My dad a Jew named John taught my brother and I about the Bible. He read the Tanahk almost everyday. We went to church all the time. I dont remember my dad talking about Jesus except one time when he said, Never wear a crucifix because Jesus is no longer on the cross. He never really spoke much about what he believed or what we were suppose to believe. Then one day I repented at a pentecostal church at 12 but backslid. I realized my dad gave my brother and I a firm foundation for faith because we were already familiar with the Tanahk and then after I really started living for Adonai I began to read the Tanakh and the B'rit Ha'dasha and then things started to really come together about what dad was talking about all that time which is brilliant for him. My brother David the oldest was supposed to carry the torch of faith but it came to me a girl first. I still carry it waiting for my Bubba to carry it while I wait, I pray. I am thankful to Adonai for circumsizing my heart and not destroying me. I am now studying with One For Isra'el getting myself ready for Rabbinic Objections to Yeshua being God in the flesh. I want to be prepared to share with our people. Shalom ya'll from a Hillbilly Jew in Missouri. 😅🤗

      @hebraicfoundations 16 дней назад +6

@@freedaun No, it is completely true (as is also the verse you quote.) The Apostle Paul makes clear in Rom 3:10-18 that no person whom Christ died for was His friend. Yeshua died, ultimately before the foundation of the earth was laid, to save His enemies. Thus, He came to Avram by grace alone and made him His friend; Abraham was a friend of God, James 2:24, not because he was righteous, but because he believed God who came to Him in spite of his sin. YHVH calls Jacob/Israel His friend, Isa 41:8, not because Jacob or Israel is righteous, but because he is chosen. In spite of his sin he is not rejected, Isa 41:9. The covenants of Abraham and of Moses are the covenants of God's grace. Truly, salvation is by grace alone.

I was raised a reform Jew. This really touched me. I am 47 and starting to really study the scriptures for the first time even the New Testament. I want to know. I want to read them for myself. As I have been studying Christianity for the last year Jesus dying for humanities sins is making so much more sense to me than it ever did. I had a life and death experience at 10 where I prayed to God for my life and promised I would never tell a white lie again if he allowed me to live. It was at 10 years old that I truly felt the hand of God touch me and knew him well from that moment and have the deepest profound closeness with him through all of my challenges still to do this day. So, here I am, questioning if I should accept Jesus. My hesitation only lies in the fact that God said we should not have idols and there is one God. The argument that Jesus is God in human form has been hard for me to grasp but I am feeling and understanding it more and more everyday. My fear of true acceptance is I do not want to betray my one and only Lord and God bowing down to anything but him.

@racheli2598 Thanks for your honesty and describing your journey. I totally understand what you are describing. I too was raised Reform and I too felt some episodes in my life could only be the hand of God. I took the risk to read the Brit Hadasha (New Testament) and found it was not what my Jewish tradition had taught me. Then it occurred to me that so many of Yeshua's followers (that followed him around) went to their horrible deaths and would not "admit" that they had lied about what they say they saw while they were with Yeshua. Who does that? What human beings do that? They HAD to have seen things so extraordinary that a death sentence did not sway them. "Go ahead, kill me. It will be horrendously painful but I saw what I saw. It's bigger than this life. It's bigger and more comforting than the pain you're about to put me through. It's the real truth. It's so miraculous I cannot lie about it." That realization changed me from the inside out. I'm now a Jewish believer in the JEWISH Jesus. Yes I still struggle with trying to get my human (limited) mind around concepts like sin (missing the mark--or worse), shedding of blood being the only way to pay for those sins, that God is one ALWAYS as the Shema says and yet there is this triune nature of Him that does not mean I believe in 3 gods, that I can have a relationship with the God Who created all! Thus I keep walking in faith with these new found EXCITING realities in my life. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I am still a Jew. Thanks for listening and keep asking Him to draw you closer. ❤ -David

I do agree the agrument of his apostles going to their death for standing by what they saw is extremely compelling. I am examining Isaiah now in its entirety and trying to determine if just reading chapter 53 is in fact taking it out of context as in Isaiah 52:12 it references Israel and really the divisons of chapters is a newer concept. I want to believe Jesus is the messiah and God sent him to heal humanitiy and allow us to be closer with him. I just want to also make sure I am not betraying him and practicing an idoltry. Feeling very conflicted currently but I am praying to him that the truth will be revealed to me.

