This was the golden era of Wings with Denny Laine and the late Jimmy McCulloch on guitar and Paul playing Rickenbacker bass.
Yep
Can’t forget Joe English on the drums. One of the most under appreciated drummers of all time
Yes and why has no one hit my religion comment in 6 months...are u seriously afraid to speak what u believe for fear of retribution by fewer than the masses and twice as dumb? You are better than that...we all are!...more to come ...tune in leftists...ur gonna LOVE it!
@@hmackie6823 what?
In the end the Wings are still Paul McCartnety's supporting band. I imagine that having the boss wife watching you all the time kills the camaraderie that a band needs
His singing in this period of his career is just incredible . . . . . .
yes it is.
I think that the 60's and the 70's he were at his best.
Agreed. It’s perfect.
True
I Believe Paul if their is a John make An another Abbey Road out of wing wild life that was released
When this genius leaves this planet , it’s gonna feel very lite.
@Joy Stinson Oh shut up! Good first comment infected.
@Joy Stinson Well you clearly deleted your comment so mine does not make sense now.
@Joy Stinson The nuts??? What???
I've been dreading that day for years now. Hopefully he'll live to 120 & I'll go first
McCartney at his very best
Hell yeah!!! The BEST of the best...
His best was ten years before this
@@jonnybirchyboy1560 Not really tho. Vocally he was at his prime during the Wings era.
@@roypellikaan1 Debatable, but _artistically_ he was at his zenith in the 60s.
@@jonnybirchyboy1560 Your statement is debatable as well
His voice in the 70's was at its absolute peak. What a singer!
I love this era, I mean his bass playing, his voice, Denny Laine, Jimmy McCollough, Linda, ugh just everything about this era of wings is fantastic..
Vintage McCartney voice - hits everything he goes for , incredible!
Mark H thought the same thing. He’s fantastic. His voice is rockin!!!
My long gone wife and I fell for each other with this tune.
Jimmy's guitar, Denny's guitar, Paul's bass and voice and Joe's drum are awesome.
Imagine if the Beatles had been together to create this song as well as cold Turkey. The bass line in this song is out of this world
Paul in 76.
Top Form Voice with Bad Ass Rick also with his best WINGS Lineup no Doubt.
Wooooow, the atmosphere, his vocals, the band, the song, HIM... im weak
That Bass Tho.
wow, what an amazing group and an amazing period of time; love the vibe.
McCartney you are the cutest and such a fabulous showman and me and buddy Mick totally agree
One of the coolest little guitar licks there is.
I know how to play it!
BASS
I saw them at MSG. What a treat for the ears and eyes.
McCartney's best bass was the Rickenbacker 4001.
Wings at their highest point.
@Joy Stinson
This was the Rickenbacker 4001.
Single output, Toaster pickup in the front, Horseshoe pickup in the back. That bass had plenty of low end kick.
Chris Squire of YES used one for many years as well.
He made Rubber Soul-Abbey Road on that thing. It has some mojo. It was also a prototype made specifically for him by Rickenbacker
I knew Wings before the Beatles. This brings me wayyy back.
Bs
I'd keep that to yourself!
My favorite Paul solo song. He’s a magical being for sure.
Always amazed and in awesome ! From the first time I seen this on my uncle's video disk as a kid amazing. As a guitar player singer still strive to immulate sir Paul....
Paul had an incredible range most of his career, still is pretty damn good for an almost 76 year old man y'know. What a beautiful song of love towaRDs the man, friend, buddy and mate who inspired him alot throughout their lives. It has that Plastic Ono band feel to it.
I have always loved this song. That riff gets me going Always. Lift a glass for Sir Paul.
Paul surrounded himself with the best musicians available...and if they weren't available...like Denny and the Moody Blues
That guitar sounds amazing but that bass is something else 🔥👌
This is so damn good, what a group of players. This was a little more from the gut, a little more down and dirty than the Beatles. Wings rules
@Guero loco 510, The Beatles did some down and dirty stuff as well,
Oh Darling
Yer Blues
Revolution
I Want You She's So Heavy, just to name a few!
" I wants to tell ya
And nows the time
I wants to tell ya" That this and all of Sir Paul's tunes knock me out!
I saw Wings Over America in Philly for $9.00
That's same nine dollars we are not even let you sit and watch the concert for nine minutes.
Paul kicked ass back then
Still does
been kicking ass since he was born
Simply the greatest, what a line up!!!!! Wings Rule
Man, I wish I was there...
He sounds so sweetly!
That unmistakable sound of a Rickenbacker bass.... Sounds awesome
Saw them in Seattle King Dome. 68,000+ people! Beloved Linda!
