Really like the Huawei MateBook X. Premium build and design, fingerprint reader works flawlessly, outstanding speakers, good performance. Only average battery life, but not a deal breaker for me. It really checks all the boxes. Great first try by Huawei. What do you think about the Huawei MateBook X?
I ordered the huawei mate book X i7 model on Amazon a couple of days before black Friday at $97 for a limited offer. I am not sure if you mentioned it but the keyboard is actually spill proof. Makes this an awesome road warrior. Great review!
This is an incredible laptop. The build quality, screen, simplicity, weight, size are perfect and premium. The best part are the speakers. OMG best I've heard on a laptop. I've tried so many others that are supposed to have good speakers and they don't even come close to Matebook X. Even Macbook 12 is not even close. So sad I had to sell it for $$. Only concern for me is battery life. I was getting maybe 6.
**UPDATE** I just did some testing on the charging times: With the device on it took just over an hour to charge 50%. I am not done with my testing, but it looks like about 2 hours to fully charge this device with the device on. Should be even less with the device off. I will report back soon on more charging times.
AMDtech Awesome! Thanks for testing, that's one of the disadvantages of not having thunderbolt 3 support. Other devices like the new Asus Zenbook 3 Deluxe or the HP Spectre X360 are able to charge to 50% in just 30 minutes, which makes them more suitable for an all day experience in case the standard battery life isn't enough for your specifical use. Thanks for hearing your viewers, your content is getting better every time. Congrats and best of luck.
your review now is better, more emphasise on the product.. this device is awesome, I had the mediabook & mate 8, now ready to buy this device after your convincing presentation.. tq bro.
This or the Asus Zenbook Deluxe? Can you comment on the outdoor performance of the Asus (as in the anti-glare coating and 281 nits vs this product?) Really informative videos! Keep it up!
Thanks for this video. I really like the laptop. Just as a tip for improvement, I would shorten the summary at the end highlighting the key points. Please keep the videos coming. Take care. :)
1mm of key travel is awful. Surely they could have given it a better keyboard with more travel. What the heck does another 0.6mm make to the overall thickness? Practically nothing, but it improves the typing experience immeasurably.
Hi! What do you think about comparing it to the Xiao Mi NoteBook, HuaWei Matebook X and Apple MacBook? Looking for a laptop as am currently using a 13 inch MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013/2014
Thanks! I hate to say it but I really like the MateBook X better. Don't get me wrong, I love the Dell XPS 13, but the webcam placement is better, the 3:2 aspect ratio, overall looks sway me to the MateBook X
Thanks for your reply. I think I will be getting the Matebook. I agree that it looks great the 3:2 ratio is a good bonus and I love the weight. I just had hands on experience with the XPS 13 for me I don't like the feel of the material used on the inside.
Hi! Great video! I really like this laptop, and I’m hoping to grab one when it comes out and I was wondering if you could tell me when(or if) this is being released in Australia and what the price would be, thanks
Because there is no fan if will have to throttle otherwise it will get too hot. I am in the middle of testing some things and will report my findings in an update video.
Very nice review Andrew. I think that with this laptop, the people's main concern is battery life. How fast does it charge to 50%? I think it's a good thing to include in every video since more and more people are looking for that all day battery life or fast charging in it's absence. Keep up the great work.
I just tested the charging time with the device on it took just over an hour to get to 50%. So you are looking at 2:00 hours or so with the device on to fully charge the device. I am doing more testing so stay tuned.
when i first saw this laptop i was like its defs my next laptop and that still hasnt changed. But i will probably wait for the second generation where they hopefully will put a larger battery in and maybe put a better camera. if they had those two things checked then i think it will be hands down the best laptop. Touch screen isnt an issue never used one and really dont mind. (currently have a 5 year old macbook air) Another great plus is the keyboard is splash proof and i think u forgot to mention that
What do you think, playing grafic unintensive games like League of Legends etc, can it coop with it with it's passive coolion (maybe even for longer periods of time)?
This is a not a gaming machine for sure. But you can do some gaming on it. But because it doesn't have a fan it will throttle down when it gets too hot. It just has to find a way to cool down.
I love the Dell XPS 13, but I think I would choose the MateBook X as it has better placement of the webcam, I like its fingerprint sensor placement. I prefer the 3:2 aspect ration over the 16:9 at this point.
Thanks for getting back to me! not a bad time to purchase an ultrabook. The only problem with this one sounds like the average battery life. I was leaning towards the xps for that reason but not sure anymore. Would you recommend going for the i7 on a xps 13 non touch? or is the slight boost in performance not worth the price and forgone battery life?
The videos you're playing make the screen look like it has huge bezels. I suggest finding videos that match the 3:2 screen ratio. Or play a video in VLC and zoom in to fit the screen
Hi ı will buy a new laptop but i cant decide which one that ı will buy. I have a windows 10 operated desktop. So im thinking that macbook pro will be a better solution for me due to different os. But matebook x seems so great and price is 799$ so which one do you suggest?
Now that the Matebook X has dropped in price I'm having a tough time deciding between the Gray and the Gold. Forget about the specs. The color is what I cannot decide on. I'm a male but I'm a bit worried that the Gold is effeminate or pretentious. What do you think Andrew?
I went with the Space Grey and love that color. I just couldn't bring myself to buy the gold one even with the better specs. I love this machine and I am thinking of doing a follow up video since reduced price.
Andrew Marc David I don't know if you will ever do an update video, but can you at least reply to me if there are any issues after 6 or 7 months of use, or any other thoughts you may want to share?
Nice review, but there is a couple of mistakes. First the i7 model is 200$ more than the i5 and not 300$ , and second, the key travel of the keyboeard is actually 1.2mm and not 1mm.
Thanks for the correction, you are right the core i7 is $200 more not $300. According to my tests key travel is 1mm. LaptopMag reported the same. Engadget reported 1.2mm. To be honest, it really doesn't make a difference, overall tactile feedback is good and is comfortable to type on. Thanks for the input!
Dude, if you have the laptop, why are there so many still pictures in the video? This is a video for God sake, we saw you moving but still of the actual product being reviewed...... Come on man!
*DEAL ALERT* NOW ONLY $899 over at Microsoft. (A steal in my opinion) for one of the best ultra portables on the market. Here is the link: Space Gray Model bit.ly/2xz4uU6 and $999 for Core i7 Prestige Gold Model: and $999 for Core i7-7500u Prestige Gold model: bit.ly/2wjqfJi and Both come with MateDock 2

