You just spoiled Frailty!! Dude!!

After watching Frailty I remember not being able to sleep for days and it was pretty much due to the main characters disturbing fanatic beliefs great movie but sort of stays in your mind.

The Haunted Beard knows of what he speaks! Just saw The Righteous. 4 **** stars, highest rating. Joe Bob sez check it out.

The Suspiria poster in the background = an instant sub from me! These all look fantastic and are now on my list (the only ones I know of are Frailty and The Perfect Host, but somehow I've never seen them). My personal hidden gem horror list: - The Empty Man - The Eyes of My Mother - The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears - November - Honeydew - Final Prayer (aka The Borderlands) - The Wailing (probably not so hidden to those familiar with South Korean cinema)

Just as a note, the original Friday the 13th was actually told from the POV of the murderer on a number of occasions. Just saying.

I have seen frailty a few times with the great Bill Paxton, the others I will have to add to my list.

For me, all the choices in the film, like the acting and pacing, are so clearly deliberate that the movie isn't bad in the way people are saying, it just comes down to taste. And, what really makes me love it is the self-awareness the film has, in a very different way to films like Scream. I'm a huge fan of this movie.

The Witch for me is in my Top 5, but glad to see its #11 on your list.

The horrible acting took me out of it.

Was just going to comment about how i love the remake better, and happy to see theres already a few other comments here that feel the same way, i thought i was alone in that idea lol.... obviously original is a classic, but my god i rewatch the remake all the time. one of my top 10 fav horror films.

I just watched the Borderlands from 2013 British found footage. As Larry David would say " prettyyyy, prettyyy,prettyy good"

Grow abs not beards. But aside from that nice recommendations. Pity they're not elaborated upon more, this is a video with a title that says : "must watch", which naturally begs better explanation than many iterations of "I promise it will pay off".

A few folks I know have this on their Best Horror Movies So Far This Year list, so I had to check it out. It's a fun found footage creature feature, but that second end credits scene is silly. 🪄

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, The Collector, Deadstream, The Deep House, Malum, The Ritual, The Babysitter, Resolution, The Endless, Slumber Party Massacre remake, Psycho Goreman, The Final Girls, Fallen with Denzel Washington and Better Watch Out are horror gems.

For me it was above average + I quite enjoyed a lot of it, so I did look over what I viewed as weaker points. The one thing that gets my attention is that I didn't really see it as "the killer's perspective"... I mean, yeah, geographically it may seem that way, but it was always like the camera was peeping into this world and that's why we couldn't really see fully developed characters, because we were too on the outside to get to know them (or even the killer, for that matter) but at the same time, not in an omniscient viewer kinda way. It felt almost like the forest's point of view, actually. That being said, the characters were pretty stupid, but I think it was almost intentional. The ending I hated, HATED, but the movie in general was quite solid. I gave it a 3.5/5 in Letterboxed (7/10)

I liked the premise and had a couple of good kills that actually made me laugh but just too much walking and story was not very interesting IMO! Interestingly some of it was filmed in my area!

Impressionable kills for the slasher genre was worth the watch. 🎥 I see Alfred Hitchcock dvd set in the background, do you have a top 10 Hitchcock ranking? If I could watch any movies for the first time again it would be Hitchcock.

I got a 'hidden gem' suggestion for ya: Mister Frost [1990] with Jeff Goldblum. check it out.

I also gave it a 5/10. Definitely didn't hate this movie, it's got a lot of great parts but yeah it doesn't do enough with following our slasher character. I liked the part where he sat down behind that tree so he could play with a toy car for a few minutes, because he's a lot like Jason from Friday the 13th in that he's very much still a child mentally, even though he's a hulking monster. The movie felt like if David Lowery and Ti West were arguing about how to make a good slasher and that conversation somehow became a real movie.

I understand the yoga kill was brutal.. but the wood splitter scene was so damn terrifying to me. It wasn’t just gruesome, it was psychologically painful to watch. I can’t believe so many reviewers don’t even mention it.

I can recommend No-one Gets Out Alive (2021) and The Old Ways (2020).

I loved this movie but yeah Dame that's disturbing on whole other level from most Horror movies 😳😰😲😦😮🫨😵‍💫🫣 I know a young couple who have a Baby and Had a Glass table I say had because as soon as I watched the movie I had to tell them to get rid of the table because of this movie they watched the movie and got rid of there table the next day Thank God 🙄

I JUST watched it. I laughed when you mentioned that you were saying, at the end, over and over "oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!" Because I was saying, out loud, "Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit!".....this has to be one of, if not, the most disturbing movie I've ever seen. The culmination of everything into one completely horrific end scene....I definitely wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone who has anxiety issues.....at all.

Swedish 2018 kinda folk horror film....Border...on Tubi now. Story by same author as "Let the right one in", a personal fave....Border is just whacked and grim, but quite original. Highly recommended.

“On the other side of the box” was the first short horror film I watched. It sets the bar pretty high. Happy viewing if you check it out 🍿

Frailty is still one of my all time favorite movies.

The folks who rely on RUclips for $$ really don't like Deadstream. I loved it. Everybody knows that guy. We knew him in high school, where he peaked. It's honestly funny.

I would consider 'the man in the alley' to be a manifestation of part of Diane's psyche; like the mystery man in Lost Highway, is a manifestation of part of Fred's deranged psyche.

The movie Night Visitor from 1970 with Max Vonsydow, Liv Ullman, and Trevor Howard is one of the best, unsettling and a bit psychotic. Classic 70's horror and excellent.

Channel Zero is like syfy channel's version of American Horror Story with each season being an anthology but all in American Horror Story set in the same universe with the same and new actors are brought back to reprise from a previous season coming back and seeing them pop up in another season and playing new characters.
