I not one to jump on the “you need this ruler” bandwagon, but my gosh, that Easy Angle ruler is a GAME CHANGER!!! What a time saver. Thank you so much for recommending it.
Wow this is an game changer I love the glue method so much easier, I mean yes it takes some effort but it makes the binding look so much more finished ,and binding the ends together 😮 ok I’m doing this every time thank you so much😊😊😊. It just goes to show that your never too old to learn something new 😊

I've done the trick with the Elmer's glue for my binding. I LOVE it! I no longer fear the binding. My last 2 quilts that I did that with, the binding has turned out great! Much easier to sew. Thank you.
I almost scrolled past this video b/c I don't have much trouble with bindings. I am so glad that I took the time to watch though. I usually attach bindings to the front and hand stitch to the back mainly because I haven't been able to successfully do it to my standards by machine. I really like cutting the 45 degree angles before stitching the strips together. I also appreciate how clearly you showed how to join the binding ends together specifically how to keep them from twisting. I hate it when that happens...even once is too much! I can clearly see how much the glue basting and pressing helps❣️ Thank you so much for your time. I will be watching more of your tutorials.

I am a former smocking and french hand sewing instructor. 49:41 When teaching classes my students often said if they learned nothing else they learned to iron. Was making a fidget quilt today and do like to bind but have always thought I did a better job putting it on from the front. Not anymore , four good corners . Thanks for your help. Probably should watch Video 1and 2

I tried the binding technique with a glue stick and an iron. It was so much easier to manage at the sewing machine. I need to find the precision tip Elmer’s glue because the appliqué stick glue I used didn’t hold in some areas for some reason. Once I sewed the binding to the back and flipped it to the front, I did a decorative stitch all the way around and I loved the way it turned out. Thanks for all the wonderful tip and techniques!
When I iron my binding, I wrap it on a piece of cardboard (such as a comic board) as I go so that I don't have a huge tail to deal with as I'm ironing. This way it is also held neatly when I move between my ironing area and my sewing machine.

I have just started small projects and binding has gotten me down till now. I actually got three great corners and a not really bad one so thank you for your series. I learned a lot.
Thank you for the close-up of your sewing. I've tried this back to front method, but the back sewing was not very straight. I may have try again. When I sew front to back I do a lot of pinning. And I sew on the front in the ditch. Check the back about every five inches to make sure the back binding looks decent.
I use liquid school glue (as well as tube glue) and recommend getting (plastic) needle point tips for more economical larger bottles. I also got a Left Compensating Presser foot (higher on right so it rides on the front fold) and LOVE it. (Generic that fits on my Baby Lock).
40 years I have had stacks of unbound UFO’s because of the one process I found extremely disagreeable - trimming the corner off the binding strips after joining on the bias! The cats got involved with the strips, I’d cut myself, binding would get tangled…HATED that one simple step. I never thought of trimming the corner FIRST and then joining. 🙄 Thank you for this brilliant suggestion!!!

Tried the glue method on my first table runner (brand new quilter) and it worked great! Can’t wait to try it on my next project!
