How soothing can it be to think that you will have to survive such tribulation?
Rev. 14 show the 144,000 being sealed. Why protect them only? According to Batchelor all believers will be protected during the tribulation.... why only seal the 144,000? He can’t answer that either. God bless you guys. Please read the Bible for yourselves & confront your leaders with these questions. Forget the hoopla if the number of resurrections. Just ask them to straight out answer your questions.

I used to be a Post-Trib believer. There’s been too many scriptures that the Holy Spirit showed me that doesn’t jive with this teaching. You’re speaking of “tribulations” which I agree with you that the Church is called to go through. The Great Tribulation is not trials like we have. It is literally the wrath of God. Now here’s just a couple scriptures that made me rethink my position ...
Matt 16:18 “I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.”
Jesus said this about His church. However, during the rise of the Antichrist, the Lord gives permission to him to overcome the Saints.
Luke 17:26 “And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood come and destroyed them all.”
When Jesus steps foot on the earth, it is not a “business as usual” environment. People are dealing with absolute devastation. It is not a “life is good” scenario. They are dealing with demon hoardes, endless wars, billions of dead people literally laying all around them, and cosmic disturbances. All of it ordained by God Himself.
We can have different views. Absolutely. Doesn’t mean neither one of us are saved by our awesome God. But, what bothered me is the assumption that people who don’t believe that we will go through these horrors are “not prepared.” That’s a bold statement, and I won’t go any further on what I really think about that. But let me say this ... being that I believed in the Post-Trib doctrine for many years, I know a lot of people from that camp, as well as a lot of people who are Pre-Trib ... I find that the ones who believe Christ can come at any moment, like the first church believed, are the ones who are not stocking up on food supplies, ammo, etc, rather they are going out and preaching the Gospel. I am by no means saying that Post-Tribs are not evangelizing. But I find that they are focused on being prepared to survive here on earth when we should be making disciples. This is just my personal observation.
The last thing ... Matthew 24 seems to be to Israel, does it not? I personally do not have the funds or the access to flea to the mountains from Judaea like Jesus says to do. It seems to me that Jesus is telling the Israeli’s “the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.” He goes on to say “this gospel of the kingdom.” Jesus is telling Israel to endure to the end. It is God dealing with His chosen people once again. If He wouldn’t deal with them, then we should all be shaken to the core because that means He does break covenants, which we know is impossible. We as the Church ARE saved by believing in Christ and what He did on the cross. Jesus was telling the disciples all of these things before He even established His church.
Anyway, I am on this journey just like everybody here. Let us continue to seek the Truth which can only be found in His Word. Let us all ask the Lord to continue to open our eyes to what He says. He will do it. He will teach us if we will let Him.
Deeply appreciate all you wrote here. Every word. Appreciate your kindness gentleness and yet boldness for Gods word. My position has been very much to stay focused on sharing the Gospel. Sowing watering Laboring watching and praying. As we don’t know the hour but we can know the season we are in.
I don’t get in the conversation about the rapture but I definitely study and listen to all side. I appreciate what you said about Christians who are wanting pre trib as I too heard so many get frustrated and even mock those who believe in pre trib. With the studies I have done I lean towards pre trib and it’s like I know in my spirit it is pre trib.
I also know I’m surrendered and daily surrender as it is good to take inventory of ourselves and well I just want to live everyday being about our Fathers business and becoming more like Him. That I will decrease and He will increase and He will continue to use me as He wills.
I have prayed some bold prayers. That He would prepare me for whatever persecution may come. I hesitate to use the word persecution but there has definitely been much suffering I have endured just from family members alone and I do rejoice in this as I got to know the Love of Christ more deeply and I know His word does not return void.
Truly loving others in a way I couldn’t without the Love of Christ ruling and reigning in my heart and understanding this verse more then ever

All these things prepare us. Day and night seeking the Kingdom of Heaven first all things will be added.
I truly believe for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose are equipped for every good work.
What I’m saying is should any of us have to be martyred God will prepare us for it.

