*This feels like old school gaming where the last thing you unlock is the strongest in the game.*
Its funny out of all the snipers in this platform tree. I maxed out this gun first

@@TVMAN1997 this is basically the only gun I use in DMZ, equipped with a suppressor mind you. It’s a tool of destruction when it comes to clearing out AI, plus with the suppressor you can do it undetected

Yeah it's pretty cool. Does anyone else think the Victus XMR rechamber sound is too "scrapey" and annoying? It's almost cool, but it kinda grinds on me

I should point out that prior to the Season 1 update, the SPX showed up as the Intervention in the killfeed
I thought i was tripping 😭😭
I wonder if that is hinting at the future or is it just a case of laziness.
I think it may be a hint for a future update adding the Interevention, because the killfeed icon for it looked custom made for this game. But in that case, Im not sure what its point is gonna be, as we already have both long range and quickscope snipers.
@@AvarageYakuzaEnjoyer maybe it was supposed to be the intervention, but they changed it for the platform sistem, because the intervention and it's round were too exotic to fit in any platform
@apachehelicopter7532 It was a placeholder. It reused the Widowmaker icon from Infinite Warfare (which was base different of the Intervention).

The SPX-80 is the Remington M2010 ESR (Not to be confused with the similar looking Remington MSR)
You mp players cherish this man. I miss these detailed, straight to the point videos of his for WZ2
These gun guides still apply to wz2. He still goes over the important stuff like recoil, damage ranges, mobility etc

The MCPR & Victus are close but the SPX is my favorite simply because of that movement speed. It's my favorite gun in the game actually. Nice to have 3 good sniper choices though. And 5 usable snipers. They're all actually good. Crazy.
All 3 of them have their time and place.
From experience, SPX is great for Resurgence, MCPR for Warzone and Victus is king for DMZ.
We're kinda spoiled for choice when it comes to bolt-action snipers for sure.
@@misot90 I only play 6v6, which is probably most like Resurgence. Which, the LA-B might be right behind the SPX for 6v6 after seeing these sniper gun guides. Still prefer the MCPR & Victus over it though.
But yeah, considering in 2019 the HDR & AX-50 weren't great for 6v6 yet all 5 are usable this year (although I'm not a fan of the Signal 50). It's very nice what IW did this COD with the snipers.
I love this rifle because it reminds me of the old days of CoD. Original MW2 and 3 kind of era. Not AS fast. But I think it has its place. Makes me think of the DSR from BO2 while the SPR marksman rifles remind me of the Ballista.
Been waiting for this video since the beta. Thank you for being so consistent. Your video format is still vitally important to the community. Keep up the great work.
I could be wrong but I think the flinch on this sniper is higher than others which is massively important. Which is why I prefer the LA-B. The flinch resistance attachment on that gun give it almost zero flinch and no need to have focus
Pretty interesting how the added the MW3 MSR in MWII instead of the Intervention.
It's still amazing to play with the MSR again in Dome after 12 years
interestingly enough, before Season 1 update the SPX killfeed icon was the Intervention

My favorite gun in the game, hands down. It was the first thing I set my sights on unlocking.
it was “the first” weapon i unlocked and instantly golded. i love it. i try not to sprint or run around with it just to keep the ttk as fast as possible. i love default scope of this weapon family. it was weird but also really cool that in the kill feed this sniper was registered as the intervention. lastly, i haven’t even thought about the spr or sab much after i golded this. this gun is my bread and butter
By far! Brings me back to the days of quickscoping.
I find in ground war this rifle cannot make the long shots that the MCPR does. 300 meters plus there is a lot of bullet drop compared to the MCPR. I can’t snipe long distances with this gun but it’s great for 6v6 maps.
I really like using this gun, it's fun and rewarding also looks really nice
This has been my DMZ go to since i unlocked it. I love it
9 out of 10, The SP-X is my favorite sniper in the game cuz it excels in every stat from rate of fire to ADS time. In my opinion, it is a must have for anyone who either likes quickscoping or sniping afar.
Disagree for ranged , anyone who prefers shooting farther than 60 meters should take LA -B if they don't mind reduced stats in other categories like closer range compared to SP-X, OR if theyre a true extreme range sniper like me who seeks that out (I'm heavily into ground war), the Victus will perform better at the 80 9 100 110 120+ meter range fights, and that's where i prefer to be. For the rest though, yeah SP X is ...a stupid powerful quickscoping beast that only is beaten by it's quickscoping cousin the LA B, at the 60 to 70 meter range where it'll still get one shot kills lower torso in 6 v 6

I disagree I like the spx but in my opinion the mcpr is so much better because it has 10 rounds in a magazine I just feel like the 5 rounds in the spx just arent enough for clips and multikills.

