You are the first person ive ever seen recommend The Perfect Host!! It truly is a gem, and its crazy to see ‘Frasiers’ younger brother pull off such a great creepy role 😂
FRAILTY was one of those films I simply managed to catch on late night TV when I couldn't get to sleep. I had never heard of it (as far as I can tell, it had never been fully marketed or publicized), but it completely took me by surprise ... as in being gobsmacked. Superb performances all the way around. And Paxton, as director, pulled it off with flying colors. The stunning finale was movie magic.
First time coming across your channel, and I subscribed, and dropped a ding, because I like the lack of theatrics, and just the straight talk and simple demo. Great job on you boss.
Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, The Collector, Deadstream, The Deep House, Malum, The Ritual, The Babysitter, Resolution, The Endless, Slumber Party Massacre remake, Psycho Goreman, The Final Girls, Fallen with Denzel Washington and Better Watch Out are horror gems.

Frailty was one of a kind, amazing movie!!!! If no one hasn’t seen it,and like a good mystery, that is the one.All the others i haven’t seen, and will definitely look into, and probably check out…
Frailty is a BRILLIANT movie and is in my top 10 of horror type movies. Bill Paxton is mesmerising to watch and it's a crime that he was taken from us too soon. Watch it, you won't regret it.
Frailty is amazing and one movie I always recommend to people. Saw it in the theater and it was a blast. The Perfect Host is also a treat … haven’t seen the rest but I’ve heard of them so I’ll check them out.
The very fact that you mention My Heart Won’t Beat… tells me right away you know a damned fine Horror movie when you see one and that all the rest are certainly worth the time to check out.
Oh, wow! I love this list...I am always looking for horror I haven't seen, and this list is one of the few where I haven't seen most of the movies (I've seen Frailty, but you were very right to include this on the list. It is an underrated gem). I am so excited to check these out!
Just realised that I watched Frailty back when it came out and gave it 8/10 on IMDb, which is very high for me. The Perfect Host was on my watchlist already after watching WYWF (another 8/10), but I bumped it from 6 to 8 after rewatching it with the assumption that "The Agency" had agreed and knew full well about the replacement and it makes it a much better film.
Awesome list! Totally gave me vibes similar to Silence of the Prey-that same intense suspense and eerie atmosphere. If you're a fan of films like that, these are definitely worth checking out!
I have to say, I've never seen any of your videos before. But this video on 5 Must-Watch horror movies was so good, I am now subscribed and I'll be checking out more of your videos soon. Well done.
The movie Night Visitor from 1970 with Max Vonsydow, Liv Ullman, and Trevor Howard is one of the best, unsettling and a bit psychotic. Classic 70's horror and excellent.
Frailty has been a favorite of mine since release. I remember building it in the booth and after previewing thinking iot was going to go places. It's pretty sad that more people haven't seen it, but the people who have have nothing but good things to say about it. Bill Paxton played his role masterfully. Everyone in this film is awesome. Sure do love peas... I think the only one I haven't seen on this list is the first one, "My Heart Can't Beat..." so I will have to check that out for sure. I am also baffled by the Intruder poster choice, but most trailers have a large chunk of the endings in them, too. It kills me. I miss vaguery in trailers. Movies are so much scarier when you're put in the position of not knowing what is about to happen, and in my opinion, could save/change a lot of negative opinions on some horror movies. Anyway, great video.
I have just seen your Suspiria movie poster. I’m Italian and now I feel to be haunted by the beard. What a beautiful channel. To cite you, what a solid channel!! ✌️
I've seen 3/5 and you have great picks man. Frailty has always been underrated. It's hard to believe Bill Paxton has been gone over 7 yrs. I think the first role I saw him in was "Chet" in Weird Science. RIP... Can't wait to watch the other two and thanks for a great channel! Fear the Beard!
i’m gonna check some of them out and just see how much our tastes align. the first one you mentioned and how it has a sense of believability reminded me of my unpopular opinion that the candyman does that. people look at me like i’m crazy. but the first scene he presents himself in and helen waking up covered in blood in that girl’s kitchen just felt absolutely real to me. anyway… thanks!
I have seen INTRUDER, loved it! Didn't realize the poster gave it away, will have to go back and look, lol! But yeah, great horror I'd never heard of until a few years ago!
Swedish 2018 kinda folk horror film....Border...on Tubi now. Story by same author as "Let the right one in", a personal fave....Border is just whacked and grim, but quite original. Highly recommended.
Wild dude I found your child just by searching for best horror movies and OMG THE RIGHTEOUS IT'S GOT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST HORROR MOVIES I'VE EVER SEEN THAT MOVIE IS SO INTENSE AND BEAUTIFULLY BEAUTIFULLY SHOT THE CINEMATOGRAPHY THE STORY EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT MOVIE WAS INTENSE THANK YOU SO MUCH WHAT A GREAT MOVIE I LEFT THE ONLY COMMENT AND I ONLY HAVE FOUR LIGHTS ON I CAN'T BELIEVE IT EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH THIS MOVIE IF YOU LOVE HORROR MOVIES THE RIGHTEOUS GREAT MOVIE