Say this to say that I’m not a stranger to suffering.
Also thinking about those who have went home to Jesus in death. Who preceded us in death.
So many have not been martyred. So it’s not like some requirement that we be martyred to enter Heaven.
It’s Jesus finished work on the cross. Believing on Him as a little Child and being born again to see the Kingdom of Heaven. Many have gotten to be in Heaven and not been martyred. We all suffer tribulation in this life. That’s why Jesus said take heart I overcome the world. As Christians we have been enlisted in war. Spiritual war. If we are single heart and mind for Christ Hot and not cold or Lukewarm or distracted from Kingdom work you best believe we are getting demonic attacks in various ways and we continue to fight the good fight never growing weary of doing good.
I REJOICE in these sufferings knowing we are a threat to the Kingdom of darkness we are planting watering laboring keeping our minds on things above keeping our mind on souls being about our Fathers business so as long as He has us here.
Wrath of God was poured out in Egypt. Israelites witnessed it. They were removed out of Egypt at the completion of the plagues. They were also protected from the wrath of God there.
Stay behind as long as you like, I'm leaving when Jesus calls.

What I feel is that GOD gives so many clues to his rapture. The answers are literally right there. If you read and listen to others accounts of rapture you can tell we still experience some of these trials and tribulations. He says at the last trump , in the twinkling of an eye. I pray for his protection of my family and I pray for strength.

Actually the Tribulation is appointed for the Jews. Jesus will come back to save his body from the wrath. Those who don’t believe in pre trib and don’t expect and want Jesus to come back will not receive the crown of righteousness. We are Pre tribulation

@@ryanhoward2199 the rapture and the 2nd coming are the same thing same time. This happens at the end of tribulation period. The pre trib rapture is not biblical if that is what you are referring and sda do not follow that false teaching.

So there are TWO EVENTS that MUST take place before we are Raptured!
1/ The COMING of Jesus
2/ The RESURRECTION
and THEN we have the Rapture/ Harpazo!
The Truth is that the COMING of Jesus and the RESURRECTION must PRECEDE the Harpazo that we call the Rapture!

Wire Wire You've got my prayers. I conquered a major sin in my life a couple of years ago and I'm being severely attacked by the temptation of falling back into it. The temptation is all around me and constantly chipping at me but I'm barely managing to not give in. I don't want to backslide as I've came to far.
Just keep reading your Bible daily and keep your trust in Jesus and you shall not fall back into your sin. Everytime you get the feeling of wanting to, say Devil I rebuke you out of my mind. Then pray about your situation and read the Bible and it will come to pass.
Accept the fact that your desire for those sin is strong in one way you enjoy you love doing it but you hate it spiritually and you are guilty as soon as you are done .....break the chain simple ex take a break involve yourself with people spiritually minded and pray with them fast with them and above all many promises in the Bible claim those with faith like .... "Now unto him who is able to keep you from falling" His grace is sufficient for me” , ”not by power nor by might but by the Spirit of the Lord I can do all things"; "trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding but in all thy waya acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path" may this small sms help you brethren in Christ

Many preachers/teachers use 1 Thes. 4:16 to 5:3 In proving their pretrib rapture theory. But all you have to do is read on one more verse! 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
The return of Jesus comes as a thief in the night to the world, the unbelievers, not to those born again of the Spirit of God!
One other important question. Why in Rev 5 when that crowd of people were in front of the throne did John not ask who they were? In Rev 7 there was another group in front of the throne, but John asked who they were? Why? Because he knew who the group was in chapter 5, the church. In chapter 7 we learn that the group there are those who cane out of the great tribulation. In other words, those who became believers in Jesus during the tribulation. People, do not be fooled, read for yourselves. I beg of you, I love you!!: the church is already in heaven in chapter 5. How? Pre trib rapture!!

Read Isaiah 65:17-25 & see how the millennium has to be on earth. There is still sin & death during the millennium just like Isaiah 65 says. Doug Batchelor tells us that we will have to build our own homes when we get to heaven & he uses Isaiah 65 as proof. He is wrong, our homes in heaven are built by Jesus, again I refer you to scripture.... John 14..... “I go to prepare a place for you......” or have we forgotten these famous words from Jesus.....our Lord & Savior”?

