Jesus said I lay down my life so that I may rise it up again. He also said He is the resurrection and the life. So infact He ressurected Himself so He is God. His divinity NEVER DIED, got it?

I've read volumes of his along with the writings of Mrs. White and they all agree with the Bible EXACTLY on the eternal preexistence of the Word-Jesus. What I always like to bring up is when Jesus confronted the man that had a legion of demons in him. The demons, and not just one but many demons recognized Jesus as son of the Most High God and begged not to be tortured. How could a demon be so scared of a man unless he had a higher authority than him or even created him. We can also assume that they were present when Jesus created the earth and all things.

So, we are to believe that James and Ellen White somehow had a different understanding of the Godhead yet were united in the great work and labored together for the salvation of souls? That would make no sense at all. James White was an avid Non trinitarian and spoke boldly against that doctrine and taught that Jesus was the literal Son of God. According to today's SDA GC, we are to believe that Ellen White, being a prophet, somehow put this difference aside about the Godhead (the most important commandment according to Jesus Mark 12:28-34) and was totally unified in the work of the ministry with her husband. Or, that being a prophet taken in up in vision once believed like her husband, but then all of a sudden became a trinitarian.

"In the beginning of his way." Meaning Jesus and the father are both from eternal past. Jesus is from the same beginning as God, meaning eternal. Because God has no beginning
To all who are searching for the truth, do a simple study yourself. Go to the New Testament, that's a good place to start, and look at every where the word "God" is used . And ask the question, can that word be replaced with the word Trinity. That's what the church is teaching. It's teaching that God is somehow three in one including the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, "God the Holy Spirit". And somehow these three are one but yet they are three. Romans 8:31-34; 1 John 1:3-7; 1 John 4:8-10; 3:21-24; 4:1-2, 7-14; Revelation 21:22-23; Philippians 4:19; Ephesians 4:4-6 ; 1st Corinthians 8:4-7; Mark 5:7; James 2:19; Mark 1:24; Mark 13:11; Luke 4:41; Philippians 4:6&7; John 1:18; There is a few to get you started. The fact is, in none of these verses could you use the word Trinity instead of the word God. The Trinity is a lie. "God is the Father of Christ ; Christ is the Son of God. To Christ has been given an exalted position. He has been made equal to the Father." 8T p 268. The good news is, we have a real Heavenly Father who loved us so much that He sent His real, only begotten Son into this world to become the second Adam, so that all who believe can be saved! We can be born again! And Jesus, who is the divine Son of God, chose to come to save us. Oh what love they have for us!

