I use Shinkos on my S73 RX. Couldn't recommend highly enough. Complete game changer after 3 flat tires. I have about 3k miles under my belt, and you are 💯 percent spot on with everything you recommended. Love your mods!

Everyone is entitled their own opinion, but yours seems to be the opposite of most everyone I know.
I've been using those Shinko 241 tires (and others from Shinko) on my dual sport motorcycles for many, many years. They are great and are highly recommended by "adventure riders" all over the world.

Thanks for posting your experiences. I think your experiences with cold weather gear will be very helpful... I can see how the heated gloves would be essential any distance riding in cold weather. I've purchased a set of 'bar mitts' that go over the handgrips and stay attached to the handlebars for trial during this winter...

I love my Arclight Pro pedals from Redshift. The lights make you very visible. They're pricey, but totally worth it. Great build quality & amazing customer service. I've had more people ask me about them than anything I've ever put on my bike. I also noticed you didn't have any silicone brake covers on your brake levers. That's been a real game changer for me, even though it's just a little thing. I get grip in wet weather so my fingers don't ever slip off the brake. I used to be able to feel the cold from the metal, even through my gloves, & I have electric gloves, too. The metal on the brake levers can get hot in the summer, also, & the silicone brake handle sleeves mitigates all that. Besides the gloves, I have pants that have 3 heat settings with one of the heat pads being in the seat. I also have an electric jacket with heat in the arms. Some of them only do the front & back & your arms can get cold in the wind on a bike. Oh, & electric socks. Hard to find a pair that you can't feel the wires. You have to pay for quality but my toes get cold quick if I don't. I also use neoprene socks & expedition weight long underwear if it's really cold. If it's not cold enough for the electric pants, I'll wear my snowboard pants, which keep me warm & dry & protect my work pants so I can just strip off the outer layer when I get to work. I'd recommend a chain guard so it doesn't eat your pants. I've had that happen a lot before I put a guard on. It can fit over a derailleur. I use the same 2600 lumen front headlight with a smaller 1600 lumen version in my bag as a back up if the big one dies on me, which it has many times. I also have the same rear light for under my seat, if that's the Onvian smart light with brake sensing, although I also use one that has laser lane lines & if I'm carrying stuff on the back or with a trailer, I have turn signals that I can clip on with a wireless controller that goes on my handlebars. I'm surprised you don't have any racks on it to carry stuff, since it's such a beefy rig. Have you ever towed anything with it? I have a Tavoy but I'm saving up for a Quietcat with suspension. I also want to try tire air pressure sensors. I got some for my sister for her truck last Christmas & now I want them on my bike. I use a mirror that I wear on my wrist that sticks out, & man, I was skeptical but I use it way more than rearview mirrors, which get stolen all the time anyway here in NY. I was always struggling to get the mirrors right & most of the time I'd just see my arm & the vibration would make it hard to see anything anyway. Wearing it on my wrist, it absorbs any vibration. I can adjust the angle just by shifting my wrist & they're just fish eye enough that I can see behind me. A real game changer. I thought I'd need two, one for each arm, but one works great. Can't recommend it enough.

Am i the only one who notices how people get so triggered just by seeing a bicycle on the road and if I’m 2 feet outside the white line off the road there’s no reason for vehicles to get in the complete opposite lane putting other drivers at risk maybe the area I live in is just weird idk I see horse and buggy’s regular bicycles ATVs on my road all the time maybe they just hate me specifically lol ohh then there’s the old people who refuse to pass me wile riding the dirt on the side of the road holding up traffic behind them maybe they just want a better look at the bike.

Yes I have experienced that on mine as well. Even though I'm doing about 30 or 31 miles an hour and I'm all the way over as close as I can to the curb, people will still swing into the other lane over the double yellow line because they seem to think for some reason that you're going to dart out in front of them or they just sell lacking in confidence in their own driving skills they want to give you 10 to 12 ft of clearance. Sometimes it's nice that they giving you a lot of extra space but when he puts other traffic at risk or they're afraid to pass me even though I'm waving them all and it does create a potentially dangerous situation

I drive for a living. Anything can happen, there could be a rock in the path or some reason not related to your biking skills why it's possible you could enter into the roadway.
It's just common sense to give you allot of space.

i got an h8 awd philodo 2000w. came with a headlight that looks good and is good, and a bright ass taillight that works when hitting the brakes. i got a suspension post for my seat and it makes all the difference. also got 2 motorcycle style mirrors for my bike as well and a bag for the rack on the back. ive had the bike a few days, the light has already helped prevent people from running into me. i live in the middle of nowhere and have lots of places to ride, so i think ill get a small trailer to tow behind so that i can go camping. might get an extra battery just in case for camping. but other than that, i cant believe how much fun and interesting these are, im a car guy and a skateboarder. never really liked bikes yet here i am geekin out on an e bike xD

Great content, appreciate you sharing your experience with us all. Here's the skinny...I ordered the Eahora Romeo Pro yesterday and im psyched to be going back to the ebike community. My question is about your tire size. What size tire came stock on your bike and how can I figure out the conversion from a bike tire to a motorcycle tire? My bike comes with a 26x4 and my first upgrade will be to switch to motorcycle rubber.

I agree, comfort and range is important. I learned that on my first ebike, which I put 1k miles on. First it was big seat, then it was suspension seapost. When I realized that was about as good as it was gonna get, I discovered the p-51 but after thinking about how much of a legal grey area, I just got my motorcycle license and bought a Vespa 150. currently averaging 81 mpg since I bought it, at over 6k feet in elevation. Huge cushy seat, great suspension (you can really beat on this thing and it just doesn't care), antii-dive front end, abs brakes, and adjustable rear suspension.costs me 5 bucks to refuel. I get almost 200 miles of range on that.

Another problem with not having suspension is hitting bumps at speed. Mine is front suspension with a hard tail, and if I didn't have a Suntour suspension post, I'd probably be very sore. Is that motor a Bafang G062? Just curious because I run a G062 on a RadMini at 3,200 watts, and it pulls very hard, but I'm cautious about going higher on the power. Amen on the heated gloves, and I supplement that with a heated vest and socks!

Do you realize, that if you keep riding an ebike in regular traffic, and it performs similar to a motorcycle that you will 'one day' cause law makers to pass laws for you to get all the safety features 'lights, mirrors etc.' of a motorcycle, along with insurance, registration and license, in the distant future. All it takes is one fatality to get their attention. You should be riding in the bike lanes or on bike trails.

Except the United States has some of the worst bike infrastructure. They just slap a sign with a bike logo that says cars and bikes should share the road. So you end up having to deal with cars and it is very dangerous when car drivers do not respect you space at all and i cannot tell you how many times I've almost been ran over by drivers blitzing past me with so little space between me and them. With the way the infrastructure is designed, been able to keep up speed wise is soo much safer
