    • @LearnEnglishLab
      @LearnEnglishLab  7 лет назад +2

      Glad to hear you found the lesson useful, Myriam. The correct forms are 'in my dreams' and 'on the phone'. Unfortunately, there are no general rules for these because there is no real reason for them. For example, we say 'in + dream/movie/newspaper' but 'on + phone/TV/radio' etc. Why? No reason! They have just become habits for English speakers. So this means you have to learn these through experience.

    Sir, when we say I am at the elevator that means we are waiting nearby elevator but we didn't enter into it. And when we say I am in the elevator that means we are inside the elevator, right sir?

    Sir u said that we should use in for smaller vehicles so we can't be in a bike right so shouldn't we have an exception for bike with on instead of in?

      Probably because we explicitly sit ON a Bike!

    Is it wrong to say specifically that I'm in a college (I'm inside the college)?
