As an aside, do you know of any way in which hit marker volume can still be adjusted in this game? It seems they have removed the option.
I though 1312 m/s couldn’t possibly be realistic, but turns out factory-made light bullet/ heavy powder loads of .408 CheyTac go ~1200 m/s, so it’s still unbelievably hot for a bullet but not ENTIRELY impossible.

I am surprised it isn't the best, it seems pretty good and it seemed like their strategy was "Add classic MW2 gun and make it OP so everyone wants to come back and use it"
The SP-X is king with this FJX, MCPR, & Victus all close behind. Not sure which of those is 2nd, 3rd, or #4. Just depends on what feels best that day, the time of day, or which way the wind is blowing. I'd also say the LA-B is 5th and Signal 50 is the worst. Just my opinion. But like I've said in other Sniper Gun Guides, they're all viable. MWII easily takes the cake for best class of COD snipers. Even if they add a Dragunov at some point, this COD easily has the best group of snipers.
I'll give my ranking: #1: SPX (fastest, great one shot kill potential) #2: MCPR (second fastest with quick rpm and 10 rounds by default, rarely gets hitmarkers) #3: Victus (fun as hell to use, quick ads, satisfying to get kills with, but slow rechamber) #4: Signal 50 (Semi-auto beats out the LA-B but the bullet velocity is pretty mid, feels faster than the LA-B, GODLY with a red dot) #5: LA-B (Feels SO slow, hitmarker machine, slow rechamber, slow mobility - there is zero reason to use this sniper other than the camo grind)
@@HoltsTricks Where's the FJX? I like bolt action snipers and will always rate them over the semi auto ones. I enjoyed all the other snipers but didn't the signal 50.
@@MooreGravy Oh I completely forgot, hard to say but I'd put it under the MCPR. I'm not sold on the gun yet - it's fast for sure but my god the flinch on it is just absurd, a single bullet sends your aim about 3 feet upwards. If you're getting shot at, below the victus. If not, above it.
just use the normal scope with snipers, using an attachment slot on an optic for a sniper is a no go bruh. use speed attachments unless all u do is hardscope
@armedpoop u can get faster or just as fast ADS speeds with the regular optics if u know how to use the gunsmith. plus, with the FJX (which this video is talking about), there are no optics that increase ADS speed.
@armedpoop i think ur right, i was looking at the pros and cons list for the low zoom optics on my game, and for some reason, they all have ADS speed under cons. looking at the stat bar for handling, tells me that u are right. my main point was that u can achieve similar speeds without using a different optic
This gun was a pain in the ass to level up, it’s ads was so slow lol you can’t compete, but once you get all other ads plus tuning, then, this guns a beast. It felt so good to used but the gun needs a bit of a movement buff tho
Hey @TheXclusiveAce , you use a flat number for ADS increase, like 44ms for the grip. Do you have any resources that detail ADS speed buffs after tuning?
I got 1 hit marker in like 20+ games so I can say it's pretty good. And I couldn't pin point exactly where I hit the guy as a lot of my kills are Quick scope slight drag shots because I like to scope shoot from cover and then reposition so they only see me for a moment.
I really want to know what kind of bullet velocity penalty comes with the explosive rounds. I've heard its crazy significant. Wondering if it makes using it for one shot potential in WZ worth it. I've tried using it and it feels like I'm lobbing bowling balls but Id really love to know the exact metrics.. Thanks!
@@unclelou8636 woah. Thanks for the info!! That’s a serious penalty when compared to the high velocity. Almost makes one consider if it’s even worth it for the one shot potential.
Jgod put out a video showing examples of bullet drop between the 3 snipers you should be using it on. It is rather recent as of this comment, go look there.
I’m convinced that no one at Activision has ever seen a gun in real life, nor consulted anyone who has. 408 CT should have pretty much the same damage profile as the 50 BMG with significantly less bullet drop and higher velocity. Also it’s insane that these aren’t one shot kills to any part of the body
.408 is actually only better than .50 bmg energy wise past 800 yards. Within 800 yards the .50 has more potential energy. Also, .50 bmg has a faster muzzle velocity than .408, but worse aerodynamics.
it sounds like ur thinking the game is going for realism when, in fact, Call of duty is an ARCADE shooter! meaning its not supposed to have realistic damage nor is it supposed to have accurate velocity/bullet drop compared to other guns. u sounds dumb!
