Hello. I'm a second year Japanese high school student. I love classical music. I want to play this song like you. I'll do my best until I can play. Thank you.
Sir, since I know you will read this, I must tell you: words fail me to describe this performance and arrangement. It is ineffable. You have taken a perfect piece of music for several instruments and arranged it beautifully for one without, somehow, sacrificing anything. Your expression is clear without being overly sentimental, your playing is very clean, and I hear all the voices, and the nuance. I assure you, my friend: Bach himself smiles when this plays. God Bless You
Three years ago my guitar teacher played this piece for me when I first met him. It was the first time I ever heard classical guitar and I didn’t know music such as this could be played. Today, I just finished learning your transcription of Air, and in August I’m off to music school to continue studying the guitar. Thank you Mr. Kindgren for your inspiration
I purchased the transcription to this in 2013. It took me about 3 years to learn to play it, and commit it to memory. I played it at my Mom's funeral in 2017, and have never played it since. I tried to play it the other day, and there's no way, not even remotely possible. I searched for the transcription and could not find it. There are other versions available for sale online, but none as good as this one. Finally, I found it last night on an old external hard drive. I'm so happy; I can't wait to re-learn it. I have the first few bars back, but have a long way to go.
This video is the one that introduced me to the Guitar about 15 years ago and since then i was Fascinated to the instrument. Now i’m a guitarist myself and this video is one of the reasons that i picked up the guitar. Thank you Sir for this beautiful performance
I am a pianist and when I saw this video 10 years ago, it inspired me to pick up the guitar to try to learn fingerstyle. I am still learning to play it unfortunately, but it's this video that keeps motivating me to learn and not give up
Mr. Kindgren, i've been watching your videos for a long time, im from Costa Rica, and when i had to write an essay on the most inspiring and influential classical musicians for me, i wrote about you and this piece in specific, i learned your arrangement of this song about a year ago, and it inspires me a lot, you are certainly a huge influence on my playing, i remember watching your videos and wondering if i could play like you some day, im getting better, it's been around 6 years since i picked up a guitar for the first time. I just want to say thank you, this performance of air melts my heart and makes fall in love with music every time, thank you for being such a huge inspiration, and i will always remember you master Kindgren!, i hope you are doing good, greetings from Costa Rica.
Hello old friend.... I decided to pickup guitar after a long hiatus due to health issues which led to severe depression which is why I am back on this page because playing guitar always made me happy so going to start playing after many years off. Specifically classical even though I am a blues and metal guy. Going to learn this song and relearn Bouree. I have the sheet music I purchased from you years ago and wanted to hear you play first to get motivated and first thing I noticed your replied to someone just hours ago. That means you are still alive & well and still doing what you love. Awesome to see you still chatting with your friends. That alone lifts my spirits. Your sheet music in tabs was amazing and I kid you not after I bought it like 8 years ago a month later I played Bouree note-for-note from just your tabs and your video. Your transcriptions were spot on. Gonna take at least a month to get that muscle memory back but so what. Keeps me sane and in the moment and it's hard to worry about sh*t when I stay focused. Learning this new song will bring me some much needed serenity . Thanks again for the video. Makes learning this music using your tabs easy at least for me. This song is so beautiful and peaceful. I highly suggest any of your fans & friends reading this buy Per's tabs if you are willing to put the time in to learn it. And once you learn a song play it everyday for life or as often as needed to stay in muscle/brain memory. I will post again once I learn this with a link of me playing on YT. Be the first video I uploaded with guitar. Now I am being held accountable because I put this out to Universe. Bye for now🙏
Dear Bob. I am glad to hear you are recovering and that you start playing again! Please stay this way! Yup, you just committed yourself in public! No way back now! :-) Play again. Next to love, music is the best! All the best and stay safe! Per-Olov
I really love the work of JS Bach, we all know how beautiful this song is, and i think of all the acoustic versions of this song the most beautiful one was played by you, the passage is full of soul and i can't stop hearing it 🥲

