I have cancelled my Nano Plus order despite being initially very impressed with it. Nothing at all against Autel but the poor reviews of speed and wind handling eventually got to me. I know the firmware updates may have addressed the issues but I am happy to hold out for MM3.

I'm in a similar situation as yourself. I cancelled my pre order of the nano+ and currently waiting for mini 3 details to emerge, however the main point of attraction towards the nano+ was the ⅛" sensor and the RYYB filteration, not so much the OA. I live in the UK, so having to capture images in low/dull light is a regular occurrence! The sub 250g MTOM is pretty important here too..
Yeah totally agree the sensor to me is more important that OA
Obstacle avoidance would be nice but the camera/lens/video/picture quality would do it for me. You make a good point in that DJI now know where the bar is, both in terms of specs and price so I'll hang on for the Mini 3 and re-evaluate my choices then. I do like my Mini 2 though and brand loyalty has to come into it somewhere.

Autel just released a firmware update which addresses the speed & jello issues for the Nano.
DJI will need to pull something out of the bag to match the dynamic range & low light capability of the Nano+ RYYB 0.8" sensor. It's pretty impressive.
I have the Mini 2 but the Nano+ is on a totally different level with its camera capability.
DJI brand fans will buy the Mini 3 regardless

Hey Mike i pause your vid before you say witch one cause hands down is to wait for the Mini 3 its the easiest question you ever ask ,you could buy 2 Mini 2 for the price of the Autel Nano thats a deal breaker not mention all the problems they had with the drone and customer service.

I have actually change my mind Mike about the RC controller with the mini three it is worth extra money especially in sunlight when your phone gets too hot and the screen dims The RC does not I’m not sure if it’s got an internal fan I’ve never heard it but it doesn’t dim. Hope everything is going alright mate

I have the nano plus and love it. Like every other company that has released a new product it needs time and feed back for updates. I'll probably get the mini 3 when it comes out. But I'm more than happy with the autel nano plus

very happy with my nano+ I paid only $900 complete kit with 3 batteries and with the recent update the problem of speed and wind was solved and honestly nano+ has a better camera than mini 3 I don't regret it very happy with my nano+

Per the latest update for the Evo Nano Plus, it has corrected all of the major issues (speed, wind, etc). It's miles ahead of the Mini 2.

Cancelled my order for the Nano Plus, as I've seen too many mediocre reviews and we (in the UK) are STILL waiting for them!
Think I'll wait for the Mini 3 - at least we'll know what we're getting.

i cancelled my autel nano plus early feb 2022 as I was told the drone shipped on aliexpress on jan 16 but it did not. So I got tired of waiting and just raised a dispute to get a refund....which I got 5 days later. I have been talking and chatting with them for more than 2 months before this and still nothing got shipped or moved. I didn't like how they were misleading me as to the shipping so I cancelled it. Now they raised the price by 150$ US so I am glad I did this. I really wanted to get the autel but I had been waiting since Dec 2021 when I had put in my order. Maybe I will give autel another try in the future but who knows.

The biggest decider for me is the Geo-Fencing from DJI. 90% of my commercial work is in controlled airspace around Chicago and my EVO II Pro allows me to get LAANC authorization in seconds, get the drone in the air in 15 secods with full satellite lock - take my footage in a few minutes - and landed and driving away in less than 5 or 6 minutes. The 6K images have always been amazing along with the video. I find myself rarely using my 2 P4P's anymore or my Air 2S because of the NFZ's and the sketchy time-consuming unlocking process. I picked up the Mavic 3 (non Cine) and thought I'd enjoy shooting with it out on Lake Michigan and in MI and WI away from controlled airspace, and it is a very nice drone with some great features. The problem is the time it takes to get adequate satellite lock. On average I'm sitting on the ground for close to 4 minutes to get just 10-12 satellites and a few times almost 6.5 minutes. Despite what others are saying my DJI rep said it is indeed a result of hardware choices they made and won't be fixed via firmware. He said any firmware fix would be allowing the drone to set the homepoint with less satellites which isn't ideal. He said there will be M3 drones shipping Q4 2022 with an enhanced non-GNSS GPS satellite system. To be honest this problem that many of are having with sat-lock is taking the fun out of using it right now. I also had connection issues like crazy, but one the recent firmware releases seems to have fixed that issue. I have no doubt that DJI will continue to keep enhancing the Mavic 3 and honestly it is an amazing drone in so many ways. I honestly love both companies and sometimes... hate both companies. I hate being a beta-tester for either but I keep subjecting myself to the process... I look forward to the Nano + once all the bugs are fixed and also look forward to the EVO III Pro if there is one. I will wait to see what DJI does with the satellite-lock situation in the meantime. I also have no doubt that the Mini3 will be one of DJI BEST selling drones ever and will eat the Nano + for breakfast when it comes to price!