@@spudmaster1793 I know, I’m trying to make it make sense for a video game. Velocity can be adjusted with damage range drop offs but generally the benefit to 408 is that it’s flatter shooting, and I would say “faster” because you can’t even take an 800m shot in MW2. As it stands there’s no real benefit of using the Imperium over the victus or the SPX80 (with the exception of explosive rds) the 408 is a highly specialized cartridge and it’s used in game as a re-skin for the victus which is a shame
Is there an error in the diagram for the barrel ranges at 4:45 ? I used the FJX in the firing range and I am still getting one shot kills to the hand but your diagram says it won't one shot kill in the first damage range
I expect this to get a nerf like most dlc weapons they start it off overpowered to bring people back and boost numbers then they change the gun after .
You can't trust the in-game stat bars. They're often inaccurate and misleading. The values I share in this series are the actual coded or hand tested values (coded values in this case via Sym.gg)
How is the ADS speed obtained with sniper optics? Is it the time from the moment you press the ADS button to the moment: a) The scope is fully zoomed in? b) (The proximate moment) When the crosshair of the sight starts telling you where the bullet is going to land (at max accuracy) but before the scope is fully zoomed in? I feel like the FJX scope brings the crosshair into the screen faster than similar scopes, and then makes a mega zoom in, instead of doing both things at, mostly, the same time. Like the devs were trying to bring back the classic quick scope where you are not even zoomed in before shooting, for the FJX (although most of the time you get an inaccurate shot and is more useful at close ranges). Either that, or simply there are more people now trying to do the classic quickscope due to how slow the FJX actually is xd But still, I'm asking seriously the first part, I'm really curious. Edit: Btw, sym.gg stats are not the same, were they updated before the video came live?
I’m basing this off memory but one of his older videos he says he calculates sniper ads as soon as he starts to aim, until it allows him to hold breath
What about the flinch resistance? Both handle and rear grip seems to improve it significantly. Can you check it, please. It’s extremely important stat for sniper rifle, though
Could you also include suppressors for the sniper videos? Some increase damage range while hurting ADS. I would like to know if its worth the tradoff. Thank You!
Anybody else curious how much changing your sight affects ads? I find it VERY noticeable on the snipers that using a lower power scope seems to really improve the ads, am I crazy?
does the accu shot give the same ADS boost as the OLEV? since it's an agressive quickscoping build, the laser isn't seen anyway, so I would still pick whichever is better
He doesn't tune too much but you can test it but idk the estimates, considering that, even without tuning the intervention is still slower than SPX I wouldn’t say it’s gonna be that much better anyway, if you can tune both of them, you’re just making the SPX better, and the intervention slightly less worse
The SPX is the better sniper for multiplayer and the MCPR is better for Warzone. The MCPR can also be kitted for a ridiculous ADS as well if you run the right attachment combos
In regards of the long range build for warzone, you want to have explosive ammunition instead of the high velocity because those rounds actually make the bolt actions be able to one shot players via headshots instead of only breaking plates.
Will be a bit better if you don't gotta spend what seems like an eternity trying to just start getting some ads attachments as well as ranged build ones.
How many people are still using CEROS 29 instead of Fahrenheit 29 just for the classic Intervention look? 15ms more ads time for sentimental old good cod is a great deal for me
Call me shite but I use snipers with a hybrid or ACOG/dot combo Being zoomed I with the high power scopes is just too much. Only the new larger maps or ground wars/invasion dmz/warzone really need the high power zoom. The rest of the 6v6 maps a 5x scope is plenty and the dot for close situations if you can ads fast enough.
I wish Infinity Ward focused on a more arcade style gameplay experience combined with an immersive and detailed presentation and theme without bunny suits. Still think MWII isn't a bad game it just hurts how punishing it is to agressive playstyles. Also still think the launch maps are the best maps in the game and are mostly pretty decent / good and wish we could have gotten more of those throughout the first Seasons. Black Gold is just a waste of resources since night vision mode was never popular to begin with. Another example of Infinity Ward not being able to read the room.
