I live in CA and our sheriff's department had jurisdiction over an Indian reservation in the county for years. About 20 years ago the sheriff decided he had enough after deputies were consistently shot at when they went out there on calls and told them they were on their own. They had actually shot 2 deputies, who luckily lived, but that was the final straw. The reservation then started their own police agency to patrol their land. The casino on their land is really nice but I don't recommend going at night or driving anywhere near their homes.
I'm from New Mexico and Arizona. You grow up all around reservations out here and yeah, it's a bit of another world still on native land. Drove a cab where a lot of my fares were to and from a res. Had my backpack stolen by a native chick lol. Also had an old drunk regular who kept pissing his pants. Soiled the seat one night. Yeah needless to say didn't drive a cab for very long lol. Tricky to navigate, got to watch your back for sure as many natives are still living on really tough and desperate times. As they saying goes, what happens on the res stays on the res. Lots of truth to that.
How can that be? Firearms are illegal on the Res. Don’t tell me that someone ignored the law. I also believe that alcohol is outlawed on the research too. I do know that both are up on the NE reservation but it's a different tribe.
The root of the problem was clearly Alcohol, the fact that there were firearms anywhere near the party should be a major concern for reservation leaders! Where in SanTan did this happen? The reservation is spread out a bit. 🙏 for all of those involved. ❤️ 💙 and condolences to the Officers family.
A lot of people seem confused. Parties are what the tribe refers to as "dances". What the the tribe did is put a temporary curfew on parties, they didn't actually outlaw dancing lol.

Native American Dances are so much more than social events. They are Religious Ceremonies, Family Reunions, places to meet marriage partners, places to Honor those who passed- and those recently born. Among many Western Tribes today, they are also the main source of income- as a good Dancer with good Regalia can earn thousands of dollars in a weekend at some Dances. So- shutting down Dances is the equivalent to, say, Banning all catholic church services.
@@JoeyJoJoJr0 I think they’re doing it to protect the vast majority of the crowd because there’s something going on where ppl who are armed are coming to the events. So I don’t see it as a punishment. They just done want another death until they get a grip on what’s happening.
