I cant believe the penalty for the last offence. That was a head on collision at speed waiting to happen. Serious injury or death. The sort of fine and point you would get for exceeding the speed limit without any hazard resulting.
That last one - only £100 and again, only 3 points. Bet they thought it was worth the chance of not getting caught and have done the same thing twice since then. Pathetic punishments
The driver did comply with the lane closure signal upon reaching the second light system. The approach to the traffic lights that were on red prevented them from moving to the left lane. I must add that that those signals need to be lowered so that road traffic can see them instead of aircraft. Never mind I suppose you got your £100 and someone that may have useful information the next time you appeal for help will say "up yours".
This poor driver got the same punishment for this simple error, that endangered no one, as the other lunatics that almost caused serious collisions. And the police and courts wonder why we have no faith in them.
There is actually a sign that doesn't appear in the video prior to the lights to tell you if the lane is open or closed. By the time you get to the lights you are aready in the tidal flow system.
I believe in accountability, but enforcing the law is a job for the police. It's fair to say that we all break the rules of the road when no-one is looking, mostly in complete safety. However, it really doesn't sit well with me now that every camera toting do-gooder is suddenly able to drop others in it depending upon whatever mood they might be in. 🤔

Number 8 looks like Lincoln, a terrible road layout that catches out people not familiar with the area. Poor road design that puts people at risk. Welcome to Lincoln.
The closed lane signs start about 50m from the traffic lights and there are signs about 300m earlier telling you to move into the left lane. If you get to the traffic lights in the right lane you've already broken the law.
It looks like a "Tidal Flow" type arrangement. There are a few around but they're not very common. It's where a traffic lane can be reversed depending on weight of traffic. E.g. in rush hour mornings the middle lane can be opened up heading into a city, and in rush hour evenings the middle lane can be reversed pointing out of the city. But does rely on people obeying the red X markings.
Trouble is once it goes to court feeble magistrates fail to follow up with the punishment because the accused always has an excuse. Need transport for a job ,child care ,sick parents etc and the offender gets off with a pathetic fine or,in some cases nothing at all
These punishments are a disgrace. Most of those drivers are putting lives at risk and they're being sent on a puny course. I think the police in this country have lost the plot.
The worse your driving the lesser your punishment is what I've learnt from this. Number 6, while silly, did the safest unsafe overtake and got taken to the cleaners, whereas others such as the worst got 3 points and 100 quid after almost creating a huge mess!
Not telling them who was driving, so the correct person can receive the correct penalty, is punished harshly because it's effectively obstructing justice, just like lying to police to cover for someone else.
3 points for contravening a lane closure sign (I had to watch it 3 times before I got what they meant), and 3 points for driving through a red at speed don't seem like welll balanced punishments.
Driving through red-light at 40mph, driving head on into cars, going round a roundabout the wrong way are all the same as doing 45mph in a 40mph zone. £100 and 3 penalty points. Doesn't seem right to me.
In VOLUME 1 at the same junction a driver did the same and ignored the 'lane closed' sign, and had to attend a course and got no fine or points. Who judges who gets done for how much? Consistency might help.
My sister was almost killed by a guy overtaking on a blind bend (while he was 20mph over the limit). The number of people who overtake my artic on a road that's had half a dozen fatals is insane. But the punishments are pathetic.
Right, so a car sweeps across a cycle lane, mounts a pavement, nearly hits a pedestrian, and all in aid of getting to a junction a little faster, gets to attend a course. Meanwhile a car fails to spot a lane signal which is pretty rare to begin with, on a weird road layout that makes it a very easy error to make, and corrects it as soon as the error becomes apparent, and gets points and a fine? And sure, it may have been deliberate, but it’s at least an open question. The guy on the pavement not so much. Get it together, yo. I saw a video from Devon and Cornwall which was criticised as giving out lax punishments to those who endangered other vehicles, but let off those who endangered cyclists and horse riders. Didn’t pay it much mind, but it sure does come to mind after seeing this.
In Dubai, one red light costs you your job and you're deported if you're a foreigner. Sadly, we can't do this in the UK. £100 is NOT a deterrent. £600 + court costs + victim costs + 6 points = YES! ALL infractions should be reported to their insurance company. THAT would be a long term deterrent! It's total incompetence, I can't believe that driver had passed a driving test. There was even a car in front showing them how roundabouts work and they still decided to make up their own method.
If this idiot driver has been convicted of failure to comply with solid white lines he has a right to appeal. The line was broken on his side, "This means you may cross the lines to overtake if it is safe, provided you can complete the manoeuvre before reaching a solid white line on your side." (Highway code). He should surely have been charged with dangerous or reckless driving, notwithstanding the "if it is safe". Video poor blurred picture and really awful and unnecessary "music".
I recently did my cbt and got a bike and the amount of stupid old drivers on the roads is crazy there insurance is only 150 quid a year and mine is over 900 quid yet they have no clue about the rules of the road
While I think this is good 'dash cam policing' but there's inconsistency in the punishment and just doesn't seem enough for some of these offences. Just a thought, and be gentle with me here. But how can it be proved that the date on the dash cam clips are correct? It could have happened in 2019 but the dash cam is recording as though March 2023, and the current driver bought the car in 2021

Van going wrong way round roundabout to me is dangerous driving not due care and attention
Video poor blurred picture and really awful and unnecessary "music".
sort out the music its crap and non appropriate for the video turned it off instantly
Did you turn off the video or the music? No music is appropriate for the video apart from the theme to Wacky Races.
Sorry but that last one should have been at least 6 points. Absolute tosser driving or should I say trying to drive.
It won’t belong until the police ask the public to solve real crimes.
I recently did my cbt and got a bike and the amount of stupid old drivers on the roads is crazy there insurance is only 150 quid a year and mine is over 900 quid yet they have no clue about the rules of the road
You might be old one day, if you're lucky.
Give them a little more time and space.
While I think this is good 'dash cam policing' but there's inconsistency in the punishment and just doesn't seem enough for some of these offences. Just a thought, and be gentle with me here. But how can it be proved that the date on the dash cam clips are correct? It could have happened in 2019 but the dash cam is recording as though March 2023, and the current driver bought the car in 2021
Witness statement from the driver of the camera car, same as any other offense that's reported.
so many snitches sending in their little clips, hilarious. also something about hubris