You picked some VERY good ones. I haven't seen the first one, but saw the other 4. Based on your taste of the other 4, I'll be watching the first one. Thanks and SUBSCRIBED! (Primarily because you had The Perfect Host and Frailty on the list)
You are such a great reviewer! I just found you and have seen a couple of these and you are spot on! Subscribed and will be watching your recommendations! Thanks!! I needed some ideas on what to watch!
@@TheHauntedBeard you’re welcome! Shared your channel with my other horror fan friends! Lol We are always looking for a good movie or hidden gem to watch and discuss!
The Suspiria poster in the background = an instant sub from me! These all look fantastic and are now on my list (the only ones I know of are Frailty and The Perfect Host, but somehow I've never seen them). My personal hidden gem horror list: - The Empty Man - The Eyes of My Mother - The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears - November - Honeydew - Final Prayer (aka The Borderlands) - The Wailing (probably not so hidden to those familiar with South Korean cinema)
@@TheHauntedBeard If you like Suspiria/Argento/giallos in general I think you'll dig The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears! It's a modern art house homage to them, and the visuals are nearly as beautiful as Suspiria. And if you have an appreciation for black and white cinematography you'll be completely enamored with November and The Eyes of My Mother! The Righteous caught my eye more than anything else for that reason.
@@TheHauntedBeard Incredibly. Norman Bates met his match with the lead in that one. I threw on your top 100 horror movies video while I was doing things around the house and you included three of my top 10 favorite movies of all time (not just horror but all time: Pi, Inland Empire, and Suspiria). Was also thrilled to see I Saw the Devil, Kill List, and As Above, So Below on there, as well as the other Lynch ones. Rad taste🤘 Added Ghost Stories and Evolution to my list!
Wow, some pretty deep cuts there. I like to think of myself as pretty well-versed in horror and Frailty is the only one on your list I've seen, or even heard of.
Frailty is amazing! Intruder is so much fun! I will look for the others and watch them. Thanks for the recommendations. Also, The Usual Suspects is one of the best movies!
Great name for your channel!!!...all those creepy crawlies I see in your beard are awesome!!!...my favorite films are 90 min. or less...and all of these except The Righteous are available for free which is great...thanks very much!!!...great information/presentation!!!...\m/
New to your channel. There's only 2 movies on the list I haven't seen and I plan to watch immediately. Thanks so much for this list. New sub and I look forward to more of your movie recommendations! Horror is definitely my favorite genre and like you I love religious horror.
This is the only one of these videos I’ve ever seen where I haven’t seen a single one, you’ve earned yourself a new fan! The only one I’ve even heard of is Frailty, but I know NOTHING about it. Have you seen Resurrection?
@@TheHauntedBeard I expected as much from a man who clearly has great taste based on everything I’ve seen. On the other end of the spectrum, what about I Saw the Devil?
I love horror movies and watched them ever since I could remember and when I was a kid I would obviously get scared, but by the time I was 13ish horror movies just stopped scaring me, they didnt hold the same weight. Then I watched Frailty and it didnt scare me the same way as other movies but it did scare me in the sense that I was like wow this could REALLY happen and its not some supernatural bs its real people with real sickness. I still recommend Frailty to this day.
I need to do Perfect Host again, I tried it once and just couldn't get into it. In fairness, I didn't make it very far at all. Thanks for the reminder.
Thank u for being careful to not spoiler things! I hate lists like the what culture ones where there’s no point in watching the mentioned movies because they pretty much tell you the whole movie! I hate that. I feel like I just watched 10 whole movies in 6 mins! I’m subscribing to you right now because of the fact that you are careful to recommend without ruining! 🙏 Thank you 😊
usually lists like this will be: "5 horror movies you never saw" and the list contains mainstream movies that any horror fan has seen. Haven't heard of the first three movies you recommended, so thank you.
9:12 FBI Special Agent played by the iconic Powers Boothe. Frailty is so underappreciated for the performances alone. Paxon is amazing! And the story is unique in my experience.
Frailty was a movie I was gonna recommend for you to see and it was your number 1, haha! The Invitation (2015) is a movie I’d recommend too. Hidden gem kinda.
@@TheHauntedBeard I need to think of a movie you haven’t seen…Upgrade? Sci-fi thriller…Event Horizon? Sci-fi horror…I See You (2019) psychological horror…have you seen those?
I just watched The Perfect Host based on this video. Oh Lord what a cool movie. Couple flaws but overall a cool movie and a knock-out performance by Niles Crane
For reasons unknown I've been saying 'f*ck me in the beard' since I watched Knocked Up in 2007. Since I'm a girl it usually gets a laugh or two.😊 Seriously though, I'm so glad I found your channel. Also, I absolutely love 80s horror. If u get the chance, watch Bad Dreams (1988). It's so good, and surprisingly not cheesy at all.
Frailty is my hidden gem. Go in blind. The less said about it the better. Less. I love My Heart Can't Beat and Perfect Host. I'll give the others a try.

