years. Since when did he become a rep for RR?

Rosalie, her maternal grandfather, was a Japanese Gentleman in the true sense of the meaning. He was known in Oslo, to help the homeless people with food and finding them jobs.
He took Angelina with him, so the streets of Oslo knew her, and she learned to care for others. I know she has brought dinner at Christmas to home less people in LA.

Listening to this recording, and the one Mery helped design the art for, of Million Miles always brings a stream of tears from the depth of I really don’t know where. It just touches my soul, every time, as if I am listening to it for the first time.
What you said about her grandpa and her helping people in the Oslo streets when Angelina was young makes so much sense and reveals a part of the depth.

She was balm to my soul, and since then, I gather info and stories about her. Thank you for this. The song is actually dedicated to her grandfather who passed away a year or two previously. She has since refined her performance and has delivered an amazing slow version at her recent Norway concerts. Her voice is still getting better and better!
Angelina wrote a timeless song that has no limited shelf life. It will always remain relevant as long as humans suffer the pain of losing their loved ones.
I'm not sure exactly how, but something about how Angelina arranges and performs any song whether original or cover makes you focus on the lyrics and their meaning. There are some songs I've been hearing all my life without thinking about or even understanding the lyrics until Angelina covers the song. An example would be "Billie Jean" which moves along so quickly in the original and the focus seems to be more on the music and performance than the words. Of course, this is merely my subjective experience and may differ for other people.

Angelina’s voice and her total being is like an ocean wave or soft summer breeze that takes you in and rushes you to places you have rarely experienced. Your heart rate increases, you find it difficult to catch your breath, chills and shells engulf you. You are now addicted to Angelina Jordan the finest story telling vocalist I have ever experienced.
I like your idea of a "One Sky" playlist, and I have the perfect addition for it: Angelina's cover of Suspicious Minds. She takes the Elvis Presley classic about domestic mistrust and transforms it into a diagnosis of one of the roots of the strife and violence we see in the world today. Highly recommended. She wrote this not long after her grandfather passed away and is singing to him. She was very close to him and had a painful period not having him around. The music video she created with the help of her grandmother, who is the one who influenced her direction in music by playing it all the time as she grew up.
From a posting she put on Facebook dated March 4, 2018,
" Our family lost a treasure today, my grandfather passed away. He was very close to me and have always supported me in everything I did. He always made me smile, laugh and gave me great life lessons. He was a man who got respect from all over the town, always helped people in need, he was the definition of a true gentleman and generous man with a big heart. He will be remembered by homeless people he helped to be able to make a living. He was in deep pain for a couple of months now, he will no longer suffer from the pain. May he rest in peace, our memories together will stay forever in my heart. Until we meet again. (heart emoji)", with his photo.

Wow! Great reaction & appreciation for not only Angelina's masterful, heartfelt singing - but also for her beautiful songwriting lyrics. This was written as a tribute to her late grandfather. Having lost my wife a few years back, I listen to this song every day & every time it brings tears to my eyes, but also comfort. As good as this studio version is with Angelina at 14, IMHO her recent live concert performance at age 16: "Million Miles - Live at Kongsberg 2022" is even better! Whether or not you react to it, you should check it out. Btw - Angelina did another song in tribute to her grandfather - Always On My Mind (I believe this was shortly after the funeral). "Million Miles" was the most impactful song in concert in Norway this summer, it was a scream of grief that touched the bottom of your soul. But she also was very happy to be finally back on stage again. Btw, I find it interesting that you organize the playlists for country, but so my favorite artists are in the same list. ;)