@@JohnLattier yup, as a longer ranged sniper, for ground war, for their bigger damage ranges, yup. Otherwise you won't get the kill in one shot as much, and you don't usually get the chance for follow up shots against good foes
SP-X is my bread and butter when it comes to sniper rifles. Absolutely love it. Had some accidental quick scopes in a few matches.

It's the best "quickscoping" sniper, but for long range sniping the Victus XRM is unmatched, you can make it effectively hitscan until 300-400m

5:50 If you're picking people off at long ranges, chances are they're not shooting at you so you don't need better flinch resistance
Agree, i'd rather take some aiming stability for 250+ meters shots or ADS speed for quick shots after repositioning.
If you're picking off people at long range, I'd imagine ADS speed wouldn't help as much either because you'd have to spend more time fixing your crosshairs anyway
Definitely my favorite, as soon as I unlocked it I never looked back
You seem to like that VLK 4.0 optic, have you ever tried the Schlager 3.4x? It has a clearer sight picture and a wider fov when ads. It's the best mid range scope imo.

Somehow this gun unlocked itself for me. I never used the snipers at all, but had everything else in the game pretty much maxed out.
I came to start on the snipers and noticed that I had it unlocked already, having never used a sniper in a class. I've only ever picked them up off the ground in game.
Very weird, but welcome, since it's such a good gun!
I still enjoy the LAB the most cause of its look and feel from shooting it. But definitely gonna try this out more
And the look of the rifle is cool too!
My only complaint is that I wish I had more ammo for it haha. Love this gun. Just run scavenger perk when you rock with it.
I really hope they add in the WA2000 sniper rifle. That was one of my favourite snipers in the cod franchise, especially the original MW2

Makes sense to be the best gun, it's the last weapon you will unlock in most cases, especially if you don't use only the SPRs... I love it, maybe the best sniper in a recent CoD
It's my favorite sniper next to the mcpr. Simply because it kinda reminds me of the locus. Just by looks

The no re-center after shot can be fixed by breaking ads after shot before reload

SP-X80 is my fave sniper for 6v6 maps. My aggressive build is similar except I use the 5x FTAC Delta4 scope. For DMZ or WZ, I’ll use MCPR or Victus, but the SP-X80 is still my fave, and I have more kills with it than any other weapon. Sniping for the win!
It also looks badass too.
I switch between this and the SA-B. Both great to use in MW2 for aggressive play

Its worth dropping the scope for a non variable zoom unless you really like it. You can save 20ms ads even using a 9.5 zoom like the mcpr scope which is my favourite for ground war/invasion. 6v6 I use the forge tac delta but that's personal preference and same ads as the vlk

Now i know why i prefer the LA-B that min range helps alot more for me since im a 32v32 player. And i tend to only use the lighter weight velocity bossting barrel, so i dont get a range boost. Idk why also i dont feel confident in my shots with sp-x either so if i play 6v6 i tend to use the mcpr as my sniper.
So for long range I found it really inconsistent idk if it was my build at the time but it felt really innaccurate at really long range saying like 200+ meters I will agree for aggressive play style it’s really fun to use
I think I'd ditch the rear grip for a idle sway underbarrel in your ground war setup.

I think I still hate sniper and marksman rifles, but with your builds for a start it makes them a little better.
It’s probably the best *shotgun* in the game too.

the SP-X Does have the fastest ADS which makes it feel like a quick and reliable sniper rifle, but for some reason I prefer the Victus XMR. Objectively it might not be better but I just do better with it constantly enough for it to be my favorite all around sniper in the game.
Hey ace, would LOVE to hear your thoughts on auto tac sprint/ single tap tac sprint use in ranked play specifically. Seems to be a mixed bag and I’m struggling to know which to use
Why on earth would you want it to be automatic, that gives up a lot of control, i know I’m not Ace so you didn’t exactly ask me but in my honest opinion single tap is better cause it gives you more control over how you move specifically
0:18 you usually refer the real life names of the weapons featured, and just to let you know, the SP-X's real life name is the Remington M2010 ESR.
Definitely the best actual sniper and was my favorite when doing Orion.

