    I'm not even an A&M fan. But why did he have to enter the draft so early? He's the greatest college quarterback of all time. He made all the throws, ran all the runs, broke all the ankles, had the most emotion in the emotional game that is college football, had the swagger. I really thought he would stay 1 more year because he loved the emotion that came with the college game. But I think the A&M defense this last year kinda sealed the deal for him leaving. He wanted to win championships, and you can't win a natty with a scout team defense. College football fans everywhere will miss you Johnny. Shoulda won the Heisman 2 years in a row too.. His stats were way better than Winstons..

      he sold autographs for money.. at any given point the ncaa can re investigate and suspend him from playing which would hurt his draft stock the following year.. and wouldnt you enter if you were projected #1 overall

    • @caleb505
      @caleb505 11 лет назад +11

      Actually I'd rather stay in college my remaining two years and break records. And I personally think the NFL is rigged and just a play for money league anyways, so I hate it when college players go out early. College > NFL

    • @caleb505
      @caleb505 11 лет назад +7

      He got as many total yards in two years that most quarterbacks get in 4 years. He's playing in a faster game, a more mentally challenging game, he's up there pretty fuckin close if you ask me. It wasn't that hard to rush for 200 yards a game back in the day when your offensive line was massive and all you did was run the triple option all game long and pass maybe 7 times. Yeah a lot of great running backs came out of that period, but I highly doubt they'd have the same success in today's game and a lot of good defensive players to. But again, it's not that hard to guess what your opponent is gonna do when most teams just pounded the rock and tried a pass every now and then to try and catch em sleeping. He's up there with the greats, just face it. He woulda shattered records if he had stayed all 4 years. Oh yeah one more thing, if I remember right he was the first Freshman quarterback to ever win the Heisman...

    Not an a&m guy, nor a southerner even, but watching this dude was literally a fuckin party every single time. In terms of college QBs, he’s hands down the most special player I have ever seen, and it’s not close.

    I'm not hating on Manziel, he's an insane talent, but these A&M wideouts need their fair share of praise. I never hear anyone talk about these guys and they made HUGE plays.

    • @SuperOriginalGuy
      @SuperOriginalGuy 11 лет назад

      He threw just as accurate as any other quarterback, it's more of a question as to why they can't open as fast as other receivers, hence the pocket time Manziel has. You should thank his O-Line.

    He's the best Quarterback of all time. That's elusive over my favorite NFL QB Vick. He was electrifying. I was so angered that my Raiders didn't get him and it's no diss to carr but I watched all Texas A&M games because of Johny Football. He would have dit perfectly with the underdog team and the rowdyism of the Raiders overall. That energy in the Bay before they moved to LV would have been unmatched. It was going to scare and shock the league until they got him disciplined to winning a SB. They would have let him be him . What if huh?

    I don’t think anyone young man could handle all that stardom that Manziel got in such a short time. All of us would fail. It’s too bad. If he had discipline, and he fine tuned his fundamentals, who knows what he could’ve done. Hopefully he doesn’t let his regrets ruin him. I’m sure he struggles. I’m thankful for his good times. • @Helthurian
    @Helthurian 10 лет назад +47

    I really dont see how people can think this guy wont be great in the NFL. If you watched the Duke game you saw not only great throws, vision, and escapes, but a great leader that made their defense stop pouting and crush Duke in the next half. He's a playmaker, but also a leader. Those two things typically dont ever come as a package.

    • @Helthurian
      @Helthurian 10 лет назад +4

      You're right no one will know till he plays his first game, but id draft him because he has passion, fightback, and leadership.

    • @RangerGibsonTX
      @RangerGibsonTX 10 лет назад +5

      Raphael Rodriguez Well by that logic, A&M isnt the best team out there. Great offensive line, great QB, good receivers, pretty much it.

    • @blankname6629
      @blankname6629 10 лет назад

      Its a joke to use a game against Duke as evidence of great play. You might use tape of him playing pickup games against the student body at A&M next. haha

    • @RangerGibsonTX
      @RangerGibsonTX 10 лет назад +2

      Andy Tihonow Well football isnt anything like basketball in the sense that one star or even a couple stars usually dont make as big of a difference if the rest of the team is a bunch of mediocre players. And let me tell you, calling the aggie defense mediocre is a compliment. They were dreadful. Duke was a balanced well coached team with good backups, and any given Sunday teams like that can win man.

    • @blankname6629
      @blankname6629 10 лет назад +1

      U think duke had a good defense? Name one guy on that defense or offense? They won games cuz they mostly played bums. R u going to say that about rice also? Manziel acted like a fool against rice cuz he knew they were all bums and he had two stud olinemen that would not allow any rice player to touch him.

    • @YepThatsHim

      lurchipoo He didn't say toughest, The conference that the browns are in have some of the biggest a strongest players in the NFL. Its a tough conference, especially when you are the browns. The browns have a solid offensive line though. If Johnny can learn to not run as much, he'll be fine. He might not even play his first year. Brian Hoyer still holds the starting job.