The 2 guitarist he played with in Wings at this time were awesome. I caught him playing this song at a show in Atlanta in 2010 and it was awesome.
Denny Laine and Jimmy McCulloch. Jimmy was one hell of a guitarist, sadly he died in 1979 at age 26 of a drug overdose.
I saw this tour. He was magnificent.
What a Beautiful Song Sir Paul McCartney
Thank You !!!!
That was so badass.
Amazing vocals
Simply beautiful.
You gave me something
I understand
You gave me loving in the palm of my hand
I can't tell you how I feel
My heart is like a wheel
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
I want to tell you
And now's the time
I want to tell you that
You're going to be mine
I can't tell you how I feel
My heart is like a wheel
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
I can't tell you how I feel
My heart is like a wheel
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
You gave me something
I understand
You gave me loving in the palm of my hand
I can't tell you how I feel
My heart is like a wheel
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
Wings Over America , one of best concert ever .Pure music .
isso é um orgasmo sônico, a verdadeira personificação da arte em sua manifestação audível. Nunca me cansarei de ouvir este som dos deuses.
Belas palavras!
The greatest ever🤘🎸✌️
I played the hell out of Wings Over America in 1976, never occurred to me until now that Paul actually had a mullet
The Mullet Kintyre
NEE-DEE-AH-LEE-NOWR-NOWR-NOWR !! Possibly the coolest little guitar lick ....EVER !!
Overlooked this piece, hooked now.🇬🇧👍
Go Paul great songs missing Linda ️together with Paul today such a perfect couples of all times
Every time i see stuff from this period. It gives me a lonely feeling for Paul regarding Linda. "heavy sigh" They had the world by the tail.
Voice is literally identical to recorded version. real talent
Even better!
Who's thumbs downing this? I don't understand..
I attended Paul's 2017 Auckland concert ....the best concert I have ever been to.
Brilliant! I thought Paul and Wings were superb. Just so cool and they had wonderful songs.
Back when things just seemed right. Man, this is brilliant. Glad I grew up on this stuff.
I grew up on this album and Band on the Run is my fav and lm a metal head go figure

Thank you PAUL FOR (let me roll it)...
I think all his career, he has lifted his eyelids as he has sung . . . the way many people talk with their hands, I guess.
Great music))
Brutal.
Paul McCartney & Wings *Let Me Roll It* Wings Over America Live Tour (1976)
Ya,we got that from the title
This song could easily be in the white album.
Ls mnxi!- ive always thought this song could have been on the White album. well done!!!
Paul McCartney @ his prime!
Esse clássico me transporta pra uma época épica de minha juventude, simplesmente fantástico.
Awesome

TheOnecanJAN
Linda was the brains behind this whole endeavor. Yeah Paul is the man but behind every great man is an even greater woman. RIP Linda...
Have you ever looked at a dollar bill, man? Like really looked at it??
@@JustFloatinAlong oh, come on
yep I gonna cry , so good
LOVE THIS!!! 💕❤️
Esta es version es maravillosa...
Muy Cierto
Это был мой первый "медляк" с девочкой в 1980г. Снежанна Гробова из Москвы. Первые обнимашки. Спасибо Пол.
Love this so much
When he yells “yeah baby!” 😍
ROCK CHURCH
love the rickenbacker period
Paul McKenbacker... wow!! Let me hear it!!
Saw Paul in concert last month! Such an incredible show!
Joy Stinson awesome! I can’t wait to see him again.
Amazing performance as usual.
Beautiful 🎵💜🎶🎤🌹💜
The mid seventies craze for twin neck guitars was weird. You hardly ever saw them after the 1970s.
@cricketbat09, there's absolutely nothing weird about the absolutely cool twin neck guitar, they are totally awesome looking!
całe lata szukałam tego utworu!! uwielbiam....
Wings flew high back then :):)
I first heard this in 1975 from a situation, I almost couldn’t remember who or name I had to ask my cousin back in days he helped me search it and he found it, I loved this song
just wonderful.
WE THE PEOPLE feel great and strong and numerous!
I like Paul...I always have,but he knows I favored John...the rebel...the rock and roller
@Harold Mackie, Better listen again, McCartney rocked WAY MORE than Lennon, especially after the Beatles broke up! LENNON PRACTICALLY STOPPED ROCKING, just look at how many real rockers are in his solo career compared to McCartney!
Joe English on drums!
He is soooooo great!! What an underrated drummer!
And ironically he was American
Que bien suena el bajo. Buena voz de Paul en esta etapa, más rockear, más sucia (en el buen sentido). Excelente.
Power !!!