Couldn't agree more! It's a favorite!
It was so good! RIP, Bill Paxton! I realized he was in so much stuff I have watched duirng my childhood and adolescence without knowing who he is!
just watched it. what a gem
The way people speak of him - if you've ended like that you've done great.
Great actor, great director - Frailty is a great film
For a very disturbing Bill Paxton horror film, watch Near Dark.
I’ve seen 4 of these so your title is a lie. I’ve called the police.
Haha. 👮♂️
Excellent response, this man needs to be arrested for lying to you over the internet 🤜🏼🤛🏼

Supremely underrated film

I can recommend No-one Gets Out Alive (2021) and The Old Ways (2020).
Hell Yeah. Frailty is one of my favs. Just incredible Story and acting.
I've seen tons of horror movies. Not seen two of the movies in here. Thanks much! Subbed.
Thanks!!
I have to say, I've never seen any of your videos before. But this video on 5 Must-Watch horror movies was so good, I am now subscribed and I'll be checking out more of your videos soon. Well done.
Thanks!
Frailty is still one of my all time favorite movies.
Frailty & Fallen are a great Double - Feature!
Yep for sure. Good call.
Frailty is such a great re-watch. I watch it all the time
The movie Night Visitor from 1970 with Max Vonsydow, Liv Ullman, and Trevor Howard is one of the best, unsettling and a bit psychotic. Classic 70's horror and excellent.
I just looked this up on IMDb. It looks great. Thanks for the recommendation
Fraility is a GREAT movie. I'm going to have to check out The Righteous, as it sounds like just the kind of movie I like. Great video!!
My heart can’t beat unless you tell it to - barely 2 minutes into the video and I’m sold. Great pick off jump 👍🏼
Off to watch Frailty now!
OMG, The Perfect Host is SOOOOOO much fun! Also, Frailty is brilliant.
Agreed on Frailty, and you make the rest sound intriguing, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Frailty has been a favorite of mine since release.
Thanks!
I just watched Frailty last night, for the tenth time. Always, a good watch.
I saw that movie as a kid in HBO late night. Kinda played a role in my fascination with horror.
I have just seen your Suspiria movie poster. I’m Italian and now I feel to be haunted by the beard. What a beautiful channel. To cite you, what a solid channel!! ✌️
@@LordVals thanks!!
Great video, some actual deep cuts here. I also appreciate you working hard to keep it spoiler free.
@@GraveyardghouI thanks!
Wow. You really delivered on the hidden gem aspect. These went right on my “To Watch” list.
Glad to hear it!
No black and white movie is as beautiful as Eraserhead. I could wallpaper my surroundings with every shot.
😁 yea I’ll give you that
I would have to agree. Also throw in The Painted Bird into that category.
Thanks for these suggestions! I've seen the david Hyde pierce film before and loved it.
Thanks!
Thanks Beard, I've seen "Frailty" a few Times a love it, so looking forward to see your other picks
Hope you enjoy
i’m gonna check some of them out and just see how much our tastes align.
the first one you mentioned and how it has a sense of believability reminded me of my unpopular opinion that the candyman does that. people look at me like i’m crazy. but the first scene he presents himself in and helen waking up covered in blood in that girl’s kitchen just felt absolutely real to me.
anyway… thanks!
@@robbiewilliamson357 hope you enjoy
I have seen INTRUDER, loved it! Didn't realize the poster gave it away, will have to go back and look, lol! But yeah, great horror I'd never heard of until a few years ago!
Heard of Intruder, own Perfect Host and Frailty on blu-ray. Good list.
Swedish 2018 kinda folk horror film....Border...on Tubi now. Story by same author as "Let the right one in", a personal fave....Border is just whacked and grim, but quite original. Highly recommended.
Only one on here ive seen is frailty, which speaks highly of your taste! Subbed.
@@Zae-ee4tb thanks!
New monthly member! I enjoy your channel.😀
Thanks so much Kathy!
Frailty is the only of these 5 I’ve heard of an I really enjoy it. The other 4 I am definitely interested in now. Thank you for the recommendations! ❤
@@darkur13 enjoy!
Frailty….jackpot. Phenomenal movie