@@willynine3505 This is what I have heard regarding the "house building": Jesus is building a house for us in the New Jerusalem. But after the earth is made new and we will inherit the earth, we will of course be able to live anywhere on the new earth and build homes there. We would still have the place that Jesus built for us. A residence in the country and one in the capital :)

You're right. John Darby was a spiritualists (satanist) that pretended to be a Christian going into churches taking Scriptures out of context to introduce a pre trib narrative. Scofield too. Christians have lost the true love for Jesus in wanting to lay their life down for Him as He did for all of us. Pre trib is an ear tickler. There is no such thing as pre trib, mid trib, post trib. It's called the second resurrection of Jesus Christ.

What this scripture is saying is that we will be given protection and aid etc. Not that we will be raptured

See the difference between US and THEM. We are the Children of God, THEY are the world, the unbelievers, the wicked, those that hate Him or ignore Him. Many will come to Him during the tribulation, which is the reason for the Tribulation: a one last chance--if you will--esp for the Jews. THEY are not saved, WE are saved. THEY love not the Truth, WE are saved by the TRUTH. 2 Thessalonians 2:10
God is sending THEM strong delusion, not to His own Children. God requires Justice, but He Loves Mercy (Grace), which is why He sent Christ to die for us, so that we could live. Christ took ALL of our Judgment and punishment, there is no judgment or punishment for us who believe. The Great Tribulation is not for us, it's for those who do not believe. Because if they do not believe in Christ as Lord, their sin remains. They have no redemption and nothing to save them from that hour after the door is shut.
This all Basic Gospel stuff. Unless you think there is no difference between us and them? Unless you believe the cross made little to no difference?

I don’t think anyone knows how this is going to go down. Look at how Jesus came into the world. People were expecting some grand conqueror King.. Instead he was a helpless baby, lowly servant and sacrificial lamb. The ‘experts’ of the day couldn’t even recognize prophesy being fulfilled under their nose. What makes anyone think we can predict how the end will come about? My guess is it will be in a way no one could foresee.. I’ve always loved revelations and have studied it a lot. So many views so many can’t agree on tells me that no one knows. What’s important of course is to be ready. Love Jesus with all your heart and mind and soul, treat your neighbor as yourself. Seek his will in your life. Be prepared at any moment/ twinkling of an eye of it could be pre. Be prepared to suffer and be persecuted and maybe even die for your belief in him if it’s post. I’m no where near worthy or ready but I’m trying and pray with his grace I will be. God bless and keep you all.

The rapture is pretty unique to the Christianity in the USA. Most Christians across the world aren't tought this , it's an American concept so I'll keep out of this question. God bless everyone ❤✝️

Not until he found an old dusty bible someone left did he find the calling. Just by someone dropping out of highschool and gaining actual life wisdom, they cant have good reasoning? Lets look at some famous people of scripture and see how they were: noah was a drunk; jacob was a liar; joseph was abused; sampson was a womanizer; elijah was suicidal; isaiah preached naked; jonah ran from the lord; peter denied christ; disciples fell asleep while praying! I love your space pic of the galaxy! They teach you that in your school about the beauty of cosmos? Earth is flat by the way with a dome above our head that we cant reach. That little tiny head of yours spinning yet, or is it the fake rotational speed of the blue marble?
Remember many will be called but few will be chosen.
I'm waiting for the rapture too bad, Jesus himself said: you will be handed over to tribulation, hated by all nations and killed for my sake's name. That settles the matter for good. The day of the lord is at the end of the age and then judgement, the elect for salvation and not wrath, the evil doers to wrath and contempt. Only ONE coming of the lord. We have a long way to go yet, so better pray for the lord to protect us.
Understanding Rupture :
The is a common belief among many Christians that, suddenly people will be caught away and taken to Heaven.
Let's find out from the scripture?
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 King James Version (KJV)
16: For the Lord, himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Paul clearly says that When Jesus comes, the dead will rise first and then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds.
I hope you understood by now the living are caught up (taken up to heaven) only when the Christ comes and after the dead are raised.
Paul teaches the Thessalonians that when Jesus comes, there will be a resurrection of all saints who have died, then a rapture of all saints together, those raised from the dead and those remaining alive.
No rapture. Did you notice that it never says we LEAVE the earth? And heaven was never promised to Yahweh's predestined elect human family members. Jesus did say this though: 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5 KJV. People thinking they go directly to Heaven or Hell after their body and soul die are incorrectly taught. King David, a man after Yahweh's own heart isn't even there ! 34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Acts 2:34 KJV. A lot of these professing Christians are truly very ignorant to what our Bible's REALLY say.