    Welcome to Ohio, Johnny. I was hoping we'd land you. Now let me give you some advice. Don't get cocky. I've seen QBs get chewed up and spit out here, good QBs. It's the most physical ruthless division in football, Expect guys to try to take your head off it's shoulders. Expect guys to go low. Protect yourself, or kiss your career goodbye. Throw the ball away when you have to. Slide when you should and get out of bounds when the plays over. The NFL game is played at a faster speed. These are men, not boys. Learn the offense and everything you can from Hoyer. He gets the ball out fast, you should too. This is the perfect situation and offense for you. I believe you can do it, and do it well. Good Luck!

    • @tokr72

      ***** Thanks bro, I wish. if it were me, I would have taken JF at 4, or 8 after the trades. I wouldn't have taken the risk of him coming off the board and losing out on picking him. But we got a shut down corner in Gilbert, Johnny Football, and an extra first next year out of the whole deal. So I can't complain. We got lucky.

    This kid won't last. Most plays he runs erratically, the arm is weak, and the hype surrounding him. I really really hope I'm wrong, but playing in the cold of Cleveland, that division, in the NFL, I'm sure their will be unspoken bounties on his head. I can already see him on the biggest draft bust countdown-But like I said, I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

    • @YujiFuuma
      @YujiFuuma 10 лет назад +4

      Its his erratic running that throws people off so much. While it probably wont be as effective in the NFL its not whats going to be his problem.

      ivydude13 How small he is. Not height but body. If he does get hit its going to hurt a lot. Other then that I think he is going to be a great QB. Once he learns the difference between NFL and College he will be set. Of course thats just my opinion.

    • @Gump-tion
      @Gump-tion 10 лет назад

      YujiFuuma I agree, those hits will hurt a lot. He'll have to learn how to protect himself like Russell Wilson, and not go crazy like RG3.

    It's funny because more than half of these clips are him running the ball. You'd think that when the browns drafted him they would have realized that he wasn't going to be able to run all over nfl team's defenses like he did in college. Also he is way more likely to get injured when he did try running the ball in the nfl and that's never ok in the pros.

    Johnny Manziel is a Play Maker, not a QB.
    His options were in Texas A&M,
    1. Find Mike Evans
    2. Run
    Tampa is the only team that could afford spending their 1st round pick on him. There is too much depth in other positions in the first round.

    Is this guy gonna get picked or not? Players are answering the phone at HOME with the news they've been picked, and he is still sitting near the podium as if he is gonna be the top pick. It is 10:40pm New York time, over 2 & 1/2 hours into this, and that asshole is still just sitting there(drinking more & more bottled water when the camera is on him). The number 21st pick, HaHa Clinton-Dix, just went to the Packers.
    And Johnny Asshole just opened another bottle of water. At least he has the top bladder in the draft. But that's about it.

    Yet another 22nd overall pick that is a bust for the Browns......
    This kid won't last in the NFL, the players are too smart to fall for this scrambling tactics and no, Kaepernick, Newton, Luck, RG3 and Wilson don't scramble anywhere near as quick as Manziel does on a play. In the NFL, 1 foot in front of a receiver is a completion, 6 inches in an incompletetion and anything less is an interception. He can not make that throw and he won't last 3 years.

      Kevin Hurney #realitygonnareality Johnny isn't going to last. Every running play I saw him do, I asked myself "would that hold up in the NFL?" and over half the time, I saw the guy getting annihilated. Nearly every passing play was made thanks to his receivers getting separation, which is MUCH harder to do in the NFL.
      The guy is an awesome college football player. But the best college team couldn't match up against the worst NFL team in any aspect of the game. I hope he works well for Cleveland, but I just can't see it, especially with Gordon possibly being out for the year (his only real saving grace).

      Alex Bailey I dont think anyone will ever make it in the NFL ever again according to your thinking. For one, its quite obvious you never watched his games. Two, Gruden was even impressed and said he was one of the best at "threading the needle" or getting the ball in the receivers hands in tight coverage. He is regarded as the probably the best college QB in history at extending plays and as Gruden also commented, one of the best QBs he has ever seen at being able to make throws from any position on the field without having to setup the throw.

  • @goldgriffin100

    Lets see what we got here, amazing scrambler especially his ability to keep his feet ( and even slip tackles ) and keep plays alive with explosive speed ( he is running away from guys ) accurate even while running, moving to his left and while going down, Has touch on his passes that many atheletic QB's lack, also shows incredible awareness finding receivers and blockers from every part of the field. What I didn't like was seeing him try to fight through tackles ( go and/ get out bounds or he will end up like RGIII did ) and earlier in the video from his freshman year he threw against his body several times while these were highlights Im sure there were low lights of him throw interceptions doing that, but later in the video you don't see that so he can even learn, change and grow from his mistakes. But the most impressive part of this video was at the end where showed passion and leadership with that pep talk in front of his team. Really this guy is going to make a lot of so called smart people look like fools when they pass on him.
