hey Tim another well structured review very impressed with this device I do like the design the lack of ports is a shame but could easily be fixed by a dock , overall the brightness seems very nice and the front facing camera is impressive
This is a really great looking laptop. I'm impressed. Eventually everything will be using usb type c, so I guess it's future proof. And besides, it ships with the adapter. So no worries there
Tim very nice really enjoyed. I think this is definitely great for grab and go rather then carry a heavy Laptop.Either for plane ride or at night for some movie Watching when you really don't want to be bog down with the weight.or Have Television blaring at night to keep people up when and if a person is a night owl like me.Or like you mentioned for any kind of appointments where you don't want to carry a laptop with you. Thanks for sharing excellent choice and especially when Huawei includes the adapter with it.Looks nice and clean to me also Love that it is also nice and the thin.Great Review enjoyed Deb.P.S.The day's of logging all the heavy stuff with you gets old and cubersome.
As a MacBook Pro user, I have to say that the dongle part isn't as bad as many reviewers make it seem, I mean, nobody really carry the laptop around bare naked, we all carry it in a bag or a suitcase or something, and you really only need 1 or 2 dongles... really is not that bad, obviously not as confortable as legacy ports though
Cupcakelover221 Yeah the one they included is nice and all but I'd prefer the laptop to be thicker if it meant getting all the standard ports. And what about SD card readers? Another dongle for that. I just hope that tech companies realize that most people prefer functionality over thinness.
Yeah, I've never used an SD card, so it hasn't been a issue for me, but I can see the struggle. But like it or not, it seem to be where the industry is going, so we might as well embrace it, little by little, more and more laptops start to adopt this standard
Oh for the love of good how often do you connect stuff to your laptop? I use the USB port like 3x a year and carrying a dongle is not a problem at all.
So when I want this repaired, or if something breaks down, I have to send it to China to get it serviced? Yikes. Don't know if it's worth all that hassle.
I'm not sure but at least in my region (europe) Huawei is an enough popular brand to have its own section in the markets just like apple or samsung. So guess they also have technicians there
Doesn't look bad, but isn't it almost the same price as a HP Spectre x360? Too expensive. You could also go even lighter with a Samsung Laptop 9... not sure why Huawei decided to go with that price range. Should've been cheaper.
Does anyone have this laptop..? If yes, can you just write into comments who does you like it? Iam really thinking to buy this one, but i don't know, if it's a big deal.
Great review! But I have to say, it's not called "wa-wei", but really Huawei, as in "hoo-a-wei", for lack of a better way to type it. (Sorry, had to say it, seeing as I cringe every time I hear it) Now I just have to wait until I get a raise to be able to afford this beauty.
alex mugereki Um the lower tier version is cheaper than the MacBook and the next one up is the same price as the MacBook. And both have better specs than the MacBook...
It's so tiring seeing all these '' xxxx copy apple'' comments. Like, do you not ever get tired of saying that everytime you see something that resembles apple products? Heck, they didn't invent EVERYTHING. In fact, they are far behind but still calls it INNOVATION.
Finally, a reviewer who demonstrates the keyboard backlight quality. Great overall review. Kudos. Keep it up!

How in the world are companies getting away with promoting atmos on a stereo system!??
Lack of ports makes this thing impractical in most cases. I don't want to carry dongles everywhere just to get the full laptop experience.
You only need to carry one dongle, which is the one that it already comes with which has nearly all the ports you need.
Cupcakelover221 Yeah the one they included is nice and all but I'd prefer the laptop to be thicker if it meant getting all the standard ports. And what about SD card readers? Another dongle for that. I just hope that tech companies realize that most people prefer functionality over thinness.

I would buy it today if it had a Micro SD slot. Too bad. Maybe next time
It is a fantastic laptop.
Doesn't look bad, but isn't it almost the same price as a HP Spectre x360? Too expensive. You could also go even lighter with a Samsung Laptop 9... not sure why Huawei decided to go with that price range. Should've been cheaper.
Please give me this laptap
Gaming on this like Dota 2?
Does anyone have this laptop..? If yes, can you just write into comments who does you like it? Iam really thinking to buy this one, but i don't know, if it's a big deal.
He doesn't metion it in the video but it's splashproof. Not a big deal but still something that other competitors don't have
yup, I have this Matebook and its awesome. I really love this machine.
Can you give it to me
Please do a giveawaaaaaay
It looks like an hp spectre
Nice
wow!
Love the laptop hate the keyboard
great review but try to clean up a bit before shooting the video next time, the mess in the background at 4:08 doesn't look good :)
Benjamin Caris most of those are things he's collected from events.
You seem very impatient in this video. Is it really this exciting? haha
I love this laptop so much I would trade my MacBook Pro for it (that's saying a lot since I prefer macOS by far).
can you also play fortnite ?
Yes but for about 4 hours, it's a good for gaming but with limits
Pricey items. Not worth it.
Great review! But I have to say, it's not called "wa-wei", but really Huawei, as in "hoo-a-wei", for lack of a better way to type it. (Sorry, had to say it, seeing as I cringe every time I hear it)

Bubreherro he actually pronounced it right. Listen to how everyone including employees say it.
Too expensive! Definitely not worth it moving on...
alex mugereki Um the lower tier version is cheaper than the MacBook and the next one up is the same price as the MacBook. And both have better specs than the MacBook...
Only a 1000 bucks

Everyone is saying nice laptop, this is basically a mac. If it where a mac everyone would be saying "Apple sucks!" 😂 I don't get it..
Different OS
dude, this is totally a macbook clone
Phil Thomas I'm using macbook, I don't think it's a copy of macbook. the texture is more bright than macbook and keyboard is different too.
Phil Thomas Clones aren't better than the real thing. This is what the next mac book will probably be like.
Phil Thomas A passively cooled i5, I haven't seen that before in a laptop, neither in macbooks
Apple didn't invent aluminum you isheep

Can I play gta 5 in huawei mate book x

Omg...that backlight is so ugly for the price point
