I remember listening to this during the height of the pandemic. My Dad would be downstairs watching documentaries late into the night and i'd be upstairs listening to obscure music. Now it's bittersweet, because my dad died nearly 2 weeks ago from cancer and all I can think when listening to this again is how I should have went downstairs and chilled out with him instead of being on youtube...hug your parents everyone. It doesn't last forever and when it ends the small things matter most.

I love Deftones so much. This song is helping me keep calm when so many other stuff I try is not able to. I quit my job two weeks ago...the people I had to work with didn't respect me. And then I left and that was just it. Wow, I got sentimental reading this, this hit a soft spot. This reminds me of my late teens doing the same thing with friends, driving around late at night, going out for some cheap thrills over some alcohol by the playground or park. Simpler days with a lot of confuse with a bunch of kids trying to make sense about life.
First time I heard this song, I was stoned and alone in my room, red LED lights just dimly lit the room, a black light lit the paper on my walls as I continued to ponder on how the universe works. It was a very sad, nostalgic moment. That hopeless sense of longing for something you know will never come back, and it's bittersweet. I ended my first relationship - 8 years - yesterday. Today, I packed up some simple necessities and disappeared into the mountains for some peace. I walked all the way to the top of a snowy peak, collapsed in a drift and let it all go. I made certain that this song played the whole time. I feel like it drew out the sting, let it burn for awhile, and finally allowed for it subside just enough for the sense of calm to wash over me and remind me that everything is going to be okay with time... I just needed to go far away.

I just got home from the hospital for a suicide attempt. I feel really guilty. Alot of people have checked on me but I have a hard time facing all of them. I mostly stay to myself. Drink myself blind every night. I'm really struggling with it all. Chino and the Deftones help me remember why I'm here. The music gets me through another day.

This reminds me of my late teens doing the same thing with friends, driving around late at night, going out for some cheap thrills over some alcohol by the playground or park. First time I heard this song, I was stoned and alone in my room, red LED lights just dimly lit the room, a black light lit the paper on my walls as I continued to ponder on how the universe works. It was a very sad, nostalgic moment. That hopeless sense of longing for something you know will never come back, and it's bittersweet. It's the same feeling I get when I was a kid, getting on that bus and going home from my very last summer camp trip. The same feeling I got when I graduated elementary, middle, and high school.

I’m at a weird point in my life. I don’t really like anything I’m studying, me and my friends are going separate ways at the end of the year, and I’m not sure where I’m going in life, where I’m heading, or if I’ll like it. But when I listen to this song it’s like I’m in my own bubble and everything goes away. I find myself humming to it when there’s no one around. I can’t wait to get a guitar and teach myself this song on it. Deftones make my life better, they’re one of the only good things that keep me going.

This was from the Little Nicky session. This has been altered and mixed. The real live version Adam Sandler was right next to them when they played this for a TV or radio audience. Can't remember but I think it was a TV audience. I have the full version where Adam introduces them and they chat before Playing this. Adam even sings in this. I ended my first relationship - 8 years - yesterday. Today, I packed up some simple necessities and disappeared into the mountains for some peace. I walked all the way to the top of a snowy peak, collapsed in a drift and let it all go. I made certain that this song played the whole time. I feel like it drew out the sting, let it burn for awhile, and finally allowed for it subside just enough for the sense of calm to wash over me and remind me that everything is going to be okay with time... I just needed to go far away.
The first few times I heard this I couldn't get to it, just the original song. My dad passed away out of nowhere November 23rd of this year, and I can hear every note so perfectly.

I believe what this is is an out take cut of the original video from 1997 that they just never used. more than likely because of what he is wearing because its completely different from his skater pants and long sleeve black shirt. I just got home from the hospital for a suicide attempt. I feel really guilty. Alot of people have checked on me but I have a hard time facing all of them. I mostly stay to myself. Drink myself blind every night. I'm really struggling with it all. Chino and the Deftones help me remember why I'm here. The music gets me through another day.

This isn't a hard thing to grasp if you're a musician & make music. You can make tracks sound like its half the speed easily. Put a snare on the 3rd beat once rather than the 2 & 4. This is why 80 bpm hip hop can be mixed simously with 160bpm drum & bass