@@racheli2598 one thing that helps me understand is that Yahweh is eternal ofcourse right? & we know there's no "time" when Yahweh was without His Spirt or His Word right? So His Holy Spirit is eternal and so is His Word & have always been with Him & cannot be separate. Jesus is His Word incarnate into the world, to bridge the gap between God & Man (& to save us, the perfect sinless lamb to atone not just for Israel but for the world, John: “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world", foreshadowed in Abraham & Isaacs story of The Father giving The Son), like Jesus says "before Abraham was, I Am" (then they tried to stone Him for this claim), so Jesus has always existed, also in John "In the beginning was the Word, & the Word was with God, & the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him". How did Yahweh create the world/creation in the Torah in Genesis? He spoke it into existence, "let there be", which makes what John says make more sense about it being "through" Jesus.
People will mention the part of John that says: "I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son & shows him all that he himself is doing. & greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel.") pointing out Jesus says He can do nothing without The Father, but if Jesus & The Father are one, of course not! your voice doesnt act on its own will, its still one with you/not less than you, it is you.
Lastly, "For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him" clearly no mere mortal man can make these claims, only our Lord & Savior Christ Jesus

I love Avi Snyder. Many years ago (in the 1980's), I was at a Jews for Jesus conference where Avi shared a dramatic soliloguy of a personal experience of the Apostle Paul while he was in prison. It was a profound rendition of Paul both personally and theologically. That was my introduction to Avi, which showed me the incredible richness of this brother. Baruch Hashem.

