  • Keep Crochet Chain From Twisting | Crochet Hack | Crochet Tips & Tricks
Here is a quick hack on how to help stop your chain from twisting when you are trying to create a long strand. Even if you do not decide to slip stitch it at the end (ie: you are doing a long chain for a blanket project) I would recommend you still give this is a try. It helps A LOT.

This is interesting in the fact that you go back to your first stitch after you have made some more ,I don't use a hook because I only tie knots but I have discovered that if one makes a chain the first knot what you might say is a slip knot (but is really a noose knot) is an overhand knot but all the other links in the chain are figure of 8 knots but if one undose the first link one can make a single strand star knot by joining the ends.

Question, I figured out how to do this but how do I do the chain towards the yarn??

I’m sorry I don’t understand what you mean

@@PlayHookywithMe it’s kinda hard for me to explain, when i create the chain it goes down to the tail part of the slip knot and not towards the ball of yarn. sorry it’s kinda hard to explain

@@tvpwk unfortunately, without seeing what you're doing it's hard for me to say what to do. It could be that you're putting your hook in the wrong place when you are putting it in at the tail area to hold it in place. keep practicing , you'll get it. xx