Unfortunately, Doug Batchelor is mixing two verbs and declaring them the same. To beget and to create are two different things. No one would say that God begat the world; nor would they say that Isaac created Jacob. This, of course, is only one fallacy presented in this video.
Did jesus only come into existence at birth in bethleham, there no real logic in that argument, you would think that if jesus had to die a terrible death he would be first asked if he would be that person to take the sins of the world on his being.
Hi Pastor Doug, I believe that all the bible is about Jesus, our finite mind is so limited, we can't even comprehend the deep truths of the word, though it is possible through the Holy Spirit. Now, you made mention that Proverbs 8:22-25 had nothing to do with Jesus, however EGW in Patriarchs and Prophets under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit had something else to say, just thought to share it with you. We're not all-knowing and we can make mistakes because we're mere mortals. Doug has wrongfully accused those of us who reject the doctrine of the Trinity. We believe just as the early SDA church taught. Notice here below. This question below was sent into the R&H. One possible argument referring back to Proverbs 8 is that, if this is a prophecy of Jesus, maybe we are misinterpreting the phrase 'brought forth'. Think this way. Brought forth could mean 'revealed'. When was Jesus officially 'brought forth' (but still eternal)? Well, one answer would logically be at creation (of man, or angels). God revealed himself to his angels at their creation, God revealed himself to humans at their creation. Therefore, Jesus' "birthday" (brought forth day) would be the same as the first created being. This is because he never had to be reveal to anyone before this. ("Tore from his bosom" would be basically a metaphor, it is a little too heathen sounding for me to take literally. )
“These people” believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit OF God and OF Christ, as the Bible says. So Pastor, you deny the SoP? She was in error? Re-read P&P chapter 1, noting reference to Prov 8. In study of His word, you disregard His words making your own determination to what must have been. The sins of babylon are about forcing unbiblical beliefs on people, so they will not be armed against Satan with a strong understanding of God's word. Paul said there is one God, the Father. The Pope said there is one God, the Trinity. The Heruli and Ostrogoths said, "so the Trinity gave his only begotten son? How does that make sense?." The Papacy said they taught Jesus was a created being. Babylon means confusion. So they murdered all who would not accept their confusion. Andrews said the Trinity is the wine of babylon because it destroys the personality of God. He said that in 1855, the same year he taught Ellen White that the Sabbath starts at sunset. In 1905 Ellen White says our doctrines have been established in the last 50 years. That 50 years begins in 1855. Ellen White never used words like "Trinity" or "triune God" or "God the son" or "Co-eternal" or any of these words relating to trinitarianism. But she does reject trinitarian teachings when she uses the term "personality of God". The triune God is a pagan God, an invention of the Catholic Church, which originates from the pagan teaching that "all gods are one God". The Catholic Church has stated that the Trinity is centrial doctrine of the Catholic Church, on which all her other doctrines are built. That's the doctrine they use to uproot two of the three horns. The Trinity is referred to as "He" in the 28 fundamental beliefs. Ted Wilson said the Trinity is the Lord God Almighty. But, who is the Lord God Almighty according to Elen White? The Father. Just like in the bible. She said the personality of God is a pillar of our faith, and she said the personality of God is everything to us as a people. It's what separates us from the Catholics. Ellen White said the angels were created but Jesus was begotten. But, Doug Bachelor rejecting the personality of God and the sonship of Jesus is like William Miller rejecting the Sabbath and like Peter going with the circumcision group. Even legendary evangelists make mistakes, and God is glorified in forgiving them as He forgives all of us for our errors. Adventist leaders have made the wine of Babylon a test of fellowship and have planted the flag of the Pope in our church. They are the ones who have troubled Israel, as Elijah said. But all this is in fulfillment of prophecy, so they have an out if they are willing to repent.
Let's see what the inspired writings of Sister White says on this subject so that we do not make any mistakes. Notice that she distinguishes "creation" from Christ being "begotten" and that Christ was "made" (not in the sense of being created of course). "God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son,"-- not a son by *creation*, as were the angels, nor a son by adoption, as is the forgiven sinner, but a Son ***BEGOTTEN in the express image of the Father's person***, and in all the brightness of his majesty and glory, one equal with God in authority, dignity, and divine perfection. In him dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. {ST, May 30, 1895 par. 3} The Eternal Father, the unchangeable one, gave his only begotten Son, tore from his bosom Him who was ***MADE in the express image of his person***, and sent him down to earth to reveal how greatly he loved mankind. {RH, July 9, 1895 par. 13} Doug Batchelor, I would love to hear your thoughts on these quotes, because not many are aware that these quotes are out there, helping us to not mistake what the Bible says.
He was "MADE" on this Earth...but ETERNAL in Heaven. BTW the HOLY SPIRIT is a SHE or FEMALE, according to Ellen G. @Kevin Johnson That's because Parakletos (Comforter) is a he. It is simply Greek grammar. Sister White normally calls the Holy Spirit an "it." God is not an "it." We must not confound God with His Spirit, otherwise it violates our pioneer pillar of the personality of God, which means that God is a personal being in heaven and is not Jesus or the Holy Spirit.

@Kevin Johnson What you are saying and citing cannot disprove that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God rather than a God-Being. If we were left to those Scriptures alone, it could be either way. The Bible tells us how it is, and Sister White testifies to the truth, but if we read with Trinitarian glasses on we will not see the truth.

