Awesome list!!! The Shining is my #1 horror film too! You asked for other suggestions… Burnt Offerings (1976) Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things (1972) Pumpkinhead (1988) Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (1973) Ghost Story (1981) Carrie (1976)
Great List! I'm happy to see you put some classic Hitchcock films on it! I think Rear Window deserves a spot though. I would include "Oculus" and "The Cabin in the Woods" in my personal top 10!
Thanks!! Yea Rear Window is my favorite Hitchcock but don’t consider it horror so didn’t put it on this list. I made a top 75 mystery movies list, Rear Window is on there.
I’m half way through this and it is really enjoyable. A very broad spectrum of variety. Theres about 8-9 so far listed that I haven’t even seen yet and I have my own top 500 favorite horror film list lol. Very well put together, greatly detailed, and informative.
Shout out for having Exorcist 3 and The Changeling on the list 🙌 Just recently watched Ghost Stories. Highly agree it needs to be viewed by fans of the genre! Respect for your top 5 👏👏
Good list. A lot of stuff I hadn't heard of or really considered. I found your channel when I was looking for someone decent to review 'When Evil Lurks'. That's near the top of my list even though it is still quite new.
Great list and video!! My only critique (which I'm sure you had to do it for time's sake) I personally wouldn't have minded hearing a brief review of the movies that were just visually listed with the music as sometimes I listen to RUclips while multitasking (thank you YT Premium). But I know you must've put a lot of effort and time into this, I would love to challenge myself to even think of 100 horror movies I've seen, let alone rank them! Again, awesome job and video!
I also like the Chainsaw version with Mathew Mccognahy and the one with Jessica Biel. Jaws is my all time favorite movie, and I can be a bit of a snob sometimes. I consider whatever happened to Baby Jane a horror I love and even hush hush sweet Charlotte. Enjoyed the video .
Great list. New subscriber. Some good hidden gems here I'll have to check out. Speaking of which, I may have missed them, but what do you think of Dead calm, The gift, Ginger Snaps and the Descent? They're my fave hidden gems. I also love the original Final Destination and Urban Legend.
I seriously can't tell you how happy I am that Resurrection (2022) actually made it to #29!! I'm also a horror and thriller film addict who's seen COUNTLESS of these kinds of movies, but I can honestly say that VERY few films have gotten under my skin the way Resurrection did. In my opinion, it should have Hereditary's reputation among horror fans. It's THAT fucking good!!!
Great list. There's a couple I haven't seen, but I added to my list. I'm 47 and seen almost everything. Lol. I love a very, very wide variety of horror and have favs in almost every sub genre from the beginnings of horror to the present. It's nice to see someone who "looks like me" to be so open-minded and enjoy films regardless of what others say or feel. I'm a political nerd, along with horror films. It's all subjective, but it's nice to see someone with open mindedness and not judging films based on "woke " or "race" or "political views." Live and let live. I don't judge, or at least try not to, but it's good to see a fellow man like myself choose the films you did. I love all the ones you listed that I've seen, plus literally thousands more. Hope you get my point here. 🤘
Forgive me if I missed it, but I'm a little surprised Mulholland Drive wasn't on this list. 🤔 Loved the video, though! You're quickly becoming one of my favourite movie review channels, and even RUclipsrs in general. Keep up the fantastic work! 🔥
Hey thanks a lot! It wasn’t on the list. I made a video last year Top 75 mystery movies where I included movies like Mulholland dr and Seven. I didn’t want to repeat those. Probably should have mentioned that in this video. But I do love Mulholland dr.
Amazing list! Also found some great recommendations.. but I didn’t understand are the movies ranked from least favorite to most favorite? Or is it just a list of 100 movies you like in no particular order? Anyway great list!
I love love LOVE this variety thats throughout the list! So many underrated movies or movies I haven't seen yet! Seeing The Witch at 11 is making me ready to put it on right now, thanks!
Fun fact, Pinhead was not the intended antagonist of the Hellraiser movies. It was Claire. Her descent into madness and evil is my favorite part of the movie.
Leading up to halloween last year I did a marathon of the classic monster movies. Some were really great. Others were a struggle to watch. But as a horror fan, I'm glad I did it and paid my horror dues. You should definitely take the time and do it.
I was surprised by what I didn't like. I thought the Frankenstein movies would be a slam dunk for me and they ended up close to the bottom of my list. I think you would like the invisible man. The core of the story is applicable to modern day. Dracula's daughter was a surprise hit for me too.
So many of these movies I haven’t seen. Movies that would make my list that weren’t on yours would be Orphan, Killer Klowns, Trick r Treat & Leprechaun.
Good ranking bud , really refreshing to see that it didn't contain Get Out or Nope so over-rated , US tho is a great movie , my no.1 is The Thing and thank god you put it in your top 10 but yeah good list 😊
There's another horror musical that I absolutely love. Anna and the Apocalypse It's a high school zombie Apocalypse Christmas musical and some of the songs are fantastic.
I got annihilation from my local dollar 💵 tree 🌳 for a total of $1.33 not bad right by the way I'm lovin your amazing list & I'm watching on Monday July 22 2024 keep up the great work I can't wait to see more like this from you p.s. Oh my god, the **FILLER** is strong with this list. I don't think horror fandom is competitive or anything but the thought has occurred to me... Did you just start watching horror films last year? And you copied the pre-1990's films from other Greatest Horror lists?
