At first few seconds, I said "nothing special in this, I can do that" then I heard the guitar said "there's a lady who's sure", OOOK this is great. Great lead Sir.
I was doing some work in a church recently, and just in general conversation the preacher said disparagingly, one of his congregants wanted to play Stairway to Heaven in church, which he thought was laughable. I took out my phone and played him some of this version, which I think is one of the most beautiful I have ever heard, he agreed.
12 years ago when I started learning guitar, my teacher taught me to play your song "I Miss You". Years go by, I'm happy that both you and my teacher are still well even we've gone through the covid pandemic. Wish you had a happy Christmas holiday with your family :)
Dear Miss Sunshine. Thank you. 12 years ago, huh? Wow! I suddenly feel so old. I hope your teacher bought the sheet music/tabs from me instead of using illegal copies... ;-) I am happy your teacher and you are still well. Happy holidays! Per-Olov Kindgren
I know this guy he is my guitar teacher. He plays with both Heart and soul. He is excellent at guitar and is a very kind man. You should not hate he is just trying to make you feel comfortable with some music. And yes there are better guitarist in this World so if you want to listen to them instead then go ahead...
I have just been diagnosed with high blood pressure and put on low dose pills - a perfect reason to listen to even more of your wonderful music every day. Thank you for it. BP will be normal soon. All best wishes, Margaret B.
Dearest, not a good reason for listening to me... but I hope it can help your BP to go down a little. Relax and think of someting green. That's what my mother always said to me. It helps! :-) Love, Per-Olov
I’ve been watching this video 10 years. Sometimes I repeat it 2 or 3 times. I just realized that I never hit the like button, and I can’t believe that!! Dude, your playing is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this with the world and inspiring so many people with your great talent and work! Bravo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wow, thank you! I am very happy to know you have been listening to me through the years. And, at last, you made a comment and a thumbs up! :-) Thank you. Per-Olov
Thank You so much Mr. Per-Olov. The modern day (2016) edms and everything are really good but this music, however old it may be, is still legendary. I will always rate this higher than pretty much any music I have ever heard. The way you play your classical guitar and do so much magic with it is inspiring and beautiful!
The best arrangement for Stairway on solo guitar in my humble opinion. I always come back to remind myself of what a master-level classical style guitarist sounds like when performing "contemporary" music.
He is improvising and changing some of the timing of certain rythyms to match his preferred style of play. It is different, but lovely. Playing a great song well, and making it unique is a great feeling. It's a kind of euphoria that only musicians can understand, I think.
I'm usually not a fan of this song, I mean it's cool, I'll listen to it if it comes on the radio but, this is truly amazing, pure art, this man is... I can barely put it into words how amazing he is, and amazing is an understatement...
I remember when I found this about ten years ago or so. For some reason i remembered it out of the blue and had to stop back in for a listen. Awesome job I hope life is treating you well!
considering this a song your students asked you to play as an experiment id say its shows how well of an artist you are iv seen this video over a hundred times since almost two years ago and i still get goose bumps to this day hearing it. my hat goes off to you Leo Dekindren
Wow, this brings back memories...back when I was in high school, I first picked up a guitar that was sort of passed down from my uncle, a beat-up looking classical guitar. This was the first song I ever learned to play on it, and it still sounds just as wonderful hearing it from this man.
Per, I have been experimenting with sound for sleep... looking for music at 432hz, I stumbled on Stairway to Heaven... I have listened to (parts of) 59 versions, yours was the 60th... finally, a perfect acoustic rendition, in tune and with correct timing, no commercials or commentary... I can loop it and fall asleep to it, and I will bet this will be fantastic sleep. I have long loved listening to your music, that this is by you makes is so much more contemplative and pacifying. Thanks you!
Dios! Bellísima...Wow. Las notas de la guitarra cantan,se hacen oir y sentir. Es un Maestro !. La verdad es que transporta a uno y se revive la época en que se dió a conocer la pieza...Felicidad y Muchísimo Exito .
Wow! I love it! I practised a traditional song "House of the Rising Sun" on my guitar but I quit, because I should learn to play Christmas songs with the metronome.
That was just spectacular. I absolutely love that song and this gave me chills down my spine. The guitar solo was a bit disappointing, as it was the background part, but I understand why this was done to maintain a professional nature.
Wow, well done!...you went pretty far, and all the way before you reached the edge of the abiss!! where all hell breaks loose, lol, very entertaining, corageous, and so pretty. Thank you!
Hi Per, I've just "found" you when searching for sakura guitar arrangements. I saw your talent and opened many new tabs of your videos and waited this last one (my favourite so) to comment ! You're AWE-SOME (you might know with all these thankful comments), and despite this poor office light and dark attic, you just "killed it" your guitar passion is so tangible :) Keep on and don't change anything and also thank you !
This made me cry... OMG, he sounds just like my father did, he passed away less that a year ago. How I miss him, your music has touched my heart..I would give anything I have too just listen to him one more time...

In my experience, here definitely lives up to the first part of his last name!! One of the good guys.
At first few seconds, I said "nothing special in this, I can do that" then I heard the guitar said "there's a lady who's sure", OOOK this is great. Great lead Sir.
I don't understand why classical guitar is not as popular as rock guitar. It's sound is warm, rich in deep notes that touch the soul.
+ACamature Gee, wonder why.
Chevk out Alter Bridge - Cry of Achilles. Hard rock song with classical intro. Fantastic song.
Agree🎉

every now and then I come back to this video and I have been doing this for past 12 years.
He did a fantastic job. Whomever gave his rendition 500+ down-votes needs to have their ears repossessed! I venture Jimmy gives it two thumbs up!
Loved the version and gave a thumbs up but the missing solo made me think twice.
Kinda hard to play an electric solo on an acoustic guitar.
Sounds so nice on the nylon

I don't think I've ever heard that song sound so beautiful. Brought tears to my eyes. Wonderful.
Wow, can not believe 12 years has passed. Your music is still majestic as ever and ages like fine wine.
You don't just play this as a classical composition, it actually sings back with every pluck of a string. I can't say much more. All the Best.

Not really... I tried that once and they "forced me" to buy a cake to the staff afterwards... ;-)