I’m with you regarding DJI’s Geofencing. It’s my understanding (as a rank amateur) that Autel doesn’t force this on the user. I guess I’m a Libertarian in that regard. :) I have a Mini 2 and enjoy it, but I don’t appreciate the drone being “smarter” than I am.
@@jetjock871 Yeah, it's not just the time to unlock the drone in NFZ's, the bigger problem is that there are many times that I had FAA LAANC authorization in seconds, finally got the DJI unlocking permission, but the drone failed to unlock - AT ALL. I'm talking about dozens of professional shoots that were set up in advance with clients for optimal weather and sometimes with paid visual observers as well. Some of these paid jobs I even lost while others I had to reschedule. I would say the unlocking issues I went through in and around Chicago cost me over $11,000 over the past 5 years. I do a lot of weather planning to coordinate these shoots and it just isn't worth it to take the chance on commercial work. I still use the P4P for rural mapping work but everything else with my Autel EVO II Pro. I've seen some footage from the Autel Lite+ where I like the color-science better than than the EVO II Pro or the Mavic 3. This gives me hope that Autel will be coming out with an EVO III Pro in the next 18 months with a more advanced larger low light sensor and even more professional features designed to work with more industry apps. 😉👍
It will definitely be interesting to see what DJI does with the Mini 3. As some have already discussed, the Geofencing is a major issue, depending on where you live and how you use your drone, and I don’t see DJI relaxing their grip. It may be than Autel has artificially kept their price high to see what DJI comes up with, with the idea of lowering that price when the Mini 3 is released. Now that the new firmware has been released for the Nano, which should address some of the complaints, I’m leaning toward the Nano+; it’s available now, and there’s no guarantee the Mini 3 will be revealed as anticipated. Bird in the hand concept.

I had all my coins saved up for the Nano ,but so many problems from the git go and for now can't get out of it's own way ,I live in the mountains wind is always present .I will Wait for the Mini 3 .I took the Air 2s up yesterday in high winds with no problem .DJI rocks

I won’t be buying a mini three I already have a mini two and Air 2S now. But if I don’t get my refund from the nano that’s gonna put me in a bad financial position now. But loved both of my DJI drones the only other drone I would probably consider when I get better from my back injury would be the skydio when it becomes a consumer drone apparently at the moment it’s enterprise only. So I don’t know how these people are been getting their ones they have reviewed on RUclips.

Mini three pro got posted today hopefully have it tomorrow or Thursday latest by Friday. One battery there gonna be very frustrating for the next few weeks until the plus battery is available. I posted a couple of videos of Mount panorama but they’re pretty crappy if you’re interested check it out. I had a five minute window with the Air 2s but didn’t set the altitude high enough impact to compensate for the mountain and you’ll see what happens. Hope you are out of quarantine and have begun living again. I have another MRI due next week hopefully that will show no infection and I will be having the first of two operations to hopefully fix me and get me walking again. 👍

I won't be buying a autel simply because they prereleased the nano and it was a joke. As for the mini 3.. I'm not sure about that either. What I want in a mini is a really good camera and better wind resistance. I've no need for OA and find it just gets in the way or doesn't work properly in the first place.