69 He was a type of the Son of prosperity. Everything Joseph done prospered. And when Jesus returns in the Millennium, that’s the reason the deserts will blossom as a rose. Everything He does will prosper. He’s the Son of prosperity. Wherever you put Joseph, it was blessed. Wherever Jesus is, it’s blessed. So, get Him in your heart and be blessed. 70 So we find now, that, Joseph then was put into a prison. And in the prison there were two men; one of them was lost, and one was saved. Jesus, in His temptation on the cross, one thief was lost and the other one saved. 71 When He was exalted, He went to the right hand of God. When Joseph was exalted, he went to the right hand of Pharaoh, and no man could speak to Pharaoh without speaking to Joseph first and getting permission. And when Joseph left the palace…Oh, my! When Joseph left the palace, trumpets sounded, and men run ahead of him, saying, “Bow the knee! Joseph is coming!” Amen! And when Jesus leaves the right hand of the Majesty above, the trumpets will sound. And every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess, “Jesus is Coming!” Sure! But if… 72 And, remember, when he was rejected of his brethren, what did he do? He got a Gentile wife; he got an Egyptian wife. When Jesus was cut off from His brethren back there, the Jews, He married a Gentile Bride. But now, after years, after children had been born, Ephraim and Manasseh, he had a family. 73 Then, one day, his brethren come to visit him. Watch. We know the story, how he put the little thing in there, to send back. And act like he couldn’t even speak their language; had an interpreter, for the Hebrew, when he was a Hebrew himself. And their brother had come down. They didn’t know him. He was a mighty prince. And right now, Christ visits the Jews, heals their sick and stuff, and they still don’t know Who He is, that Messiah. Let’s begin at the 27th verse of the 44th chapter. And thy servant my father said unto us, You know that my wife bare me-my wife bare me two sons: And one of them went out from me,… That was Joseph, the very one they were talking to. …and I said, Surely he is torn to pieces; and I saw him not since: And if you take this also from me, and mischief befall him, you shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave. 74 They had a little Benjamin down there, his little brother. You know who Benjamin represents? This new bunch of real, genuine Jews that’s gathering there now to make that hundred and forty-four thousand, this-this race that’s coming up. Not these Wall Street crooks, no, no; that’s more cannon fodder. Them ain’t Jews. Them ain’t Jews. The real Jews are these little Benjamins coming up from down in here, and never even heard the Word of Jesus Christ. Now therefore come unto me…and thy father…and my father, and the lad be not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the lad’s life; 75 God’s Own Life is bound with Israel. He is married to her. We’re going to get to that in a few minutes, if the Lord willing. He is married to Israel. His Life is bound to her. Just as I’m bound to Mrs. Branham back there, my wife, and you’re bound to your wife. Your life is wrapped in it. And God is married to Israel. And what was it? Jacob said, “My life is wrapped and bound in this child. I shall…” And it shall come to pass, when he seeth that the lad is not with us,… Joseph was going to keep the lad, you know. We know the story. …and that he will die, his daddy: and thy servants shall bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to the grave. Listen to that plea that Reuben is giving now. For thy servant become surety that the lad unto thy…unto my father, saying, If I bring not…bring him not unto thee, then I shall bear the blame to my father for ever. Now therefore, I pray thee, let thy servant abide instead of the lad… Oh, my! See, he is standing right before Joseph, his brother. This is Joseph, and he don’t know him. Oh, wait till that Millennium starts, brother! …now instead of the lad a bondsman to my lord;… Listen at him, confessing him, “lord.” …and let the lad go up with his brethren. For how shall I go up to my father, and the lad be not with me? lest peradventure I see the evil that shall become on my father. 76 Pleading, giving his own life! How them Jews will stand there with their hands out! Watch. Watch now the 45th, verse…Listen close, don’t miss it. “When Joseph could…” Then Joseph could not…-frain him-refrain himself before all them that stood with him;… Brother, that’s when sin is going to be made an end to. The unbelief is going to scatter. …and he cried, and he caused every man to go…from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known to his brethren. 77 What is it? Even his own wife went back to the palace. Oh, my! The Bride in Glory, while Jesus returns (We’ll get into it here.) to make Hisself known. And he wept aloud:… Joseph just couldn’t hold it any longer, and he screamed out. …and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard it. 78 Plumb back over into the palace, they heard Joseph screaming. Now, that was a type of Christ meeting the Jews, that, He knows He blinded them so that we could have a chance. But when He comes to them again, sin of Israel will be over. And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph;… What do you think Jesus will say? “I am your Messiah. I am the One that you crucified.” …does my father yet live? And his brothers could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

This is beyond wonderful and beyond moving… I came across your channel some months ago, and have been delighting in your ministry ever since. It is such a blessing. It’s yet another opportunity for people all over the world to see God’s promise and work being fulfilled in real time, under our very eyes, through people like you, Elisha, and Avi, who are living examples of hopeless and downtrodden men transformed by the Lord into “fishers of men”.
To the question that Avi’s friend posed to him regarding his taking his ministry to countries like Germany, Romania, and Poland, I would say that it was akin to Jonah’s being repelled by God’s request that he go and preach to the Ninevites… I have both German and Romanian ancestry, and what if I told his friend that unbeknownst to the other, two of my family members - one in Germany, one in Romania - endangered their lives to help hide and protect two families of Jews? The daughter of my relative in Germany even stated that had this not happened close to the end of the war (WWII), they would have for sure been discovered and killed along with the Jews they were hiding. This while my grandma, in Romania, despite utter poverty, a passle of kids, bombardments and food rationing, was helping a family of Jews whose father had died in the war, fighting the Germans. Although the family eventually immigrated to Israel, they never forgot us and stayed in touch like family - in fact, that’s what I told one of them when he found me and called from Israel: to me, you’re family.
This goes to show, I think, the truth behind the line in the Bible which says that God knows which ones are His people, wherever they are located across the world. My grandma’s love and help given our of her poverty, not out of abundance, is what God said constitutes “true religion” - help given to windows, to orphans and, of course, to God’s people- Israel - when they are in need.
Last, but not least: I’ve heard that the Jews call such friends “righteous gentiles”. Well, according to our God of love, infinite grace and mercy, gentiles like us are more than just righteous people: we are adopted into Abraham’s family - sons and daughters of Abraham by adoption, and God uses a beautiful metaphor to express that: He likens Israel with a cultivated olive tree and the gentiles who have come to Him in faith He calls branches of wild olive trees, saying that He will graft these wild branches into the trunk of the cultivated olive tree - Israel.
Yes, marvel and bring praise, because He is a God of infinite beauty, power, wisdom and love.
So I say to you: keep doing the good work you have been entrusted with, beloved brothers, for you know Who you are serving!