First of all Jews believed that they were sons of God, just like in Christianity we believe that we are sons of God but the difference with Christ was that he meant it in a very different way(literally claims to be the Son of God) that’s why they wanted to stone him. Secondly, if they wanted to stone him because he claimed to be the Christ it wouldn’t make sense whatsoever because he committed no sin, so if he did not commit any sins how can they stone him for being a false Christ because even Pilate said that Christ committed no sin. The only reason that they crucified Jesus was because he said that he would come down in the clouds of heaven to judge the people and they saw that as blasphemy because we not God can judge the world, so if only God can judge the world what does that make Christ? The Father and Son share in the same Nature as God. Modalists and Arians see with one eye closed. Jesus is God, yet also distinguished from The Father. He shares inseparably in The Father's Nature with The Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 3:20-21; John 15:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:5-9)

Jesus is equal to the Father in essence and nature, but the Father is greater because He is the principal cause of everything. Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, so in relationship Jesus is less than the Father, just as a human father has authority over his son. All that the Father has is given to the Son, therefore we can say that Father and Son are equal.
Philippians 2:6 in the King James version says that Jesus “thought it not robbery to be equal to God.” However, the New American Standard Bible translates it, "Did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped". The English Standard Version renders it, "Did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped," and the Good News Bible says, "He did not think that by force he should try to become equal with God." The word "harpazo" in Philippians 2:6 means the seizure or robbery of something that one does not possess. If it is true that Jesus thought it not robbery to be equal to God, that would be contrary to what Paul is teaching in this verse about doing nothing through strife and vainglory but showing lowliness of mind. Jesus set an example for us by not attempting to be equal to God in any way but rather humbling himself.

I think, as far as Christian theology goes, Seventh-Day Adventism has some solid doctrines, particularly on the state of the dead, Sabbath-keeping and abstaining from unclean foods. But on this one topic, I'd have to disagree. I admit; there are some difficult verses, and the majority of them are in the Gospel of John, which if I'm not mistaken is the latest of the Gospels. But regardless, there are some difficulties I'd like to see responses on. In Mark 10:18 and Luke 18:19, Jesus asks and states, "Why do you call me good? No one is good, save God alone." (If Jesus, in John's Gospel, did not mind proclaiming himself to be divine, why would he have made statements like these in Mark and Luke?) In John 17:3, Jesus calls the Father the Only true God. John 14:28, Jesus says the Father is greater than he. John 20:17, Jesus says he is ascending to his God. How can God have a God? How can God be the God of Himself? Matthew 24:36, Jesus says that only the Father, and not the son, knows the hour of his return. How can God not be all-knowing? Revelation 1:1 states that it is "the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him..." How can Jesus be given a revelation if he is God? Hebrews 4:15 states that Jesus was tempted in all points as we, but James 1:13 says that God cannot be tempted by evil. 1 Corinthians 8:6 states that there is one God, the Father (and even though is describes Christ as an instrument of creation, it does not identify Christ as God)

What's beginning? I thought God didn't have a beginning. The truth is that it's talking about ever since Jesus was begotten he was with the father. You believe Jesus is Michael because your founders were Arians. That is why you have so much in common with Jehova Witnesses. The only problem with this is the controversial word 'trinity'. The word Godhead which is used in the bible to represent the existence of the three co-eternal persons who exist as one Lord God should have never been replaced with trinity. The origin of the word comes from Tertullian, a Latin theologian, who coined this word to represent the tri-unity of God but in subordination, where the Father is greater than the Son. To compound this, the Catholics have adopted this word long before in their own corrupted doctrine of the trinity, which is an attempt to destroy the nature of Christ, claiming that he was born in a sinless nature & that Mary had an immaculate birth. Yet another Catholic doctrine that so boldly contradicts the bible (Rom 8:3 & Heb 2:16,17). You need to stand clear of that word in the proclamation of the deity of Christ.
Look up "Godhead" in your strong's concordance. It simply means divinity, or deity. Divinity is manifest in three persons, but that is not what "Godhead" means, nor does it make God three persons. God is one person. One cannot be a Seventh-day Adventist, according to our original pillars, and believe that God is three persons. The GCSDA is not truly a Seventh-day Adventist organization, only nominal.