Its quite the force in multiplayer as for DMZ its a bit of a disappointment tho. Its the only sniper i tend to get hitmarks even on the unarmored bots on longer ranges with. In addition to that it also struggles massively in terms of finishing downed players on ranges past 150m takin up to 3 hits to end them (with the max damage range build) makin the 7 round mag an absolute must have for pvp

#2: MCPR (second fastest with quick rpm and 10 rounds by default, rarely gets hitmarkers)
#3: Victus (fun as hell to use, quick ads, satisfying to get kills with, but slow rechamber)
#4: Signal 50 (Semi-auto beats out the LA-B but the bullet velocity is pretty mid, feels faster than the LA-B, GODLY with a red dot)
#5: LA-B (Feels SO slow, hitmarker machine, slow rechamber, slow mobility - there is zero reason to use this sniper other than the camo grind)
Do you still tune the ammo for range?
Can u test which optics effect ads time especially for snipers?
just use the normal scope with snipers, using an attachment slot on an optic for a sniper is a no go bruh. use speed attachments unless all u do is hardscope
@@BeansNQueso Low zoom optics on snipers ARE speed attachments.
They massacred my boy
@thexclusiveace when stacking ads attachments on this gun. The barrel actually harms your ads rather then improving it.
This gun was a pain in the ass to level up, it’s ads was so slow lol you can’t compete, but once you get all other ads plus tuning, then, this guns a beast. It felt so good to used but the gun needs a bit of a movement buff tho
I N T E R V E N T I O N
Ace where is your video about Xdefiant ??? We are waiting soo bad for your feed back there
Hey @TheXclusiveAce , you use a flat number for ADS increase, like 44ms for the grip. Do you have any resources that detail ADS speed buffs after tuning?
Whats the ads speed changes done by the lasers?
I got 1 hit marker in like 20+ games so I can say it's pretty good. And I couldn't pin point exactly where I hit the guy as a lot of my kills are Quick scope slight drag shots because I like to scope shoot from cover and then reposition so they only see me for a moment.
The issue is that the SPX is objectively better in every single way. Literally 0 reason to use any other sniper (atleast in MP)
Thanks!
basically, with even the heaviest builds by adding the explosive rounds, your max bullet velocity is only around 700 something
@@loadedexcrement thanks!
Quick question Ace. Since the default zoom levels are different with each sniper, does the amount of glint differs also?
Are you using tuning when your doing these weapons?
You can't trust the firing range dummies to be perfectly accurate. My testing is done against actual characters in game
I expect this to get a nerf like most dlc weapons they start it off overpowered to bring people back and boost numbers then they change the gun after .
Why? SPX is already a better gun and hasn't been nerfed
@@ScorpionXXXVII there's more to a sniper than ads speed
@@stephencoppedge8001 The SPX is both faster and has a larger 1 shot area.
@@stephencoppedge8001 They are going to nerf the shot sound effect. It's the only thing that the Intervention has better than the SPX.
Did you even watch the video?
Does tuning an originally negative impact to ads attachment to max ads give an overall decrease in ads speed?
but in the in-game stat it says Fahrenheit and lr retort have the same +% range stat, and ceros 29 give better +% range stat
You can't trust the in-game stat bars. They're often inaccurate and misleading. The values I share in this series are the actual coded or hand tested values (coded values in this case via Sym.gg)
How is the ADS speed obtained with sniper optics? Is it the time from the moment you press the ADS button to the moment:
a) The scope is fully zoomed in?
b) (The proximate moment) When the crosshair of the sight starts telling you where the bullet is going to land (at max accuracy) but before the scope is fully zoomed in?
I feel like the FJX scope brings the crosshair into the screen faster than similar scopes, and then makes a mega zoom in, instead of doing both things at, mostly, the same time.
Like the devs were trying to bring back the classic quick scope where you are not even zoomed in before shooting, for the FJX (although most of the time you get an inaccurate shot and is more useful at close ranges). Either that, or simply there are more people now trying to do the classic quickscope due to how slow the FJX actually is xd
But still, I'm asking seriously the first part, I'm really curious.