You picked some VERY good ones. I haven't seen the first one, but saw the other 4. Based on your taste of the other 4, I'll be watching the first one. Thanks and SUBSCRIBED! (Primarily because you had The Perfect Host and Frailty on the list)
Awesome! Thanks!
New subscriber from Barcelona!! Love horror films! Love your channel! Congratulations 🎉🎉
@@anemar7179 thank you!!
You are such a great reviewer! I just found you and have seen a couple of these and you are spot on! Subscribed and will be watching your recommendations! Thanks!! I needed some ideas on what to watch!
thanks a lot!
@@TheHauntedBeard you’re welcome! Shared your channel with my other horror fan friends! Lol We are always looking for a good movie or hidden gem to watch and discuss!
@@bonitadiablo that’s awesome! I appreciate it.
The Suspiria poster in the background = an instant sub from me! These all look fantastic and are now on my list (the only ones I know of are Frailty and The Perfect Host, but somehow I've never seen them).
My personal hidden gem horror list:
- The Empty Man
- The Eyes of My Mother
- The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears
- November
- Honeydew
- Final Prayer (aka The Borderlands)
- The Wailing (probably not so hidden to those familiar with South Korean cinema)
Thanks! Yea I've seen some of yours. Final Prayer is really solid, and The Wailing is great!
@@amandapanda1010 Yea The Strange Color...has been on my list to watch for a while. I've seen Eyes of My Mother, I liked it, very disturbing.
@@amandapanda1010 Right on! thanks.
Wow, some pretty deep cuts there. I like to think of myself as pretty well-versed in horror and Frailty is the only one on your list I've seen, or even heard of.
Frailty is amazing! Intruder is so much fun! I will look for the others and watch them. Thanks for the recommendations. Also, The Usual Suspects is one of the best movies!
yea hope you enjoy those other ones.
Great name for your channel!!!...all those creepy crawlies I see in your beard are awesome!!!...my favorite films are 90 min. or less...and all of these except The Righteous are available for free which is great...thanks very much!!!...great information/presentation!!!...\m/
😁 thanks
New to your channel. There's only 2 movies on the list I haven't seen and I plan to watch immediately. Thanks so much for this list. New sub and I look forward to more of your movie recommendations! Horror is definitely my favorite genre and like you I love religious horror.
Awesome! Thanks!
Interesting list. I've only seen Intruder and Frailty. Haven't even heard of the other ones. Thanks for the recommendations.
Hope you enjoy them!
@@TheHauntedBeard
Cheers.
This is the only one of these videos I’ve ever seen where I haven’t seen a single one, you’ve earned yourself a new fan! The only one I’ve even heard of is Frailty, but I know NOTHING about it. Have you seen Resurrection?
@@heathkish6901 yes! I have seen resurrection. Love it!
@@TheHauntedBeard I expected as much from a man who clearly has great taste based on everything I’ve seen. On the other end of the spectrum, what about I Saw the Devil?
@@heathkish6901 yep really like that one as well. 👍🏼
@@TheHauntedBeard I am very pleased by this! While I got you here, does your love of horror extend beyond films, like books for example?
@@heathkish6901 yea. I’m a little more into mystery/thriller books but I do like horror books also.
Good selection I've seen all but 2 which I will definitely be checking out, cheers.
Thanks!
I love Intruder! I’ll check out Perfect Host and the righteous. Great vid! 🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥
thank you!
Niles? Niles crane???? Awwww
He is superb in it. Great film.
In the mouth of madness is another unknown great horror movie.
One of the greatest unseen, underrated movies - Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
I agree
Recommendation duly noted
I need to do Perfect Host again, I tried it once and just couldn't get into it. In fairness, I didn't make it very far at all. Thanks for the reminder.
Great list! Subscribed 🎉
Thanks!
Johnny Hendricks got so chill
🤣🤣
First time at this channel, you did fine job😊
@@DavidSmith-rc7hs thanks!
Thank you! Have 3 new to me movies to watch! Subscribed.