If Christ was not fully & equally God, even as the Son of man, then he could not be worshiped nor could have been acknowledged with the divine title of God. Will you believe in a creed or will you believe what the original Seventh-day Adventist church believes? The Bible teaches God is one person and so does the Spirit of Prophecy. To depart from that is to apostatize from the truth. I'm afraid that too many are trusting to Trinitarian creeds and they read the Scriptures and SOP with Trinitarian glasses on. I fully accept all you've shared with us. My question then is this: Jesus spent a lot of time praying to 'His Father'. We are taught that God became man that we may be saved. Jesus is my Savior and Lord. I don't believe Jesus was created but, if God became man to save us, why did Jesus spend most of His life praying to the 'Father'?
Jesus, in His fleshly form, showed us how dependency of anyone upon the Heavenly Father is vital! Also, it shows how intimate His relationship was with His Father. This was His source of strength right to the point of total separation at cross, due to sin.

Think about it: when God, through Christ, created Adam He took from the substances that He had already created and put them together to look much like them (the Father and Christ). When Christ was begotten, although the Bible does not tell us how, we know that a begotten son comes from the person of the father. For us humans, it takes male + female but for God it does not. We don't know how the Son was begotten but I think we can take God's word for it that He was. The Bible says he came forth from the Father, and was sent.

John 1:1-3 is speaking of the creation of this world. Begotten is not created. Doug needs to stop adding his private interpretation. Proverbs 8:22-30. {PP 34.1} Pastor in his sermon said that Jesus refereed to himself as "THE" "I AM". Did he really? Let's see what the Bible says. In Exodus 3:14, God "calls himself", I AM. Was Jesus also "calling himself" I AM in John 8:58? According to most Christians, including SDAs, it is believed and taught that Jesus is saying in John 8:58 that he "is", I AM. John 8:58 is translated as follows: Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Is Jesus really claiming "to be" I AM? Let's read another verse using the same Greek words ἐγώ εἰμι (ego eimi). Acts 26:29 says: And Paul said, "I would wish to God, that whether in a short or long time, not only you, but also all who hear me this day, might become such as I AM, except for these chains." Is Paul claiming to be the I AM of Exodus 3:14 in this verse? No. In John 8:58, Jesus was just stating that he was already in existence before Abraham was in existence. We need to read in context. Jesus was NOT saying that in comparison to Abraham not being self existent that he himself IS self existent. Paul, in Acts 26:29, stated his hope that others would exist, or be, as he is. In Exodus 3:14, in contrast, God was calling Himself I AM as identifying WHO He is. And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” In the last part, the I AM is used as a noun to identify a specific person which is not the case in either John 8:58 or Acts 26:29. Jesus is God in the same way that Eve is Adam. They are of one substance. That is another study. Context is key. Many other errors in this study of Pastor Doug. We can't stop sinning now because we are still in a sinful body but when God gives us holy bodies then we will be perfect and sinless. What I always like to bring up is when Jesus confronted the man that had a legion of demons in him. The demons, and not just one but many demons recognized Jesus as son of the Most High God and begged not to be tortured. How could a demon be so scared of a man unless he had a higher authority than him or even created him. We can also assume that they were present when Jesus created the earth and all things.

That would make no sense at all. James White was an avid Non trinitarian and spoke boldly against that doctrine and taught that Jesus was the literal Son of God. According to today's SDA GC, we are to believe that Ellen White, being a prophet, somehow put this difference aside about the Godhead (the most important commandment according to Jesus Mark 12:28-34) and was totally unified in the work of the ministry with her husband.
Or, that being a prophet taken in up in vision once believed like her husband, but then all of a sudden became a trinitarian.

