3 years too late but oh well thats how a lot of marching music is as it is in 116BPM (standard marching cadence) and it is done on every left foot so that they stay in time
@@qyometratrue ,in Philippines when we play march in marching band in bass drum,we play single beat(down beat)because of so tired if we play continuous and the tempo is changing when continuous, but down beating in bass drum is good and un-tiry to bass drummer

correct, it makes it easier to stay in time, bass drumming is hard!
