The word is definitely getting out. Just twice this week I had two people ask if my ATSV was a Blackwing. Shame the ATSV didn't sell more. I have one of 125 built for 2019 (1 of 4 in Wave Metallic Blue with the 6 speed). I guess everyone bought M3\M4s instead (I was one of them in 2015). Aside from the interior, I like the ATSV more. Keeping my eyes peeled for a 4BW since it seems to address my few gripes with the ATSV, like real buttons instead of the annoying CUE touch controls. I also love the two tone grey/black interior.

@@George0674 hopefully the slight redesign and interior don’t make it to pricey. right now the ct4, sport and v and blackwing are the perfect price beats bmw and others. so hopefully stays that way. I want one when my lease is up in 2025

As an owner of a 23 BW I so wish GM would inform the media who does reviews that carbon fiber 1 and 2 packages are not available on any 23 versions unless it’s a IMSA edition. Supplier problems. Every review says get carbon fiber. Good review though

GM ran out on thr earlier cars, and your test model, but people can call Cadillac Care and get one for FREE. Just give them your VIN number. I did that with mine and it looks better. Actually, I will not drive the Blackwing because everything is computer controlled, even the brakes. When you apply the brakes there is a sensor that send information to a computer that brakes the car while simultaneously applying resistance, so it feels like you are connected to the brakes. There is supposed to be a backup in case the computer loses its mind, but I don't trust it. Even worse, the emergency brake is also computer controlled so in a catastrophic computer failure you have nothing.
The accelerator is computer controlled, the suspension, and there are all sorts of driving aids that take over if you try what the computer thinks is a dangerous maneuver.
You are driving a car, other than sitting it, you are playing a computer game, where even the engine sounds in the cabin are computer generated and piped through your speakers.
I'm old school from the late sixties and early seventies when people actually drove cars, and if you screwed up, you suffered the consequences, not like today's wimps who have to be protected from everything.

Why would you complain that the car is not shifting fast when it's in comfirt mode? You don't want to be just cruising and have fast aggressive shifts . You want it to shift fast and aggressive when you're driving fast and aggressive. That's one of the complaints many people have with dial clutch cars. Which is why BMW uses the Zf8 in many cars. With all factors considered:
    OEM Performance
    Performance Ceiling
    Tuning gains with basic mods
    Performance Versatility(Drag, Roll, & Backroads)
    Practicality
    Drive-ability
Real World Cost( ie not the fake MSRP, but how much dealers was actually listing them for)
G80 Comp XD outperforms every single one of those listed above on the street from a dig... GT500 has the better roll but dealers were selling them for $145k, GTR $230k, C8 are slower then they should be for a two seater sports car, the only car that comes close(in all areas) was the RS3, but you have to spend another $15k-$20k in mods or so, and dealers had $12k-$17k markups on them..
With $4k of mods the G80 Comp XD is a 9 second 1/4 mile all weather all season highly practical performance daily driver. One minute I can have both kids comfortably in their backseats with groceries in the spacious trunk, and the next minute Im gapping C8 vettes... I would say its the greatest high performance daily driver every built. My decision was mainly based on performance metrics, and while some of those cars have a higher ceiling, many are only good on a prepped surface and in optimal conditions. For the platform you receive, and how easy it is to make them a 9 second car, all factors considered there wasnt much that really competes with it..
I was not at all impressed with either of the Blackwings OEM performance. I did however like the ZL1. Chevy did a great job with that platform, it hooks very well on the street for RWD and it handles extremely well... Dealers also did not have a markup on them, so for the $$ super high value. As they are easily tuned for 9 seconds too. I dont believe there are any CT4 hitting 9 seconds currently, even with Tap Out tuning packages hitting 700WHP with turbo upgrades. S58's can hit 720WHP & 700lbs with just downpipes, drop in air filters, and a custom E50 tune. No turbo upgrades required...
I sided with the G80CXD and I love it more every time my hands touch the steering wheel. Again, Im not some BMW fanboy, this is my first BMW, but the quality and performance of this car has certainly made me to be a supporter of their brand. I test drove both Blackwings and I loved the design of the cars, but when it came to performance they both left me wanting a little more..

I own a G80 M3 manual. I love it. But that CT4V is no slouch. To that point, it felt very much one of the fastest V6s I have ever driven. But a V versus an I versus an H all have different characteristics. Point is, the Caddy is great. Especially at the price point. Congrats on your G8X

@@PointShiftDriveI’m a bit torn between the CT4V BW vs the M3. I’ve had 20 something BMW’s and recently sold my F80 manual. I’m not a fan of the G80 nose and dashboard. I also like the Caddy for something different, but the G80 has a bigger back seat and I like the infotainment better. Would love the CT5V BW, but not sure I want to spend that much, plus the crappy MPG. What are the pros of your M3 vs this BW? I have to get a manual! So really these are my only 3 options for a RWD manual.

@@clubracer6 Well... you are facing the challenge many drive enthusiasts are also contemplating... Here are the facts:
the CT4VBW has smaller rear seats. It overall feels a bit cramped but cozy. Do you need a roomy rear seat? I dunno.
The press car I had wasnt a manual but I have heard the manual is good in the BW. but... id say the manual in the G80 is good too.
BTW, I totally get your thinking when you are trying hard to look outside BMW. I have had so many BMWs its almost mundane to me now. BUT, and its a big BUT.... The G80, regardless of how it looks, DRIVES great. AMAZING actually. And yes, I do mean the RWD stick. I love how it behaves. its predicable and fast. its composed and eager. The G80s inline 6 is... freaking amazing too. reliable, tunable, and actually pretty economical when you need it to be. I just dont have anything bad to say about the entire car. Sure, the looks are a bit subjective... but at this point I think most people are over the issues with the grills. Jason Camisa did a video on the G80 M3 relatively recently where he was very impressed by the M3s driving dynamics and characteristics... You just cant go wrong.
AND... yes, if you just want to do something new, the Caddy (either one) wont disappoint you. The CT5VBM has a large rear... and btw, I think will go up in value (being the last V8 Manual sedan GM makes... so maybe that matters to you.... maybe it doesnt. but its should be a factor. A g80 will just depreciate for another 10 years. then start to bounce back. Remember, BMW is going away with the manuals too. So to have a M3 in a manual AND RWD AND ICE configuration.... that will be desirable in the coming years.
I guess buy for what satisfies your needs today. What happens in the future, is anyones guess. BUT you will enjoy any of these 3 choices.

No there is NO S IN THE NAME. It's either CT4-V BLACKWING OR CT5-V BLACKWING. People calling it a CTS anything are mistaken...

Hi, kind of disappointing, Cadillac suppose to be quiet, like riding down the road on a sound proof sofa. The person thought of this, to have sports Lamborghini vibes, not a good idea. Thanks.

There are plenty of other Caddies that do what you are describing. The Blackwing series is about performance.

Cadillac has changed. They're now targeting BMW, Mercedes, and Audi performance models and are giving the Germans notice with the Blackwibg series.

For drag racing or 0-60, the auto is the better choice. No one can shift as fast as it can. Plus, thee are more steps between the gears, since it is a 10 speed auto vs a 6 speed manual.
