You remain in our hearts and through so much music I find you here in this track. Miss ya loco 🖤

Deftones got my mother through some major stuff. She was admitted to a drug rehabilitation program and I have her White Pony to listen to. She said that's all she listened too and it helped her get straight and out. Sadly she died a year later and I buried her with all of the Deftones cd's up until 2012. She loved this band.

Have you ever seen a comment like: "I wish I could listen to this for the first time again"? Well, this is my first time and this is awesome, I love it Edit 1 year later: I listen to the Deftones usually, almost everyday, they are definitely something more. They turned my favourite band since December 2021 and some of their songs get suck in my head all the day :D Some of my favourite ones, not in order are be quiet and drive, minerva, swerve city, riviere, rosemary, cherry waves, xerces, rx queen, change (in the house of flies), pink maggit, teenager or korea. It's Christmas morning in 2000, my mom is cooking breakfast for our family and the house smells great. I'm in my room playing Dave Mira Freestyle BMX on my brand new Dreamcast. This song comes on and my 10 year old mind expands forever.

Was homeless a few months ago... The Deftones sticker on my otterbox actually saved me from getting robbed/beaten on one occasion. They legit left me alone because I was a Deftones fan 😆
They actually tried to get me to come hang with their gang. Ran into several of them a few times since, they're always like "Deftones guy!". In retrospect I think they realized how big I am (plus a nose that's clearly been broken MANY times on top of the facial and knuckle scars 😆) once they got closer and were looking for a way to back-peddle 😆
uhh no def top 1 this is my favorite song to listen to while doing absolutely nothing but while playing something i prefer my own summer and "good god" by Korn.
Saw these guys at Ozzfest in '99, one of the best days of my life. What a line-up: Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, Deftones, System of a Down, Slipknot, Static-X, Fear Factory, Coal Chamber, Pantera, Slayer, Primus, Godsmack, etc. My two friends and I were walking around during Sabbath and saw a couple of guys riding bmx bikes. One of the guys busted his ass and we started to laugh but then realized the two guys were Chino and the drummer (forget his name). At first they denied being who they were but after talking for a minute they realized we were real fans and then shot the shit w/ us for a good 10-15 minutes. Even gave us autographs!
Welcome to the club, my friend. So much Deftones to love. The best part is - if you come upon a song you don't care for, go to the next one and it'll be something totally different 🤘

Arguably the best track on arguably their best album. Deftones enters through the ears, blows your nuts off, curls your toes, creeps back up your brain stem & makes your head feel good. Rest in peace, Chi.
Trust me, even if you know English, most Deftones songs are difficult to interpret. lol But this one is special and simple. You just want to get away from everything with a special someone. You want to leave your problems, your hometown, to just start again somewhere else. :)
I'm a 27 year old who only just now found Deftones and man...This music has captured me. The last week or so I've had Around the Fur on repeat non-stop and now White Pony is the current obsession. This song though...Holy shit. Hard to put into words how amazing this band is, they have such a distinct sound and I'm so grateful to have come across their music.
The band kicking ass while Chino is singing so relaxed is what gets me in this song. It's like anxiety: your mind is on fire with thoughts but you're just walking or sitting in a chair.
The thing I love about the Deftones is that they always were and always will be timeless. Even with how they dressed, there was never a phase they can look back on and be embarrassed about. Always a class act.
I can't believe this song is from 1997. The video and music are seriously timeless. You could have told me this came out sometime in the last five years and I would have believed you. Deftones are an amazing band.
I’m not much of a metal or nu metal guy, but I always liked Deftones. For the same reason I like Tool or Rage. They’re from the 90s era, but they’re not LIMITED to it. They’re unique. Really melodic, soulful even. So yeah, it’s probably a testament to them that I’m not a metal guy but I like them, right?
To me, Deftones is like a breath of fresh air. every time i turn deftones on, or one of their songs comes up in a playlist i feel good. Deftones gives me a sense of clarity and a chance to feel free and not trapped. Every time I hear one of their songs im myself. I just feel good. i feel complete. i feel like im in another world. a world where nothing matters. you can be what you want to be,listen to any music and just not be judged.
I knew bout them for years but never delved into their music until this year. Their music fills me with nostalgia and that fire from adolescence. It's quite cathartic for me because of the arduous hours I spend at work.

Man, that riff at the beggining, this was the very first band(and probably only?) to add shoegaze and dream pop influences to the Nu Metal sound back then. One of a kind.
+ReprogrammedToHate but also they added actual hip hop elements without the novelty of spitting shitty rhymes, only incubus was able to pull that off too. dreampop metal and rap. if someone said in 1993 they were gonna make a band like that no one would believe it. how did this even happen. we are so lucky to be hearing these sounds.
+James C That's What I Love About Incubus, Slipknot,Mushroomhead,Deftones,& Even A Couple Of TOOL Tracks Have The Hip Hop/Trip Hop Influenced Drumline Is FUKCIN SIC!!!
+James C the hip hop influence was only until Around The Fur(except for the track "Back To School" which was released after". And for Incubus, they were on their peak when S.C.I.E.N.C.E. came out, after that album they were starting to limit themselves by removing some flavours and influences on every album. Not complaning, just an observation because i still like most of their albums, incluiding a couple of songs from "If Not Now, When?"

