Here is a quick hack on how to make a center yarn pull skein, no fancy winder necessary! Simply grab a toilet paper roll and get busy!
    Top Tips:
*A toilet paper roll works perfectly but if you have a chunky yarn , a paper towel roll works even better.
*Start with about 20 wraps horizontally (not too tight or it will be hard to slide off later)
*Then, at a diagonal, wrap from bottom corner to opposite top corner about 5 times.
*Make a quarter turn and repeat. Just keep doing this until you're finished.
Gently slide yarn off your tube and voila!

Now all of a sudden I have to retrieve the toilet paper roll that I just threw in the garbage.

I've always used this method for rewinding scraps. It feels good to see little balls of yarn instead of a strangled mess.🤓

One of the talents of a turkish spindle is the ability to make a center pull ball as you spin. Or make a center pull ball from yarn you already have.

We're your hands clean when you harvested that TP roll? What were you doing? Please use part of a paper towel roll instead. Some organization asked me to decorate TP rolls they collected from the community. I got very sick for 2 weeks.
