    The best kenkey tutorial on RUclips award goes to.... Original Mama Betty ta da! 🎊 🎊 Was I Surprise 🤔 no not all. I have come to the realization that every food tutorial you publish will come with a twist. I just said "wowwwww" this is something beyond my imagination who would have thought about it then again I remind myself this woman is very creative. Attention food bloggers on RUclips if you try this recipe please acknowledge you saw it here on my mummy's channel first. I can safely say this is by far the best creative dish you have done. I enjoyed every bit of it. 😅 Not only are you a good teacher but a prefect role model for me. You have the patience to sit and do a step by step tutorial to show our beautiful culture to the rest of the world and especially the African youth. Honestly, you do take your time to teach and explain what you doing and that's what I love about you. For instance, how you dress when you are cooking the banku. No body talks about that on RUclips thank you for teaching us. It truly shows you enjoy what you doing and I'm so proud and happy that all your hard work is paying off. Take a bow 🙇 because you know I'll be trying this magic kenkey recipe soon. 😁 Excellent job. The video was very informative and interesting your smile is always contagious.     Anti Betty, you are the best, a generation saver, because generation upon generation will learn from your videos, you are such an amazing figure, a role models, any woman who take your smiles, style and ways you communicates will always win the heart of their husband.     Unfortunately, when l so my kenkey and hit the ground it can brake the ground, so hard, so l stop making kenkey 10years ago. Now, with Mama Betty's recipe, l can win an award for my kenkey. On my way to the market to buy my corn dough and the rest .

    This is my first video and I have subscribed. My mom is Jamaican and she use to make this back in my country(The Grand Bahamas),when I was a little girl,but without the meat. I'm glad to find your channel, I'm learning to cook Ghanaian dishes for my Ghanaian husband. This helps.

      I'm live in Jamaica and this meal and cooking method is extremely foreign to me. Reminds me somewhat of a turn cornmeal though

    New Year's traditional dinner at my home is Kenkey, fish and assorted seafood, with home fried sauces and peppers of all sorts. I can make my own Dokunu this year, thanks to you! Jah Bless!!!

    Thanks very much for showing us the preparation of Ga Komi. I like the surprise. I want to suggest that you use a plain cloth or gray baft instead of rubber to cover the kenkey (Komi).

    Very good mixing African and European cuisine. We are born abroad so we are introduced to it early. I would like to eat that with Jamaican chicken stew, curry goat or Dora water.

      I've never used cassava dough in mine but you can do alot and refrigerate it 😘

    I'm unfamiliar with Ghanaian food can you describe the taste and how do you ferment dough? What kind of flour is it? Corn? Wheat? I thought it would be baked in fire not boiled wow! But what if you baked it? Would it be called something else then? I'm from Michigan, USA.

    Sweet Heart, I am a Gha lady, and I know how to cook Kɔmi aka Otim very well.
    My advice is, please don't use plastic / polythene or foil in cooking or on hot 🔥 food as when plastic or foil are exposed to high heat, it can leak toxic chemicals into the food. You can cook Kɔmi in a sauce pan with a tight fitting lid without the need of any plastic. If you need to cover with anything extra, please use a tea towel, aka kitchen napkin.

    where did the word kenkey come from because the last time I checked the Ga call it komi or otim and the Fantis call it dokono. so where did the word kenkey come from
