Zinsser 123+ is brilliant stuff. I’ve used it on a rental property where they had a water stained kitchen ceiling. Two coats covered it and held it back a treat! I would use again and highly recommend! 👍🏾
Thankyou very much, i learn from you to bud. i would use 2 coats of the nornal bin anyway, i will invest in a tin know. the fumes on the meth based bin concern me some times when i am working for the elderly or people with breathing problems. the bin aqua would solve this worry.
I've used the ordinary 123. Let me down recently on skirting that had old yellowed gloss. Used it as an undercoat for water based gloss. 123 didn't adhere well and it's just peeling off now! It takes a few coats to cover ceiling water stain marks, but it dries very quickly. Think I'll try Aqua BIN next time.
@@Inexteriors that a thing people get wrong about it, it's not supposed to cover the stain, it creates a barrier so your top coats cover the stain and doesn't bleed through. You have to apply two coats with the correct drying time, then top coats.
Every zinssser product has changed … even the red bin doesn’t do what it used to on water stains …. Smith and Rodger’s shellac based for water stains , but if time isn’t an issue , oil based undercoat every time !!!

Amazing to hear heat that, cant wait to try it on water stains.
The bin aqua is really good mate on water stains but does need 2 coats. The zinsser bin was always my go to until i started using the aqua.

Used the Bin 123 Plus on some bare MDF and found it good. Smith and Rodgers Blockade is great for heavily nicotine stained wood work.
Good to know, i will keep a look out for it.
What is your go to caulk?
Thanks
Dan
I just use pro gold from Johnstons trsde.

I admire your work Steven. You’re not the most natural presenter (no offence) but neither am I 👍🏻

I hear you with the oil based undercoat.
@@Inexteriors IV only ever used it as a grip primer/primer which is very good. I stick to red bin for stains as you said in the video.