I believe that the final tribulation is when God will deal with the Jews and Israelis. Many of them are secular and are expecting the Messiah and will look at the Antichrist at first as their Messiah. When he turns against them then they will realize that Jesus was truly their Messiah.
Those that go through the trib are those who do not believe like the Jewish people and those who reject Christ after they knew about Jesus and knew what He did for us, and even saw the rapture has happened. PRAY TO BE FOUND WORTHY TO ESCAPE.
So your saying that Christ comes 4 times? ..his birth, the rapture, the 2nd coming, and then when he brings the New Jerusalem down?...Or are you suggesting that the rapture is the 2nd coming... since 2nd would mean the 2nd time hes back?..Point being the Rapture and the 2nd coming are the same events.
@@Dwbolan77 Jesus first comes in the clouds, the bible says that plain and simple, He comes for all those who believe in Him, that is why the bible says the Jews will be provoked to Jealousy. They along with all unbelievers will have to go through the trib. There are two comings in the bible, one in the clouds, Jesus does not step on earth, the dead in Him will rise, those who are alive and believe are changed in a twinkling of an eye thus having a body that can enter the chambers that Jesus has prepared for them, He told us that He was going to prepare these mentions, for us, for when He comes for us. He will hide us for a while, shelter us from what will happen on earth, we would b back with Him to earth seven years later to see His victory over Satan and evil He would rule. It does not make sense that we are taken up at the end of the trib to then come with Him to earth again for Him to rule. I respect everyone's opinion, but logic tells me that if Jesus told us He was going to prepare a place for us, then that shows us that we would be taken out of this earth in our new bodies as a reward for our faith in Him. That was not done with the first followers because the time was not then, in fact in Daniel we read that what was being said to him was for the end times. God did protect certain people in the bible because it was not their time yet, and not the end, He protected them so they help Him in His plan. Now all things are coming together all at once. We are told to be found worthy to escape all that is coming on this earth, escape means get away from it not stay in it, and be protected. Jesus, could not even save the apostles and those who where killed because of Him, that was because it was not the time of the end, it was not rapture time. We are in the time of the end, we are the once that were told to be ready with the lamps filled with the oil of faith, so when the groom comes for us to take us to His house we are ready. Five were wise the believers were, the other foolish once are those who missed the bridegroom as they had no oil, no faith.

If a Christian can be put in a situation where they can lose their salvation, then you have to imagine that a Christian wouldn’t be in that time period. That is why pre-tribulation rapture occurs of Christians and a post-tribulation rapture occurs for tribulation saints which are mostly Jews considering the point of the tribulation is to restore Israel. If you read verse 19 as well you will see that this is first resurrection, then Jesus hides us for a little moment until the wrath is overpast, so that He can punish the unrighteous for their sins.

The resurrections are described in Revelation 20: the first resurrection is of all the righteous. The second is of all the unrighteous, 1000 years after the resurrection of the righteous.
And when the rapture doesn't happen, you and everyone else who believes in it will turn your back on God and His son Jesus Christ, when we are told to persevere to the end. “Paul did not say in 2 Thess 2 that the day of the Lord is synonymous with the Rapture, but if you believe that, then you believe Paul wrote a letter to inform them that the Rapture had not happened so they should stop fearing that the day of the day of the Rapture was present. I’m no Seventh Day Adventist Christian like Doug here but he does have a good and valid point. Jesus himself explicitly said that the end of the world and the second coming is not set in stone. Only God knows. We must be vigilant and stand firm during the dark days.

Rev 7 occur after Rev 6 (confirmed by the use of the Greek Meta Tauta / "after these things"). In 7 we see the sealed Jews and then the Rapture (instantaneous event to the END of the 6th seal in Rev 6) . Rev 8 is the onset of that "Wrath."