I've been saying on your videos for months the spx is the best Sniper. About time everyone can see what I'm talking about. The Spx is God mode in ground war.
Edit: if you actually want a long range spx don't waste an attachment slot on the grip and bolt they're a waste.
Use the 22 calvary + a suppressor, I prefer the reaper. It'll ADS a little slower but you don't need to lead shots with it unless they're on a full sprint and over 100 meters away. I've hit 400+ meter shots with ease with this setup.
I switch back and forth between the SPX and MCPR usually.

For smg's, how much range increase do muzzles typically provide? Eg XTEN rr40. Any reason Ace doesn't test muzzle ranges/ads?

I’d like to see your long range builds on both this and the 330 and see what is best
they are 1000% identical in bullet speed snd drop. The spx has faster ads though. With the same amount of aiming stability the spx is 50ms faster in ads. for ground war 300 high velocity is the only attachment you'll need for range. It makes the gun have no bullet drop until 150m. at 200 you have to aim a little bit over the head.
Hey ace, why didn't you use the ADS grip on your aggressive class?
It seems like they mixed up the damage values of this gun and the LAB vs the MCPR and Victus. Why would you ever use the bigger, heavier, slower rifles with worse damage stats? The heavy MCPR and Victus should have the crazy 1 hit zone with slow ADS and rechambering. This gun and its sister have it all
Those doesnt one shot if you hit the hand but they have a much bigger range for stomach and shoulder shots
Damage range and bullet speed. The SP-X and LA-B aren't one shotting the entire torso past 90 m like the MCPR and Victus, nor are they getting the same bullet speeds. The SR category isn't designed with just 6v6 in mind.
howcome you havent been doing the Aiming stability stat with the snipers? I am really curious with how they stack up against eachother in that department especially considering how important that can be with this category of weapon.

i like this sniper but imo it has more idle sway then the other snipers idk if this is true but it feels like it for me at longer ranges
I just wanna shout out the sp-x 80, I thought I was going to have to do the hip fire kills with the mcpr for polyatomic camo, luckily I can skip it now 🙂
I use the SPX for 6v6, but for longer range sniping in DMZ I use the MCPR.
For 6v6 it's hard to beat the fast ADS time coupled with the stopping power of a sniper, for sure.
I think Marksman rifles are not consistent enough with one shot kills cause the maps have much verticality.
I recommend using the Shlager Match Grip in place of the VLK optic. This gives better sprint to fire speeds and and you can still use the Defualt scope which is amazing for quickscoping and aggressive sniping
Yo Ace, or anyone, what is the best muzzle in general for ar and smg's i see u runnimg sakin and sometimes rf crown 50. But i just wanna know whats the best general muzzle that covers both vertical and horizontal equally for both classes. Thank you

I still prefer the mcpr for ultra long range because I think you can get much better bullet velocity with it

I think the MCPR and Victus were designed only for Battle Royale and DMZ cause they only stand up against SPX and LAB at ranges we'll never encounter in 6v6.

Are there any ever changes to your gun guides after all the updates?
Maybe I'm just weird, but I seem to have an easier time staying on target for follow-up shots with the snipers and marksmans that don't re-center automatically than with the ones that do, so I kinda see that as a positive trait rather than a negative in my experience. I couldn't tell you why, but I generally just seem to have better aim all-around when I have to do it myself even though I just kinda suck at the game in general. Maybe I'm just instinctively always trying to re-center without realizing it, and the automatic re-center is throwing me off? Idk, but I'm definitely just a better shot with the manual guns.
I agree that this is the best sniper in the game but for aggressive play styles. I feel like the Victus XMR is the better choice at longer ranges that you'll find in DMZ and possibly Ground War.
Only with explosive ammo. Otherwise it does the same damage, only slower
Why is Victus your favourite for long range ? I feel like the MCPR has no downsides to the Victus but bigger mag and faster rate of fire.
Now that this video is out and we’re on the topic, anyone else feel like the SP-R 208 and LA-B 330 are kinda useless? The they both get way out classed in their respective play styles/categories.

It’s definitely a great gun, but I like the LA-B better. I only use full snipers in Ground War, so the extra midrange is more important to me than ADS speed, and I do feel like I perform better than when I use the SP-X, but only slightly. It’s all the subjective feel that makes me prefer the LA-B. The SP-X would be my second choice, most likely.

The SPX 6.6 scope is the objectively best long range scope in entire game, this is a fact, not an opinion. It has a clear sight picture, medium glint (relatively very little) and comfortable zoom levels for both close and long range. The only situation in sniping when this is not the objectively best choice is if you want to use a thermal scope.
I use the Locus sight right next to it because it comes with a green dot. Find it hard to see the center of the reticle sometimes when there's no dot in the middle