"In the beginning of his way." Meaning Jesus and the father are both from eternal past. Jesus is from the same beginning as God, meaning eternal. Because God has no beginning
If you read from the beginning of that chapter it is actually talking about wisdom not Jesus Christ
To all who are searching for the truth, do a simple study yourself. Go to the New Testament, that's a good place to start, and look at every where the word "God" is used . And ask the question, can that word be replaced with the word Trinity. That's what the church is teaching. It's teaching that God is somehow three in one including the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, "God the Holy Spirit". And somehow these three are one but yet they are three.

The fact is, in none of these verses could you use the word Trinity instead of the word God. The Trinity is a lie.
"God is the Father of Christ ; Christ is the Son of God. To Christ has been given an exalted position. He has been made equal to the Father." 8T p 268.
The good news is, we have a real Heavenly Father who loved us so much that He sent His real, only begotten Son into this world to become the second Adam, so that all who believe can be saved! We can be born again!
And Jesus, who is the divine Son of God, chose to come to save us. Oh what love they have for us!

Unfortunately, Doug Batchelor is mixing two verbs and declaring them the same. To beget and to create are two different things. No one would say that God begat the world; nor would they say that Isaac created Jacob. This, of course, is only one fallacy presented in this video.

Hi Pastor Doug, I believe that all the bible is about Jesus, our finite mind is so limited, we can't even comprehend the deep truths of the word, though it is possible through the Holy Spirit. Now, you made mention that Proverbs 8:22-25 had nothing to do with Jesus, however EGW in Patriarchs and Prophets under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit had something else to say, just thought to share it with you. We're not all-knowing and we can make mistakes because we're mere mortals.
Heres the quote "And the Son of God declares concerning Himself: “The Lord possessed Me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I was set up from everlasting.... When He appointed the foundations of the earth: then I was by Him, as one brought up with Him: and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him.” Proverbs 8:22-30. PP 34.1
It's definitely clear that it refers to Christ. However, I do believe that Christ was not created, For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.

They believe, also, that the worlds, and everything which is, was created by Christ in conjunction with the Father. They believe, however, that somewhere in the eternal ages of the past there was a point at which Christ came into existence.

One possible argument referring back to Proverbs 8 is that, if this is a prophecy of Jesus, maybe we are misinterpreting the phrase 'brought forth'. Think this way. Brought forth could mean 'revealed'. When was Jesus officially 'brought forth' (but still eternal)? Well, one answer would logically be at creation (of man, or angels). God revealed himself to his angels at their creation, God revealed himself to humans at their creation. Therefore, Jesus' "birthday" (brought forth day) would be the same as the first created being. This is because he never had to be reveal to anyone before this. ("Tore from his bosom" would be basically a metaphor, it is a little too heathen sounding for me to take literally. )
Proverbs 8 is talking abt wisdom being brought forth not Jesus. Read from the beginning of the chapter
“These people” believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit OF God and OF Christ, as the Bible says. So Pastor, you deny the SoP? She was in error? Re-read P&P chapter 1, noting reference to Prov 8. In study of His word, you disregard His words making your own determination to what must have been. Wait a minute, This man said in another video that Jesus is Michael the Archangel...and Angels are created! Now he's saying that Jesus is Eternal, he's always been there with the Father. That he cannot have been created! Well which one is it?

Andrews said the Trinity is the wine of babylon because it destroys the personality of God. He said that in 1855, the same year he taught Ellen White that the Sabbath starts at sunset. In 1905 Ellen White says our doctrines have been established in the last 50 years. That 50 years begins in 1855. Ellen White never used words like "Trinity" or "triune God" or "God the son" or "Co-eternal" or any of these words relating to trinitarianism. But she does reject trinitarian teachings when she uses the term "personality of God".
The triune God is a pagan God, an invention of the Catholic Church, which originates from the pagan teaching that "all gods are one God".
The Catholic Church has stated that the Trinity is centrial doctrine of the Catholic Church, on which all her other doctrines are built. That's the doctrine they use to uproot two of the three horns.
The Trinity is referred to as "He" in the 28 fundamental beliefs. Ted Wilson said the Trinity is the Lord God Almighty. But, who is the Lord God Almighty according to Elen White? The Father. Just like in the bible.
She said the personality of God is a pillar of our faith, and she said the personality of God is everything to us as a people. It's what separates us from the Catholics.
Ellen White said the angels were created but Jesus was begotten.
But, Doug Bachelor rejecting the personality of God and the sonship of Jesus is like William Miller rejecting the Sabbath and like Peter going with the circumcision group. Even legendary evangelists make mistakes, and God is glorified in forgiving them as He forgives all of us for our errors.
Adventist leaders have made the wine of Babylon a test of fellowship and have planted the flag of the Pope in our church. They are the ones who have troubled Israel, as Elijah said. But all this is in fulfillment of prophecy, so they have an out if they are willing to repent.
Let's see what the inspired writings of Sister White says on this subject so that we do not make any mistakes. Notice that she distinguishes "creation" from Christ being "begotten" and that Christ was "made" (not in the sense of being created of course).