I am actually testing the HP Spectre X2 right now and HP claims 50% in 30 min. I will report my findings in the full review for the Spectre X2.
Can you review asus vivobook s
I discovered this channel a few days ago, so far so good!
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
AMDtech Thank you for taking the time to post these videos man!
Nice video. Would you go for this or the surface laptop?
Nice review.
Did you test applications on this model as in "production environments" using applications such as Photoshop, MS office, etc...?
your review now is better, more emphasise on the product.. this device is awesome, I had the mediabook & mate 8, now ready to buy this device after your convincing presentation.. tq bro.
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
Great review by Andrew, my compliments
Great review and a great product
Thanks Mate! Really loving this so far for what it is. A great thin and light device.
This premium laptop/notebook actually appears to be worth the premium price! Nice review and shared as usual.
Thanks Tim, so far I really like this one. Even at $1,100 it may be worth it.
This or the Asus Zenbook Deluxe? Can you comment on the outdoor performance of the Asus (as in the anti-glare coating and 281 nits vs this product?)
Really informative videos! Keep it up!
Most awaited review from Andrew. I think the cons are not a big deal.... It is a excellent and premium device of 2017.
Thanks! I really like this laptop a lot. I have not stopped using it since I got it.
Great review, nice job!
I enjoyed the video! Keep it up!

What games did you play ? And what games could it play ?
love the detail review. I was all set to get the dell xps 13 but now I dont know... which do you like better xps 13 or matebook X?
Thanks! I hate to say it but I really like the MateBook X better. Don't get me wrong, I love the Dell XPS 13, but the webcam placement is better, the 3:2 aspect ratio, overall looks sway me to the MateBook X

Excellent review. Would love to hear your opinion on the surface book.
I did a review of the the Core i5 Surface Book a while back. Did not get a chance to test out the model with performance base. Thanks!
AMDtech I am only a new subscriber! Will have a look at it, cheers.
Hey Andrew. What would you buy, this or the Samsung notebook 9 pro?
That's a very nice looking laptop! Very nice review.
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
Huawei and AMDTech ..Together creating the future.
Superb product and excellent review.
hey what is the speaker in the background? Bluetooth? Love the channel.
+rainmakr20 the speaker is by 1byone and it is Bluetooth. I have a review on it very soon. Thanks!
Brilliant review
Hi! Great video! I really like this laptop, and I’m hoping to grab one when it comes out and I was wondering if you could tell me when(or if) this is being released in Australia and what the price would be, thanks
Thanks! Not sure when it will be released in Australia.
Please review the asus Zenbook Flip S
Lawrenz Nelson I'm waiting for it as well.
Lovely presentation, thumbs up
Please do a video on its gaming performance.
Was there any throttling as there is no fan?
Because there is no fan if will have to throttle otherwise it will get too hot. I am in the middle of testing some things and will report my findings in an update video.

Hi which one should I buy
Matebook X - 8GB RAM or
Asus zenbook 3 deluxe - 16 GB RAM . I expect a clear answer Sir either X or 3 deluxe
3 6 9 aaa energy Yes

Great review, but you should have repeated the price at the end. I had to go back and look towards the beginning at $1099.
Thanks for the feedback, good idea.
very good video sir...
Thanks! I really appreciate it!

Bc the charging port is usb type c, can you charge the laptop with a power bank?
yes
relase the pro version!
althought good review but u have to change ur camera b/c the camera is not making much colab with the matebook screen and other devices u review
Thanks for the feedback, but I am not sure what you mean by "colab". Would help if you could be more specific. Thanks!
mean the camera is not picking up the colors accurately .... the screen of device showed in video look way more brighter than real life ...
and plz review the new surface laptop b/c i have that blue color one and i think it just sucks !!!!!
No touch screen?
Unfortunately not, would have been fantastic on this device.
Andrew Marc David exactly.
Touch screen?
Wish it had a touch screen, but it does not. Either way great display.
Just bought the gold i7 version for & 717 new on ebay. SCORE!
Nice!! Great deal.
awsome review man...keep it up
Dude, if you have the laptop, why are there so many still pictures in the video? This is a video for God sake, we saw you moving but still of the actual product being reviewed...... Come on man!
adapter is USB type Sea which is always good to C. puns
lol
Cool
would you rather take this device or the Samsung Galaxy book 12 inches ?
Two different devices in my opinion. One is a laptop and the other is a 2-in-1. Both happen to be great devices.
Nice video
Ok so a Macbook that runs Windows
it looks so macbook 12'
By saying windows MacBook do you mean over priced laptop with shitty hardware?

Thanks for clarifying.
