I've recently watched the video "How to write the unthinkable" where one of the methods used by Lovecraft himself was not to write WHAT it is but rather write about the effect it has on the surroundings.
During first 60+ seconds after tasting Red Bull Negroni you said _nothing_ about the taste itself - but your reaction, the pure fear, the essense of agony on your face, trembling in your voice... It said more than any adjective could say. Well done, my friend, you have wrote the unthinkable.

I found that myself during writing.
I find it hard to make solid pictures with detailed description.
The more details there are the less I see. So, during my writing I'm using a mix of Actual descriptions and of "writing the unthinkable"
I actually got the idea to do it from a a video somewhere, forgot where or when. But it said that no words can ever hope to surpass what one can make up for himself in his mind. And I believe "writing the unthinkable" has that as its basis.
I know you asked for non of this 🤣

We mix lager and pilz beer with all kinds of random stuff here. Coke, sprite, juice, ginger ale, etc. One of my favorite weird german beer mixes is a banana wheat, ora light wheat beer blenden with a banana.

Once had a bartender outright refuse my usual drink order lmao. But i insist it's actually rly good and so far people agree with me! it's INCREDIBLY sweet but it's good, it's sambuca and coke if you're curious. i prefer white sambuca over black and most of the fun flavours work too with a few exceptions (notably BANANA. DO NOT HAVE BANANA SAMBUCA AT ALL BUT DEFFO NOT IN COKE)

I think whoever ordered the bloody Mary with fireball simply thought of fireball as a spicy liquor. Nothing more. They didn’t think of why it was spicy.

I'm pretty confident that the person who ordered the Red Bull martini wanted coffee completely removed from the recipe, and they were referring to an espresso martini because that was their only frame of reference for a modified martini.

Honestly? I'm thinking caffeine overload. Someone went "I want to get drunk but I need to be awake for this, so espresso and Red Bull sound like it'll get the job done"

You should totally compile some drinks that you thought were gross but the challenge of making them even better would be an awesome video in itself!

Guinness and Strongbow is known as a Crown Float! This is incredibly popular at local pubs in Canada. With sprite isn't that far off

Nice to see not all of these drinks were bad.
Also Greg my friend makes a bloody mary with tequila and instead of Worcestershire sauce, she uses AI steak sauce with a pickle instead of celery. It's pretty good and she likes to use it as a marinade as well

-ade here in the UK is just equivalent to Soda in the US, generally speaking (Orangeade = Orange Soda, Cherryade = Cherry Soda, Lemonade = Lemon soda). Sprite and other Lemon & Lime drinks are sometimes colloquially called "Lemonade" and used interchangeably, but at least as far as labelling goes, if you see something advertised as "Lemonade", it should just be lemon rather than lemon & lime.
Also, while Radler is sold here in some places, it's not very common, and more of a German thing - in the UK we'd call a half-beer, half-lemonade (or sprite) drink Shandy (lager shandy is most common, bitter shandy is also a thing if you want a more traditional ale mixed with lemonade, but Guinness shandy is a new one on me...). Or there's a "lager top", which is mostly lager, topped up with a dash of lemonade/sprite. If it's in a pub it's usually sprite (because they have sprite on the gun but not lemonade), but if the place serving it doesn't have a soda gun it's usually made with ordinary lemonade.

Greg, you are absolutely correct about Rumple. I think it was at every high school party I ever attended because, in my day 👴, every kid's parents had a bottle tucked away somewhere for Christmas hot cocoa. I was beer kid, but I saw my share of Gen X kids take shots of Rumple off the hood of a Datsun by the light of a tire fire in the desert.

I used to have a customer at Starbucks who ordered a shot of blonde espresso in a lemonade. We all felt compelled to try it and I can only imagine that's what the first version of the red bull espresso martini tasted like.

The Radler drinks I've had are a mix between a light colored beer (like a blonde, or a Pilsner), and Almdudler, which is an herbal soft drink similar(-ish) to ginger ale. Sprite is so one-note in comparison. I think the folks who ask for Sprite in their drinks really want to water it down with sparkling water but are afraid it won't be sweet enough...