In Isaiah 48:16 it says "I have Not spoken in secret from the beginning, from the time that SHE was (mis-translated as "IT" was) there Am I also, and the Lord God + His Spirit sent Me (sent Jesus-Christ into our world)"...so that in this verse it is Jesus speaking...so that it is a Circle a catch-22 if you will. This is also WHY the Holy Spirit is represented by a White Dove (female).
@Kevin Johnson That's because Parakletos (Comforter) is a he. It is simply Greek grammar. Sister White normally calls the Holy Spirit an "it." God is not an "it." We must not confound God with His Spirit, otherwise it violates our pioneer pillar of the personality of God, which means that God is a personal being in heaven and is not Jesus or the Holy Spirit.

The Bible tells us how it is, and Sister White testifies to the truth, but if we read with Trinitarian glasses on we will not see the truth.

First of all Jews believed that they were sons of God, just like in Christianity we believe that we are sons of God but the difference with Christ was that he meant it in a very different way(literally claims to be the Son of God) that’s why they wanted to stone him.
Secondly, if they wanted to stone him because he claimed to be the Christ it wouldn’t make sense whatsoever because he committed no sin, so if he did not commit any sins how can they stone him for being a false Christ because even Pilate said that Christ committed no sin.
The only reason that they crucified Jesus was because he said that he would come down in the clouds of heaven to judge the people and they saw that as blasphemy because we not God can judge the world, so if only God can judge the world what does that make Christ? God, so your statement is not biblical my friend.

Jesus has tried to show what the consequences of rejecting him are. But now he pointedly says: “You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father.” What is their father like? But the Jews take Jesus’ words literally, saying: “Now we do know that you have a demon. Who do you claim to be?”-John 8:52, 53.
*It is obvious that Jesus is making the point that he is the Messiah.* But rather than directly answer their question about his identity, he says: “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. *It is my Father who glorifies me,* the one who you say is your God. Yet you have not known him, but I know him. And if I said I do not know him, I would be like you, a liar.” John 8:54, 55.
Jesus now refers back to the example of their faithful forefather: “Abraham your father rejoiced greatly at the prospect of seeing my day, and he saw it and rejoiced.” Yes, believing God’s promise, Abraham looked forward to the arrival of the Messiah. “You are not yet 50 years old, and still you have seen Abraham?” the Jews respond in disbelief. Jesus answers: “Most truly I say to you, before Abraham came into existence, I have been.” He is referring to his prehuman existence as a mighty spirit in heaven. John 8:56-58.
The Jews, enraged by Jesus’ claim to have lived before Abraham, get ready to stone him. But Jesus leaves unharmed.