I own The Perfect Host, and Frailty. Looking forward to checking out the other 3 you mentioned, particularly The Righteous, I really like Henry Czerny
Right on! Hope you enjoy it.
Okay Haunted Beard, you got my attention. Good video, subbed.
awesome! thanks!
You sound (ALMOST EXACTLY) like "Brock McGoff" on RUclips.
Thank You for the List, Recommendations and Video 😀
Haven’t heard of him. Will have to check him out. Thanks!

🙏 Thank you 😊
Thanks a lot!
Highly recommend oddity and caveat if you wanna be scared by creepy.
usually lists like this will be: "5 horror movies you never saw" and the list contains mainstream movies that any horror fan has seen. Haven't heard of the first three movies you recommended, so thank you.
9:12 FBI Special Agent played by the iconic Powers Boothe. Frailty is so underappreciated for the performances alone. Paxon is amazing! And the story is unique in my experience.
PS: Paxton was in a number of excellent small films: Frailty, One False Move, and Near Dark among them. RIP
Didn't know any of these, thanks for the recommendations! They all look very interesting
Hope you enjoy
Oh,and DON'T watch the trailers for INTRUDER either, because they totally give away the killer as well, not sure if you mentioned that too.
God I love Frailty, man what a shocking ending!!
Frailty was a movie I was gonna recommend for you to see and it was your number 1, haha! The Invitation (2015) is a movie I’d recommend too. Hidden gem kinda.
I love The Invitation!
@@TheHauntedBeard I need to think of a movie you haven’t seen…Upgrade? Sci-fi thriller…Event Horizon? Sci-fi horror…I See You (2019) psychological horror…have you seen those?
@@rubes84 yea I’ve seen those. 😁
I have seen frailty a few times with the great Bill Paxton, the others I will have to add to my list.
I just watched the Borderlands from 2013 British found footage. As Larry David would say " prettyyyy, prettyyy, prettyy good"
Yep that’s a good one.
Add "Eyes of Fire" and "From Beyond".
The perfect host reminds me te French film Barracuda, which I watched many years ago but I cannot forget. Recommended!
new sub here! always looking for new movies to watch so I appreciate the suggestions! thanks!
Thanks for the sub!
I loved Frailty. It tells an amazing story
I just watched The Righteous thanks to your video. Utterly gorgeous movie. It killed me.
Frailty is top class
Bought the righteous outright when it came out and it was the best impulse purchase of that year. Mark O’Brien has talent to spare.
Nice! Yea I can’t wait to see what he does next.
Frailty is my favorite movie of all time
Blood River 2009 is one that would fit on this list.
Thanks I’ll rewatch Intruder as saw it when 14 lol now I’m nearly 50 and cannot remember
The perfect host is one hell of a movie
I just watched The Perfect Host based on this video. Oh Lord what a cool movie. Couple flaws but overall a cool movie and a knock-out performance by Niles Crane
@@Lopfff glad you enjoyed it
Wow dude, nice work new sub.

Ya telling its a sub genre clearly tells its not a horror
U did a great job in not spoiler alert
@@rs9130 what film are you referring to?
For reasons unknown I've been saying 'f*ck me in the beard' since I watched Knocked Up in 2007. Since I'm a girl it usually gets a laugh or two.😊
Seriously though, I'm so glad I found your channel. Also, I absolutely love 80s horror. If u get the chance, watch Bad Dreams (1988). It's so good, and surprisingly not cheesy at all.
😂😂thats great! thanks for the recommendation!
Have you seen any of these hidden gems...
1) Case 39
2) High Tension (french horror)
3) Fear Street parts 1-3
I’ve seen fear street but not the others

A really good selection.

Frailty is my hidden gem. Go in blind. The less said about it the better. Less.
I love My Heart Can't Beat and Perfect Host. I'll give the others a try.
Honestly thought this was Jules from WhatCulture