Could I suggest that you simply open your Bible and read, or listen to Alexander Scourby read the Gospels to you, and you’ll feel how much Jesus loves you. I’m not a SDA, but I’ve had a lotta sweet fellowship with them in my travels. (I’m simply a Christian, of no particular denomination. Great Tribulation lasts 3.5 years (42 month, 1260 days, time(1yr) times(2yrs) and dividing of times(.5yr)
Many don't understand this.
When we enter heaven we are glorified unable to have children. How is it that in the Millennium the 1000 year reign ,children are being born. Not possible if we are raptured at the end. These are those who were saved during the tribulation, who were not yet saved. And made it to the millennium.

Why confusing' tribulations' ( from Satan and non-christians) and 'The great Tribulation' (a unique one, which is the wrath of God again unbelievers). How then can God once again throw his wrath against the church, the body of Christ, since this already occurred at Calvary.
Even in the OT you can see God telling Moses, the first time, to beat the rock for water, but the second time no more beating, but just speaking to the rock...
Can't you understand those things. I think you have another comprehension of the Gospel and how God works during the Grace time.

There will be people who never experience death. Enoch and Elijah were taken up. I can’t put it past God that He can do as He pleases with this and maybe it has happened to other people not recorded

A great time of trouble is not the same as the tribulation. Pre tribulation is the way to go.
The rapture an the second coming are very different events. Paul said the rapture is a mystery given to him by the word of the Lord. The second coming was well known and taught throughout the old and new testaments.

Matthew 24:32-40 tells plainly that it will be like Noah’s day, people eating and drinking and partying.... then one person is taken and the other person is left. That’s the rapture and it’s the first event that takes place. There’s two more harvests after that.

Dear Pastor Doug, thank you for this well-produced video. I have the question on the length of the Tribulation. You mentioned that the last seven curses (Revelation 18:8) will be possibly within a year, can you explain why the book of Daniel (Daniel 12:11) says that there will be 1290 days from the abolishment of sacrifice to the abomination of desolation? Please clarify this confusion because it is very critical for all of us. Thank you in advance.

After the tribulation as the bible says. There is one gathering (rapture) and Jesus is very clear that we will be gathered just after the tribulation of those days and then will sudden destruction come upon them (Gods wrath, The day of the Lord)

The rapture and the second coming are two entirely different events. So I believe in a pretrib. Rapture His children are not subject to wrath. You ought to get it a little bit correct.
Actually no, they are the same thing. The Rapture simply means being "caught up" in the 2nd coming we are "caught up" to meet him in the air. And we do not have the 7 last plagues falling on the saved.. We go through them... they plagues fall on the world and the wicked. This is why the scripture says... that 10,000 may fall on one side and 1,000 on the other but it will not come towards your dwelling. In fact The Anti Christ sends a decree out against Gods true people to kill them because these plagues are not falling on them... they are blamed for the reason they the plagues have fallen to begin with.
the tribulation is God’s redemption plan for the jews and their kingdom. too many of you try to insert the church (body of Christ saved by the gospel of grace) into Revelation and it doesn’t fit.

It tells you how to keep the sabbath right there in the commandment. You are getting too caught up in the details to claim simply bathing is considered “work”. Jesus himself rebuked the Pharisees for getting too legalistic about what to do on the sabbath. It’s quite simple. That day is supposed to be about having a relationship with God and resting in Him. Worship, relax, do good deeds, spend time with family. I’m sure the Lord doesn’t care if you grab a quick shower before heading to a sermon. The important part is that you recognize that day is there to glorify God and not yourself. It is a sign that you recognize His authority. It’s not a ritual, it’s a relationship.
The rapture teaching is how I test a preacher. Not because I am judgemental, but because we must follow the facts and no false teaching. Mat 25 is also a good fact to use in this teaching. Sincerely you can find much better explanations with guys like John Hagee, Perry Stone, Hal Lindsey, and at least 150 other prophecy scholars. I can see clear that Doug doesn't understand the concept of the Jewish weeding. He probably never really studied the topic but accepted the pre-stablished concepts from his denomination. He is very good in some topics but remember that he wears a denominational glasses. The problem is not the verses he mentioned but the verses that he omitted. You will just going to know how much Doug doesn't know when you hear with the people that really know. Just an example is that the Philadelphia church represents the faithful Christian. Look what Jesus says to the faithful Christian in Rev 3:10 - Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. Doug should be humble and learn with other scholars outside his denomination.