The Father and Son share in the same Nature as God. Modalists and Arians see with one eye closed. Jesus is God, yet also distinguished from The Father. He shares inseparably in The Father's Nature with The Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 3:20-21; John 15:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:5-9)

Colossians 1:15-19 Explained
To the believers who say Jesus is God, you are being deceived and are inadvertently blaspheming the Father. Jesus is the FIRSTBORN of every creature (Colossians 1:15) and the firstborn from the DEAD (Colossians 1:18). The word that is used is “prototokos,” which literally translates to “birth order, first born.” God, the Father, created Jesus himself, which makes Jesus the only begotten [Son] of God. Everything else was done by Jesus, for Jesus (Colossians 1:16). Jesus is the first child ever born of God. As His firstborn, Jesus has inherited His Father’s power and spirit. He has received the Father’s blessing and the Father is pleased that all fullness dwells in His son (Colossians 1:19), but man prefers to lean on their own understanding and blaspheme against God instead of accepting His word. It matters not what the world says; the truth is God created and raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus owes his life to the Father, the true Alpha and Omega. Jesus is not God.

Jesus is equal to the Father in essence and nature, but the Father is greater because He is the principal cause of everything. Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, so in relationship Jesus is less than the Father, just as a human father has authority over his son. All that the Father has is given to the Son, therefore we can say that Father and Son are equal.
Philippians 2:6 in the King James version says that Jesus “thought it not robbery to be equal to God.” However, the New American Standard Bible translates it, "Did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped". The English Standard Version renders it, "Did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped," and the Good News Bible says, "He did not think that by force he should try to become equal with God." The word "harpazo" in Philippians 2:6 means the seizure or robbery of something that one does not possess. If it is true that Jesus thought it not robbery to be equal to God, that would be contrary to what Paul is teaching in this verse about doing nothing through strife and vainglory but showing lowliness of mind. Jesus set an example for us by not attempting to be equal to God in any way but rather humbling himself.

I think, as far as Christian theology goes, Seventh-Day Adventism has some solid doctrines, particularly on the state of the dead, Sabbath-keeping and abstaining from unclean foods. But on this one topic, I'd have to disagree. I admit; there are some difficult verses, and the majority of them are in the Gospel of John, which if I'm not mistaken is the latest of the Gospels. But regardless, there are some difficulties I'd like to see responses on.
In Mark 10:18 and Luke 18:19, Jesus asks and states, "Why do you call me good? No one is good, save God alone." (If Jesus, in John's Gospel, did not mind proclaiming himself to be divine, why would he have made statements like these in Mark and Luke?)
In John 17:3, Jesus calls the Father the Only true God.
John 14:28, Jesus says the Father is greater than he.
John 20:17, Jesus says he is ascending to his God. How can God have a God? How can God be the God of Himself?
Matthew 24:36, Jesus says that only the Father, and not the son, knows the hour of his return. How can God not be all-knowing?
Revelation 1:1 states that it is "the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him..." How can Jesus be given a revelation if he is God?
Hebrews 4:15 states that Jesus was tempted in all points as we, but James 1:13 says that God cannot be tempted by evil.
1 Corinthians 8:6 states that there is one God, the Father (and even though is describes Christ as an instrument of creation, it does not identify Christ as God)

That he is eternal does not at all remove from him being the begotten of the Father. Why some resist that he is both, even if He himself says he is both, I don't understand.

The only problem with this is the controversial word 'trinity'. The word Godhead which is used in the bible to represent the existence of the three co-eternal persons who exist as one Lord God should have never been replaced with trinity. The origin of the word comes from Tertullian, a Latin theologian, who coined this word to represent the tri-unity of God but in subordination, where the Father is greater than the Son. To compound this, the Catholics have adopted this word long before in their own corrupted doctrine of the trinity, which is an attempt to destroy the nature of Christ, claiming that he was born in a sinless nature & that Mary had an immaculate birth. Yet another Catholic doctrine that so boldly contradicts the bible (Rom 8:3 & Heb 2:16,17). You need to stand clear of that word in the proclamation of the deity of Christ.
Look up "Godhead" in your strong's concordance. It simply means divinity, or deity. Divinity is manifest in three persons, but that is not what "Godhead" means, nor does it make God three persons. God is one person. One cannot be a Seventh-day Adventist, according to our original pillars, and believe that God is three persons. The GCSDA is not truly a Seventh-day Adventist organization, only nominal.

