I was told by a friend whos knows about electronics that its dangerous to go 40mph on this bike, its risky for the battery overheating and exploding. The battery says 1612Wh when its should be MININIUM 2000Wh, 3000Wh would be real peace of mind. The battery number should always be double the motor. The motor is 1500W Brushless, so the battery should be 2000Wh minimum 3000Wh ideally.
@son2soaringeagle he rents crypto mining computers out as a side hustle and owns 4 electric unicycles. He said only one gave him a problem. He called the company and they assured him it was fine but what he learned is the battery was only a few hundred sizes bigger than the motor. When you go full speed, it requires nearly 100% of the batteries' effort, causing it to overheat and eventually explode. So even though it said it went 50mph when he went 50mph for too long, it became dangerous and overheated. I pray I'm wrong. I really like the design of this bike, and if you read the reply I left to the company, I plan on using it daily back and forth from work (9 miles each way) Queens to Brooklyn. I only plan on going 30mph, but I don't plan on using the pedals at all. I have it built without the battery attached, but tomorrow will be my first day. If it delivers as promised, I will be the companies biggest supporter. I really pray I'm wrong.
What's good J... Mine says it'll be here by Thursday. There was an issue with the barcode on the box and it was delayed. But it finally left Cali, yesterday.
Yes it actually is and the looks I get while riding and comments are awesome. Worth the buy and the value for an e-bike like this. And it looks cool as f***
Bought mine 2 days ago and it’s leaving California tomorrow so doesn’t seem to slow but ill update when i get mine but fedex picked it up pretty quick so thats nice
@@kristorres748 yes it’s to close to the tire. If it was plastic then I would have kept it on but it’s metal and at the speed that this bike goes…. Definitely not safe. I did end up putting one put on though. I got the idea from @jerseystyle7
I got mine about a month ago! Best ebike I've had! I love it! Got up to 42 mph a couple weeks ago, what are those lights? I got some cheap ones but didn't keep on, the charge lasted about 10 mins, very cool man!

@Mattafiedmotors thank you for the Amazon link, I'm sorry, just seeing your reply....it's a 40 amp controller, that's pretty huge for a 48v system, I'm honestly not sure if that 48v system would support much higher than the 40 amp, but definitely research it, that would be awesome
Hey man the rope lights, where did you mount the controller that is attached? I'm just going around the bottom outside tube the under tube and the bottom of the tube under the battery and straight down, should be able to hide the controller somewhere. Any suggestions would be great, thanks again
Some people don't know this is Detroit. As soon as I saw the train station and bridge, I knew exactly where you were over on Lafayette. 💪😎👍💯
Nice speed for 48 volts but those same cells could have been rearranged to make a 60 volt 25AH pack which would result in a much bigger grin 😊
I run 72v max amperage set at 35 it goes 46 mph

is that a right side mirror u put on the left side
how do u like the bike?? do u think it's worth the price with everything out there?? I think it's the coolest looking ebike on the market..