You were there for me and gave me a bunch of CD’s to get me started understanding the culture in this country. Your battle with Leukemia at such a young age was devastating. You remain in our hearts and through so much music I find you here in this track. Miss ya loco 🖤
Im sorry for your loss.❤
🫂❤️
Ok, now you're my hero
This is heartbreaking, sorry for your loss. Best thoughts and vibes for you and Lalo in the outworld from France.

I like that gesture basically saying "don't worry about my voice just listen to my kickass band"

Have fun man cherish it😀
as a fellow teen i can tell you this is prolly the best time to get introduced to deftones when we're confused and sad about how fucked up the world seems to be. i have a feeling it's finna leave a deep impression (at least in me)
Deftones got my mother through some major stuff. She was admitted to a drug rehabilitation program and I have her White Pony to listen to. She said that's all she listened too and it helped her get straight and out. Sadly she died a year later and I buried her with all of the Deftones cd's up until 2012. She loved this band.
That sucks D:. Sorry for your loss.
+Billo1281 Sorry for your loss.... hope this music can help you too.....
+Billo1281 I've lost many, I can relate. Listen to this fcking awesome music. peace to you bro.
I'm sorry for your loss, brother.
Thanks, and peace to all. Much love.
Just got out of a 4 year relationship with my girlfriend and we listened to deftones all the time. It was our favorite band. So hard to listen to it anymore but i still try.
Have you ever seen a comment like: "I wish I could listen to this for the first time again"? Well, this is my first time and this is awesome, I love it
Edit 1 year later: I listen to the Deftones usually, almost everyday, they are definitely something more.
I want to learn how to play some of them in the guitar :D
My first time listening too . They seem like an OK band.
me too! i think this will become a new obsession lol

Shivers and trembles all over. This song is up there with the greatest. It also helps that I was going out with a Canadian at the time, and we drove from her home to New York for a week of adventure. We were both massive Deftones fans.

There are things that are timeless. It doesn't matter what year it was created, the impact will be the same for years to come...
I found this song about a month ago and cannot stop listening to it. I have always just ignored Deftones. I have no clue how I made it to 35 before I gave them a chance and heard this song.
Most of Deftones earlier stuff is like that.
my mother starts tearing up everytime she sees me listening to deftones, she would have never imagined that her daughter would love deftones just like her mother at her age.. legendary band.
It means that you are good people
My grandpa tears up when we sees me lighting up the spoon and strapping my arm. We are not the same.
My uncle tears up everytime he finishes inside me. Get on MY level…
Deftones**haha
My sister yells at me when she can't find any spoons that don't have burn marks at the bottom
I have friends who don’t like metal nor rock but they like this song so much. Crazy how some artist transcend genres. If you sound good, you sound good. Big influence for sure
That's the last song, the last thing my wife and I shared... I just hope she knows how far I love her from where she.. is ..now.. If only I were her passenger, I will remain quiet and let her drive as far as the lights of love would lead us. This song warms my heart and freeze my veins at the same time. This song is life. 🇫🇷
Aww i almost teared up reading this 💔.. Much peace and respect man ✨

This town don't feel mine
I'm fast to get away, far
I dressed you in her clothes
Now drive me far away, away, away
It feels good to know you're mine
Now drive me far away, away, away
Far away I don't care where
Just far away I don't care where
Just far away I don't care where, just far away
And I don't care
Far away and I don't care where
Just far away and I don't care where
Just far away and I don't care where
Just far away I don't care

It's Christmas morning in 2000, my mom is cooking breakfast for our family and the house smells great. I'm in my room playing Dave Mira Freestyle BMX on my brand new Dreamcast. This song comes on and my 10 year old mind expands forever.

They must have been some rocker foos haha . Cheers man music is universal and that saved yo ass
'It feels good to know you're mine', gives me chills every time.

Deftones is the best!!! But you need to listen to "Glory" by SLT ....right away!!! Y'all missing out -//- !!!!!!
Fuck yeah bro best damn show of my life.

They have no “bad” albums, SNR is a sleeper and as much hate that Gore gets, there are definitely gems on that one too. Happy hunting
The band kicking ass while Chino is singing so relaxed is what gets me in this song. It's like anxiety: your mind is on fire with thoughts but you're just walking or sitting in a chair.
This song makes me feel like missing someone I never met. Or getting over a relationship that never happened
yessss!!!!!
Be honest, do you miss me???😅
The thing I love about the Deftones is that they always were and always will be timeless. Even with how they dressed, there was never a phase they can look back on and be embarrassed about. Always a class act.

Man, that riff at the beggining, this was the very first band(and probably only?) to add shoegaze and dream pop influences to the Nu Metal sound back then. One of a kind.
#Facts
