    Hi, ive recently come into posession of a clansman 349, did you change the frequency range using this kit?

      I just used the casing to build my kit into it

      @@DuanesMind Ah I was looking for a way to adapt the radio to the nearest amateur frequency band.

      @@gordonstewardson7683 Even to get it onto the 6m band would be a big task. Not only that they don't really have much TX power as well.

      @@DuanesMind not worried about the Tx range really. A friend of mine is a former radio engineer and he's looking into it, might even be able to boost it to 2watt as RACAL used to offer to supply the 349 with 2 watt and any 10 mhz band. Would probably muller the battery life though.

    Hello. What is involved in the switching of the Roger beeps using the buttons?

    • @DuanesMind
      @DuanesMind  3 года назад +1

      It's a modular circuit board that's wired up to the PTT circuit. The Roger Beep module consists of 13 tones which can be selected by going up and down. It can also be turned off completely.

      @@DuanesMind thank you for the reply. Is it a board designed by you or is it a board that's readily available?