There is no mention anywhere in the Hebrew Scriptures of the requirement to believe in any messiah, his blood or death for forgiveness of sins.
The 7th Commandment in the Ten Commandments is "You shall not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14). This commandment is considered a warning against immorality, including sexual involvement outside of marriage. ADULTERY (Heb. נִאוּף, ni'uf; sometimes, loosely, זְנוּת, zenut; זְנוּנִים, zenunim; lit. "fornication, whoredom"). Voluntary sexual intercourse between a married woman, or one engaged by payment of the brideprice, with a man other than her husband.
A mamzer is a person born from a relationship that is forbidden by Jewish law or the Hebrew Bible, or is a descendant of such a person.
According to traditional Jewish law, a "mamzer" (a child born from an adulterous relationship) is considered unable to fully participate in the Jewish community, including marriage restrictions, and therefore would not be considered part of the "congregation of the Lord" in the traditional interpretation, which could be seen as implying they wouldn't be included in God's kingdom.
I’ll never understand why God the creator, found it necessary to create his own mother in order to be born and in doing so impregnated another man’s fiancé in essence committing Adultery in violation of his own decree, statutes and instructions.
Didn’t Yeshua add to Torah and speak against this when he said that looking upon another man’s wife is adultery? Matt 5:28
So how does Christianity justify God committing adultery in the birth of Jesus, so that he would be born a mamzer (illegitimate)? And how can Jesus be messiah if as a mamzer (illegitimate child) as under God’s government he would be disqualified?

Avi, I started supporting JFJ in 1978. I remember many of the stories, praying for those in the newsletter, sending monthly birthday cards to several of the branches as JFJ started expanding. Thank you for your faithfulness. Blessings to you and other 'old timers.'

When a pagan comes to faith my heart jumpf for joy! When a Jew comes to faith, to Yeshua... I don't even have the words for it, it is like... my Family came back Home to our Father!! I love you dear brother Avi Snyder, may many brothers and sisters come back Home in the name of Yeshua! May God bless you and your family and keep you safe in His Shalom for ever! Love from a pagan believer, who loves the Jews, Israel in Yeshua His name. From the Netherlands, Harriëtte

What a wonderful video. I appreciate that you always ask the right/best questions. You do it in a loving, non judgemental way, but if pulls out of your guests what they need to know and see.
I love how candid and honest Avi is. That he admitted that he yelled at God. That he was angry with God. I love that God spoke to Avi, and the Holy Ghost testified to him that God & Jesus are real. And even more than that, I love that Avi took that knowledge & has spent years spreading those truths to all he meets. I pray for Jews around the world to come Christ. For all to be saved. 🙏🙏🙏

Yes! "While we were yet sinners Christ died for us" Romans 5:8.
Not while we were praising Him, not while we were getting our act together, not while we were clean or holy, not while He was our friend ...but while we were sinners!

Hallelujah. The same applies for the current enemy countries of Israel, it's wonderful to see the gospel go out from Zion to the whole Middle East! Yeshua lives!!

Amen. This is one of the best interviews. I am not a Jew but I have friends who are and I have a profound respect for them. You are God’s Chosen People. Hearing what you and your wife do around the world is astonishing. I can only imagine what it must be like to be in Germany sharing the Good News! Thank you Brothers.
We Gentiles have been grafted in. Hallelujah!!