You are still teaching that God is more than one person. Will you believe in a creed or will you believe what the original Seventh-day Adventist church believes? The Bible teaches God is one person and so does the Spirit of Prophecy. To depart from that is to apostatize from the truth. Which form is God
I fully accept all you've shared with us. My question then is this: Jesus spent a lot of time praying to 'His Father'. We are taught that God became man that we may be saved. Jesus is my Savior and Lord. I don't believe Jesus was created but, if God became man to save us, why did Jesus spend most of His life praying to the 'Father'?
Jesus, in His fleshly form, showed us how dependency of anyone upon the Heavenly Father is vital! Also, it shows how intimate His relationship was with His Father. This was His source of strength right to the point of total separation at cross, due to sin.

@@hopelovegood8131, being created and being begotten are totally different things. Think about it: when God, through Christ, created Adam He took from the substances that He had already created and put them together to look much like them (the Father and Christ).
When Christ was begotten, although the Bible does not tell us how, we know that a begotten son comes from the person of the father. For us humans, it takes male + female but for God it does not. We don't know how the Son was begotten but I think we can take God's word for it that He was. The Bible says he came forth from the Father, and was sent.

In Exodus 3:14, God "calls himself", I AM. Was Jesus also "calling himself" I AM in John 8:58?
According to most Christians, including SDAs, it is believed and taught that Jesus is saying in John 8:58 that he "is", I AM. John 8:58 is translated as follows:

Let's read another verse using the same Greek words ἐγώ εἰμι (ego eimi). Acts 26:29 says:
And Paul said, "I would wish to God, that whether in a short or long time, not only you, but also all who hear me this day, might become such as I AM, except for these chains."
Is Paul claiming to be the I AM of Exodus 3:14 in this verse?
No. In John 8:58, Jesus was just stating that he was already in existence before Abraham was in existence. We need to read in context. Jesus was NOT saying that in comparison to Abraham not being self existent that he himself IS self existent. Paul, in Acts 26:29, stated his hope that others would exist, or be, as he is.
In Exodus 3:14, in contrast, God was calling Himself I AM as identifying WHO He is.
And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ”
In the last part, the I AM is used as a noun to identify a specific person which is not the case in either John 8:58 or Acts 26:29.

The Word was A god." (John 1:1) "Before Abraham came into existence, I have been". (John 8:58) "...the only-begotten son of God." (John 3:18) "...the first born of all creation." (Colossians 1:15). At 7:45 you said begotten doesn’t means born then Seconds later you said the only time God was begotten was at the incarnation of Christ which the Bible says Jesus was BORN look at Matthew 1:16, “And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.” Come on Pastor Doug how can you say that begotten doesn’t mean born when begotten is the past tense of begat which is repeatedly said from Matt1:2 to Matt 1:16? Also in Matt 2:1,”Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,there’s many more scriptures that clearly says Jesus was born ”I’m saddened 😔 because thousands who became and still are 7th day Adventists was largely due to Amazing Facts ministry and for Pastor to say those things are very disappointing to hear. In John 1:1 , where it says ' and the Word was God ", the Greek for God is theos, which means Divine. John 3:16, God gave His only begotten Son, begotten means " born of".

If we can agree Jesus has a God then we can move on to the possible argument that ‘this was the man part,’ of Jesus. ..supposedly.

@@renenario5348 what you are basically saying is there is no hope for us to stop living in a sinful lifestyle. We can't stop sinning now because we are still in a sinful body but when God gives us holy bodies then we will be perfect and sinless. I don't believe that you can be sinless NOW but if you make it to heaven then you will be given new bodies. And that is not what i stated. Jesus is not man. Point blank. He is God, and He was sinless.

What does God look like?, not God in human form we've known, but the God in heaven right now...
No one knows but Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the host of heaven... no man in the flesh aside from Adam has ever seen God the Father. We couldn't see Him in our sinful fleshly bodies anyway, we would be consumed by His presence of purity and the brightness of His energy!
We've been given the descriptions of Him, but none have seen Him except Enoch, Adam, Jesus, and Elijah. And everyone else in Heaven has seen Him tho.