Edit: Btw, sym.gg stats are not the same, were they updated before the video came live?
I’m basing this off memory but one of his older videos he says he calculates sniper ads as soon as he starts to aim, until it allows him to hold breath
with the default scope, how do you calculate bullet drop on it?
I completely agree the SPX is just slightly better in every way
What about the flinch resistance? Both handle and rear grip seems to improve it significantly. Can you check it, please. It’s extremely important stat for sniper rifle, though
just use the focus perk lol
🔥🔥🔥
Could you also include suppressors for the sniper videos? Some increase damage range while hurting ADS. I would like to know if its worth the tradoff.
Thank You!
Allways go with the nilsound it has the same stats as the heavy suppressor on every gun but doesnt have as much negatives gives 0.32x range so 32%
I haven't used it yet, I've been grinding gunfight for trophies lol
Anybody else curious how much changing your sight affects ads? I find it VERY noticeable on the snipers that using a lower power scope seems to really improve the ads, am I crazy?
does the accu shot give the same ADS boost as the OLEV? since it's an agressive quickscoping build, the laser isn't seen anyway, so I would still pick whichever is better
Yep, same ads speed boost
@@TheXclusiveAce I thought he meant the invisible one XD
Have you done testing between this and the SPX with all ads attachments tuned for ads to see what the speed difference is
He doesn't tune too much but you can test it but idk the estimates, considering that, even without tuning the intervention is still slower than SPX I wouldn’t say it’s gonna be that much better anyway, if you can tune both of them, you’re just making the SPX better, and the intervention slightly less worse
Hey Ace, what about DMZ/long range build with silencer?
Do stock scopes hav glint?
was waiting for this, surprised you didnt atleast quickly mention one shot build for warzone
basically, Jgod made a video on this, and the max bullet velocity he was able to make with this was sitting around 700 something bullet velocity
Ace doesn't play Warzone, so it would be disingenuous for him and suboptimal for fans of Warzone to create classes specifically built for that game.
Are you gonna be doing any XDefiant gun guides when that drops?
what skin is he using on his guns? They seem kinda different than the regular solid color ones.
It's not a true Intervention until you equip a bipod.
Any tuned stock is not better than the handle ads / sprintout?
The SPX is the better sniper for multiplayer and the MCPR is better for Warzone. The MCPR can also be kitted for a ridiculous ADS as well if you run the right attachment combos
It's fine/good that this isn't the best sniper in the game, but I wish it made a similarly weird sound like it did in OG MW2
I still love this weapon no scope everytime.
And Victus too is very well.❤
Not like on sp -x80
Victus feels to me like the HDR did in Verdansk, my go to all the time. Even if later when I moved to Rebirth I kept going back to the K-Swiss
I think for a nostalgia shot it's neat but yeah statistically and performance wise it's not going to be like meta shifting
Hey ace all the optics say they slow the ads times on the imperium. Is that a visual bug or true?
All Optics slow down ADS on all guns
@@GamerBroMX not on snipers bud
i would love to see how big a flinch that grip adds to the gun....
15ms more ads time for sentimental old good cod is a great deal for me
Call me shite but I use snipers with a hybrid or ACOG/dot combo
Being zoomed I with the high power scopes is just too much.
Another example of Infinity Ward not being able to read the room.
no reason to put barrel on this if suppressor gives more BV and takes less ADS time, bad suggestion for loadout
Just noticed tuning doesn’t save with your custom blueprint you save to the armory, when it used to before 🙂 these devs are something else
This paired with the bug that removes attachments from some of your classes is a NIGHTMARE
Its quite the force in multiplayer as for DMZ its a bit of a disappointment tho.
Its the only sniper i tend to get hitmarks even on the unarmored bots on longer ranges with. In addition to that it also struggles massively in terms of finishing downed players on ranges past 150m takin up to 3 hits to end them (with the max damage range build) makin the 7 round mag an absolute must have for pvp
the flinch resistance- trade off is too hard for this gun.
Its gud until you get shot at.
Its got more stability than the SPX, but its slower ads'ing corners n stuff...
