I got a CT4 BW last month in electric blue - 10 spd auto. I almost went with the manual but I need it to daily commute and I'm getting old. I got a JB4 tune that comes with 3 maps (stock, 50 hp & 100 hp). and switch between them on the fly with the phone app. The car is wicked quick and has two personalities as a comfortable daily then hit the V button it transforms into something much more aggressive. It feels like I got two cars for the price of one I love it. I almost bought an M3 instead but they are everywhere in my area and Blackwings are a rare sighting I wanted to stand out.

Great video Daniel! Driving the ATS v still brings a smile to my face; however the CT4 blk wing interior has a nicer finish than the ATS v. Both are great cars

Great video I traded my cts v sport for a CT4 V BW and I am very happy with this car. I really wanted the CT5 v BW but I feel like a Tapout tune and some performance parts and you can easily make alot more power so I am keeping her for a long time. Also I think they look alot a like and the electric blue is a beautiful car is person.
My ATSV was my favorite car I've had on track. I just traded it for a ct4 BW. The allure if the supercharged V8 in the 5 was tempting, but it just isn't in my price range. I'm glad the ct4 is the better track car, can't wait to get it on track!
@@JetFuelOnly Let's agree to disagree. You're saying the 4 is the better drivers car, fair, even if I disagree. I've driven both, the 4 felt like my modified KIA Stinger gt. The 5 is the better track car, objectively, if it's faster.
Here's the thing, you can tune this car to be anything you want it to be. Make it a granny cruiser for everyday driving and long road trips with the missus, then turn it into a track ready racecar that is competitive on any track, or anything you want between those two extremes. $76,000 out the door for two cars is a crazy good deal.

I love my manual CT4 BW, but I stumbled into an allocation for a Carrera T and coming from the 991.2 Carrera T I just can't turn it down and the BW has to go. I wish I could keep both just not enough room!
How does the 4 stand up cooling wise to track abuse in hot weather? Does it heat soak? I live in texas and want to do HPDE with one of these. Cross shoping an M2 competition which I know has had most of the cooling issues worked out
The purchase of a Blackwing includes a 2 day high performance driving school at Spring Mountain Motorsports in Las Vegas. If the cars can handle daily track use in Las Vegas you know your good.
The cooling system for the 4VBW is the same as the 5VBW and is completely overtuned for its application. Ive driven mine hard in 80 degree weather and temps stayed slightly below middle. Tapout tuning hasnt even had to upgrade the cooling system for its tuning packages.
Sir, how did you fit in the car with your helmet. I test drone one, with my helmet on and i had to out seat all the way down and lean it back. I am 5’9” and the car had a sun roof. I can fit easily with helmet in non sunroof, but those are so hard to come by. Throttle house didn’t answer but maybe you can.

Ct4vb is an ugly car? Come on now!!! I think is sexy as hell from all angles. But I guess we look with different eyes. For example I couldn’t buy a Porsche because to me it’s just looks like an oversized Beatle so I understand why looks would stop you from buying it.
All you need is a fuel pump and a tune and you’re making a little less than 650 rwhp. This will run you ~$5k Swap out the turbos and fuel cam and you are over 750 rwhp for another ~$4k
How does it compare to the ATS V? I just don't like the looks of the ct4 or ct5 nor do i like the revised cheaper interiors. I wanted a manual transmission ATS V but at 6'4 it was just too small. I had to angle my head into the sunroof hole. At the track with a helmet on i'd hit the glass.
I don’t feel the interiors are cheaper at all (except the stupid looking screen). I unfortunately don’t have any fun time in the ATS-V. But the ATS-V feels cheap inside
@@JetFuelOnly Your first video pointed out the Chevrolet center console in the ct5 blackwing compared to our center console with the climate controls and suede. I had a ct5 loaner when my ct6 was at dealer and had it parked next to my v sport and its shocking all the ways they made it cheaper. Even the seat belt buckles are cheaper. Seriously, check it out yourself. Glovebox, cupholders, center console, the screen, all cheaper. I should have made a video. There is a reason the new ct5 v is 20k less than our v sport was new and it's plain as day in the car.
Well as you may know there’s a big difference between how well appointed the different trim levels are. A no. Premium VSPORT doesn’t feel as nice as the premium.

Next loaner I get I'll make a video with it next to mine. I'll only mention items that are on the top trim too like the console. 20k difference is a lot and it shows. The problem is if i wanted a chevy I'd buy a chevy. I don't understand why they went down market. Well, I do. No one bought the expensive cts 3rd gen or ct6. Cadillac just can't command premium money unless its an escalade.

But, I don't love the looks of it, that notebook on the dash and the plan back, for those reasons I sticking with the ATS-V because it just looks BETTER INSIDE AND OUT, from the built-in dash to that Cadillac Back End. I've got the last year sedan and I LOVE IT ❤️
Agreed. I cannot fathom the looks. This is the female equivalent of "butter face" as is the CT4's styling in general. Maybe if the values dip under 50k in a couple of years I may be tempted to get one.

The closest relative to the ct4 v blackwing is the one it replaced the ats-v ! It shares the same alpha platform that the ats-v is legendary for !
You should try driving a ATS V and see how much it differs from the new CT4-BW.
The ats-v is more violent the 4bw is a little more refined.
Better in every way.

From my couple hot laps I saw temps go slightly above normal but nothing abnormal. Others have reported no issues.
