Honestly, LongLegs didnt do it for me as a horror movie (quite the let down for me personally)- however as an arthouse thriller, it excelled in its storytelling and cinematography. Worth the watch for its artistic endeavors but not even close to being the scariest movie of the year, let alone the decade 😅.
Longlegs turned out to be over-rated rubbish with Nicolas Cage in a grotesque rubber mask. Clearly aiming to produce some Silence of the Lambs ‘vibes’ with the female FBI officer on the trail etc. The nasty NC self-mutilation scene - head banging against the table till bloody and dead - brings to mind the very similar scene in Talk to My Hand which I would say is mimicking rather than homage.
yup, that's how I feel exactly... however I do need to watch it again, I admit I wasn't fully paying attention, but yeah it was my highly anticipated movie, wasn't really what I expected
I like the look of heretic.. its good to see him in a different roll other than always playing the love interest .. also speak no evil looks good i love that actor he was great in split ! Latency looks different and somewhat relatable 4 a gamer ..

I just saw Alien: Romulus today, I thought it was a very good addition to the series. For being an Alien movie minus Sigourney Weaver it was pretty awesome. Cailee Spaeny did a great job I thought. I hope she comes back for a sequel if there is one.
You know when someone shows a preview you should show the good parts of the movie like back in the day it doesn't spoil the movie just makes me want to watch it 😁

The Substance is one of the best movies I've seen in a minute. Something about body horror just creeps me right on out. Demi Moore's best performance. Margaret Qualley is great, too. Dennis Quaid is a disgusting POS, but amazing at it. This movie will leave you shaken. If you can make it through, the last 20-30 minutes is absolute bonkers chaos. People that appreciate top-tier cinema, trust me...this is a MUST!
Try the movie Humane, its a very very good movie! I loved every minute of it, it kept me on my toes the whole time and the humour in it is really really well done. (and i usually HATE comedy in horror) Its probably one of the best movies ive seen all year I was disappointed with the inheritance (i was really hyped but it was so cliche is wasn't funny. I did not enjoy it that much. Longlegs i am so so devastated with! they could have made it so so much scarier as Nicolas cage was truly creepy in this movie! It felt like i was waiting for something to happen the whole time but it just never did..... I cannot wait for bagman!!!!!! 😁
I was not a fan of smile, it was a half-ass movie that somehow got a lot of advertisement and was the number one selling horror movie of that year. But there was way better choices
I absolutely agree about the first smile movie. It was so boring and I kept getting distracted by anything else it could be a fly that flew by me and it was more interesting than the movie but I will say at least this second one looks interesting hopefully it won't flop like the first

Even though they’re Hollywood movies like Longlegs and Speak No Evil, I gotta say I wasn’t really surprised by them. Honestly I didn’t like them much sometimes I actually prefer indie films they seem to have better quality and story. Since they’re independent, they put more effort into giving the audience what they want. I’ve got high hopes for Its name was mormo even though it’s an indie film it’s left me really intrigued

I should have added to my first comment that for me, it is one of the best movies of this year, along with A Late Night with the Devil. I respect what you all are saying, but for me, the movie is amazing! My friends and I had a great time while watching it. It did keep me engaged the whole time, and I also have to say that I loved the character Andy. The actor did a magnificent job to the point that it made me feel like the main character was a support character. I didn't have any issues when they were speaking, but some of my friends had the same experience as you. So that might be a bigger problem than I thought. Not between us, my least favorite part of the movie was the last creature. It just didn't do it for me. However, my friends said it was super scary. So I guess that's also up to personal preference. Talking about preferences, I enjoyed that they went back to their roots! I can also see why that might be bad for others. That's just not the case for me.

I seen inheritance and it was actually kinda good like the movie where the girl married into the family and has to draw a card from the box, if it's a good card she gets to live if it's bad the whole family hunts her down. Definitely watching Matt Smith's new movie and the Russel Crowe movie. Basically any Blum house production movie ends up being amazing.