I looked at the nano but got nothing but bad feedback on a Facebook group, so I decided against it, can’t fly in the uk due to bad weather so I’ll be waiting for the mini 3

I just saw a site that "sold" the Plus full package for $1500.00, and out of stock. Yet the Autel site itself is selling it a lot less and has it in stock. LOL

Right O The mini 3 is spectacular but I’m not sure yet whether buying the RC with it is really worth it it’s a bit gimmicky to me you have to hotspot your phone which is really annoying to get maps no dongle Support yet it doesn’t fly any other drone yet and there’s a couple other points but your mini 2 RC will bind and fly the mini 3 pro if you want to do it cheaply. Just thought I’d give you my opinion

@@GetBusyLiving Unfortunately mate I have not flying a drone in over two months I don’t really care for much at the moment I lost my mother two days ago and she had a 30 day stint in hospital that I was there for most of that time with her so it fucking sucks I lost my best friend I lost my rock I lost my whole world but life has to go on and I don’t know how just have to go through the motions of life now without her and wait for the day this vessel of mine is finished so I can see her again.

I have the Nano and I’m happy with. Autel has assured me that the recent firmware update has corrected all issues. If the Mini 3 turns out to be better than the Nano, maybe I sell it to get the mini 3. If DJI has different colors I might switch. Thanks 👍

I am currently on the fence I love my mini two started with a mini one took advantage of the upgrade program and got a decent discount on the mini two because I felt like I didn't need both I really wanna go for the nano plus because of the obstacle avoidance and a better camera but then again if and when the mini three comes out they will most likely offer an upgrade program again and I'm thinking that's probably the best choice for me although every day I look on that site and I'm two seconds away from clicking buy

@@GetBusyLiving Really, nobody complained about horizon tilt, image stutter and a really slow sat lock? Maybe we don't follow the same forums. Now 5 months later 2 out of 3 is fixed, but the sat lock is still super slow.

I haven’t watched your video yet I’m just about to DO NOT BUY THE NANO. It does not Active track yet does not land properly yet does not get home if you’re in strong wind yet shall I go on. Still waiting for my refund Australia Post apparently has delivered it to the wrong address for the return so I’m looking at a $1400 loss so far I just hope eBay comes to the party and refund my money because it looks like the seller isn’t going to do that even though I did exactly what the seller told me to do even sent him photos of the box with the address on and we both agreed that that is the address they wanted me to send it to. Australia Post has now gone and delivered it somewhere else and I don’t know where I stand. So apart from my back problems and everything else it’s just another thing. I think I must’ve run over a Chinaman. Lol
Um I wouldn't trust ebay to come to the rescue, I traded with them for nearly 10yrs it was not a happy marriage, Hope you get something back.
@@tonyrobinson362 Unfortunately I paid through Afterpay and not PayPal as I’m not sure PayPal is any better either because I’ve been trying to get the $111 care plan that I bought off Autel and I’m not getting any joy there either Autel isn’t answering any of my emails. This whole experience has Left me with a foul taste in my mouth. So if things don’t work out I am going to be $1500 out of pocket for a drone that I have an even got any more because I sent it back and was delivered to the wrong place after triple checking the address with the seller with the post office it’s just bullshit.
Hey I've been there I once sent 3 very rare lego sets to Denmark! Buyer then said on opening sealed never built never opened factory sealed boxes 4! Bricks were discoloured the boxes were factory sealed, He asked ebay to refund him £480 which they did, I never got the legos back 480 down drain plus £62 postage, People think ebay and PayPal are on the level I dont think so cancelled my account never to deal with the crooks again, You can find multiple horror stories about good old ebay, Hope you really do have better luck.
@@tonyrobinson362 Well if this isn’t resolved I won’t be using PayPal or eBay ever again that is two weeks wages for me down the drain I can’t afford that this is gonna put me behind for about six months if it’s not resolved. They tell you your money is 100% safe when you use PayPal and eBay I haven’t seen it yet. I was told last week it would take 11 days on the 12th they are rang and they said it was gonna take another nine days for them to rule in my favour for some reason I just keep getting the runaround. To me Australia Post are the ones who fucked up and they should be the ones who refund me the money it wasn’t the sellers fault and it wasn’t my fault but I don’t see Australia Post coming to the party either. I told Australia Post how much it was worth and they didn’t even offer me any extra insurance. Send registered mail but in these Covid times they don’t even ask for a signature any more.