I’ve tried playing this so many times. As a guitar teacher it is so humbling to hear and see this performed by a master, without flaw and with such incredible depth.
17 years ago, this is crazy how long ago it was... I had now a short reminder in Facebook, that I have posted it in my profile 13 years ago! Very beautiful played, thanks!! :)

hello sir, I'm back again after 8 months. I'm listening to your guitar with serenity and this song for some reason has a place in my heart. I'm struggling with my mental state right now. I'm not doing well, and I've been physically ill for 1 year and maybe mentally ill for 2 years. I've been on medication more than 10 times but it's not getting better. I saw the expensive medical costs and the financial condition of my parents worsened since the pandemic, I began to endure this pain alone. I endured this pain alone and I cried alone. I only tell what I feel to other people, but I don't tell why I am like this, what is the problem. I thought if I told them they would laugh at what I said and I'm so scared of it. I thought "maybe I'm just dramatic", then I thought if I'm dramatic why does this wound hurt so much. sometimes I hate other people, if I tell them they will say "everyone loves and cares for you", but the truth is I feel like I have no one. even to my nearest and dearest people, I feel they are far from me and I am alone. I know that all this is not my fault, but I always repeat something that they says is not my fault. and why am I talking here because this song, this song is like telling my little heart to be patient and believe that everything will be fine. several times I feel sad when I listen to this song, but this song calms me down in difficult situations. I don't know if you read my comment, but at least I just want to say that your guitar playing is very good and thank you for calming my heart in this very difficult situation. Thanks again sir if you see this ❤ .
Hi Alfi, I always read my listeners comments. But I don't always reply. (I have to practise my guitar too... ) :-) I am sorry you have health issues both physically and mentally but I am sure no one is laughing at you if you tell them. I hope you will get better very soon. Meanwhile music is a great "healer"! When I'm feeling sad or bad, music helps me a lot. I hope it can help you too. All the best! Per-Olov
Learned from this video 15 years ago, now youtube have kindly reminded me of this video again. I just went back 15 years. Ive watched it 100 times then to catch the moves.
Why is this still such a good song after 13 years- I think I have just stumbled upon a masterpiece while searching for songs played on the classical guitar
I'm not a believer, but when it comes to Bach (and other famous composers) I have the impression there is god inside those notes. The way it draws pictures inside your mind and the feeling in your heart - it's sorta magical.
This is so great! I can‘t explain my thoughts and feelings. I can only try: it‘s mind-blowing to hear that grand piece that is composed for an orchestra to be voiced by a single guitar, and yet all its greatness can be conveyed. At the same time, it sounds more intimate, but still like from heaven and full with love.
Love to see this piece so frequently listened to even you uploaded it almost 12 years ago. Young as I am, I'll keep this piece and my guitar with me for my whole life.
I've heard this air hundred times, so I wasn't expecting much, but your interpretation blew my mind. Very delicate, very sweet, very groovy. I love it.
This video has been in my favorites playlist for years. Tonight I returned to de-stress because I’ve seen some disturbing things and needed something to help relax. So grateful this is here.
I must have watched this more than 10 years ago when I started playing guitar in 8th grade. I loved it. I watch it now, 26 years old, and find that I love it even more now, appreciating music more. Absolutely wonderful playing, sir.
I 'm coming back to this video since years now and everytime anew i can't hold tears back because of your beautiful and emotional playing. This is one of my classical favorite peaces from J. S. Bach and i've never seen or heard a better performance of this. Thank you Mr. Kindgren. You realy understand what music is meant to be.
Perfect sir! Adjetives are so shorts to describe your performace. I've listened this piece over and over again since 7 years. It's the best around the world.
The fact that you're still answering comments 15 years later made my day !
;-) Thank you.

Hard to believe that somebody wrote this music. Amazing.
It was written by Bach 🤦♂️🙄

I 'm coming back to this video since years now and everytime anew i can't hold tears back because of your beautiful and emotional playing. This is one of my classical favorite peaces from J. S. Bach and i've never seen or heard a better performance of this. Thank you Mr. Kindgren.
You realy understand what music is meant to be.
This is one of my favorite covers of all time. Brilliant work sir.

I'm happy that you dont' have any advertisement! God bless you!
Thank you! I have been offered a lot of money from RUclips but I HATE ads so I have declined every time. Glad you appreciate it!
Perfect sir! Adjetives are so shorts to describe your performace. I've listened this piece over and over again since 7 years. It's the best around the world.
THey're not too short in german: this was außergewöhnlich hervorragend und überaus lobenswert :)
