      @@horrorhands879 It´s some pretty gnarly, twisted artwork ... "Reek of putrefaction " and " Symphonies of sickness " are the titles of the 1st two albums. As a kid in the 80s/90s that music was pretty extreme ...(one of the ,if not The )precursors of "Grind core "/ "Gore Grind ".

    It’s a rough one, for sure. I also think it’s Dora’s best film. Best shot, acted, sound , story, everything. I like his other ones, but this one definitely shocked me with how well done it was. Cannibal really drags for me, and Melancholie is more of a gauntlet-style watch. I love the way Carcinoma just gets worse and worse until, by the end, it finally descends into this hellish sequence (with his mother, no less). Watching your physical reaction while you watched the film very much mirrored my own.

    • @horrorhands879
      @horrorhands879  27 дней назад +1

      There’s definitely some filmmaking merit in this one. I agree, Cannibal did drag. Need to try and find a copy of Melancholie. The ending to this one was almost unbearable! Thanks for watching!

    Holy crap! I have esophageal/gastric cancer stage 4..already spread to the liver...have had 11 chemo sessions and one more to go July 2nd...with a subsequent ctscan on July 9th to determine any progress...positive or negative.
    My last CTscan 2 months ago showed some positive progress...but the side effects of chemo are awful..so tired all the time...mouth sores that make it painful to eat and chew..Have lost 45 Lbs since diagnosis. The results of this new CTscan will determine if I decide to continue with treatments..Just filed a will yesterday just in case.
    How this video came to my feed ..I have no effin' idea!....Huge horror movie addict.,with a 500+ DVD/Blu-Ray/VHS collection and 100's more of digital/Divx..yes I also own "Cannibal".
    Just ordered "Carcinoma" from Diabolik(Last copy left!)...Can't wait to receive it!!.I guess this is just one way to cope with m,y possible killer.

    I'm different I guess. I find extreme horror boring. I know it's not real. I like a horror film with a good story and acting. It doesn't haven't to be gory. Often psychological horrors are the scariest. In my view. It was interesting how you reacted to it, though. It's not a film that would interest me. But thanks for sharing your experience with us.

    • @horrorhands879
      @horrorhands879  29 дней назад +3

      I agree. For me, gore takes away from the film instead of adding. Shock value for me is a sign of a weak plot. The best horror films are often the least violent ones.

    Great video, HorrorHands. Dora is really an interesting case. I've seen this and a few other films he's made. They seem to be a mash up of gross-out Deodato and German literary romanticism. I'm not really sure what he's going for. Gross out cinema? Art film with a pinch of philosophy and literary theory? Maybe just a giant dollop of realistic gore and violence? Again, great video.

    There is a line in the film Witness in which the Amish father tells his grandson " What you take in your hands , you take in your heart " .. The scene was referring to a handgun the kid was playing with . I think of that line when considering watching these type of films . " What I take in with my eyes I take into my heart . I have learned some things I've viewed I am unable to un-watch . I avoid films that's sole purpose seems to have been made to scar your soul . I am NOT a religious person by the way . Just a man who has seen enough terrible events in my life to friends and family that I don't see a need to watch this type of movie for .....................entertainment ??? Next, the head gets chopped off with a sword, and someone plays with the blood spurting out of the freshly - beheaded corpse with their fingers twiddling the spurting blood and other bodily juices.
