    Hi Dave, I had the pleasure of meeting you on the beach, you gave me a lot of your time, which I really appreciate, instructing me on how to pump those lug. It was my first time and I was struggling at first, you make it look so easy, but with your valuable knowlege I started to get the hang of it.
    You also had a go of my pump and was getting worm after worm, at the same time you gave me your pump to have a go of, it was super smooth handling, like a Rolls Royce of pumps, I did manage to get a couple worms while using your pump.
    While you was instructng me on how to use the pump, you were very generous in giving me the worms that you were pumping at the time. You are a genuine nice man, I learned an awful lot and meeting you made my day.
    Thank you, hope to meet you on the beach again one day. All the best Russell

      @@hastingsangler Hi Dave, I know the tides are not great this coming week, but i'm down Seaford way this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, was wondering if I can get on Hastings or Prett Level beach, would it be worth it, will the tide go out enough, don't need many worms just want to get some practice in.
      I'm really itching to try some more bait pumping. What do you think. Will I be wasting my time. Thanks Russell.

    Hi Dave, It’s Russell met you on Pett Level beach you showed me how to bait pump. I made some silicone seals for the 22 mm copper pump I have made. They don’t fit to well. Need to make them with a hole in, don’t have enough drying time now.
    I’m coming down to Pret Level in the next few days,
    Was wondering if I could buy a couple of seals from you if I see you on the beach.

    Oh mate!! I pump here too. We've probably crossed paths in the past. You ever fished for bass here? at low tide I mean.. :) Sometimes it can be an incredible session (I won't lie sometimes it's rubbish). For the seals in the pump I started using closed cell foam.. the stuff sold as garage mats in halfords works well. I used to cure that silicon sealant in the tube to make neat washers but for pumping it needed constant adjusting with the nut. I never squeeze the guts out of the worm. If the worm has split from the pump i'll chuck it to the gulls. A living worm outfishes a squeezed out one by miles in my experience at least for bass. Keeping them alive in water is a bit of a pain though! All the best..

    • @hastingsangler
      @hastingsangler  2 месяца назад +2

      Hi Mark we probably have mate i often wondered what the fishing is like there seen so many people fishing there but never caught yet another person told me it fishes well 1 day i will have to try😀👍😀 if im fishing low tide up and pumping worms i always keep the worms alive but i found them pesky eels love fresh worms lol tight lines mark👍😀

    • @marklloyd6433
      @marklloyd6433 2 месяца назад

      @@hastingsangler I don't mind a eel! I find it fishes well but only 1 hour either side of low and you need a long cast or an absolutely exhausting wade out. I've spoken to others who say the bass are right at your feet but honestly sometimes its like only a foot of water even 70 meters out and I haven't had any luck when so shallow. Night time is best but as you can imagine when the tide starts flooding in and you are out there in the pitch black it's not what you would call really chill fishing! If I see you out these I might come say hi!
