@@carloscampos-kl2kl not inherently. any additional unreliability would be engineering fault by gm. smaller engines aren't less reliable. many folk, especially older, get the impression that these smaller engines are more "tired" and run "harder" than the "relaxed" bigger engines but this is simply not true.

Seriously bro your video review was just epic its still the best review of ct6 out there. I just want to say you make less no of videos compared to other reviewers i just don't have words to discribe your review keep up the good work ... and chris's review is also good
I love this car, but cars are like universities. Reputation matters, and even though Cadillac is producing cars that are as good as its rivals from Germany and Japan, the journalists are still snobs about the whole thing. This is a really fine performer in the 3.0T version, and the new hybrid looks to be even better still.
Excellent review of a great looking car. However, I've owned a 2017 CT6 (AWD 3.6V6) for one year and it's been nothing but a nightmare with major transmission issues and build quality issues. As a Cadillac brand loyalist I looked forward to owning a great car, but this cheaply made car has been a huge disappointment. The crudely shifting transmission failed at 2500 miles and the car had to be literally gutted for a transmission replacement. The second transmission shifts like crap. Front end had to be rebuilt because the left front fender was out of alignment at the factory. But a great looking car.
I wonder why they didn't put double sun visors like the 2000 dts that was a very good feature when the sun was in the corner or you was on a curvy road
thanks for this excellent review. I currently own a 2011 740li and I am thinking of trading it in , and getting the ct6 . I test drove the v6 version which I did like. Can you explain the difference between that and the 4 cylinder turbo that you tested? you mentioned that you would not want the v6 in this car.
eww why would cadillac put a 4 cylinder in a big car like that if their suppose to compete with bmw and mercedes which comes with v8s and v12s and they put a 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder as the 2 engine choices are u goddamn kidding me
It's simple actually. The government. Notice the 2017 Mercedes E series only has 4 cylinder in the states but 6 cylinder in Canada? There is no 6 cylinder for the E in 2017 unless you go AMG. Each car company has to average a certain MPG. So they offer the 4.
2:36 "luxury car" with normal light bulbs on the mirrors, im sorry howis this supposed to compete with germans if they had this 10 years ago and this "chevy" doesnt, im not saying its bad or not luxuroius. it just doesnt compete at all.
Abood W hahaha dont rage and if you think germans are best go for germans lol. I have bot, BMW M3 and a Cadillac DeVille and you know what, My BM is A LOT CHEAPER than my Cadillac
Terrible color combination and getting the carbon fiber instead of wood to make is furthering the cheap feeling of the car. Give me black with a light tan interior and wood trim. Not gray with orange seats and carbon fiber this car is way too all over the place optioned in this manner
Nick Grigoriou like I said me personally I would get it in white or black with an all black or all tan interior and opt for wood trim instead of carbon fiber trim. I think the interior would look much more elegant if speced that way. I also wouldn’t get a 4 cylinder in a full size luxury car. As he’s driving this car just looking at the seats and dash I find it extremely ugly when in reality if optioned right it’s a beautiful car.
Cadillac should have made the dash the same color as the seats and put some real electric shades on the rear doors this is a great car but a lot of things they need to offer to enter S Class Audi or 7 series territory a lot of the Cadillac decided to go cheap on that they could have did better GM always shortchange their customers instead of going all the way or at least trying to do some mind blowing things that are unexpected
Eww that cheap creak of the plastic when you pushed the glove box or climate control touch pads and buttons, or pulled the door handles on the inside, or the window switches... GM is talented at making their cars feel like they're badly put together and falling apart straight out of the showroom, and Cadillac seems to be the best at it. Have yet to find a new ATS or CTS that has a single part or panel in the interior that doesn't feel loose or creaks when pressed with a finger. . I mean come on, this is the biggest Cadillac, supposedly a competitor for biggest Germans (in your dreams Caddy), but it could learn a lot from the Audi A1 when it comes to quality.
derbigpr500 You obvious have not seen the new BMW'S. TUH! They are evem worse. I have rode in 2 2016's. The Panel gaps on the cars are atrocious. Especially the door handle part with the hand grap lever. Quality of the leather ain't all that for the price they charging. Looks nice. Just doesn't feel soft enough. This Cadillac is absolutely fine if you know how to actually criticize a car. Which is maybe why GM and other car companies dont. pay youtubers for their opinions. BUT instead go to JD power and associates.
derbigpr500-I understand what you are saying. However, about a month ago I was checking out the new Porsche Panamera which stickered at about $105,000. To my surprise when I grabbed the inner door grab to shut the door I heard a creak that would not be present in a Hyundai accent. The creak of the plastic was not a one off event since I kept repeating the motion and the door plastic would not stop creaking. Let me say this again, the MSRP of the vehicle was over 100 gs. The cabin in this car is not worth half the asking price. And you have all of these reviewers talking about how nice the cabin is.
I love how you actually use your turn signals as well as the great driving
I wish more of these reviews guys would actually do real world driving like yourself. I can't believe it's a 4 cylinder.
James Williams The turbo charging on these smaller engines are as powerful and as torque rich as many older v8 that many of us are use too. But none of that rumble us old school guys are use. This model wasn't even fully loaded CT6. But for the price I believe you get a solid full size luxury car.

I like the backseat privacy part.
This is a car to be driven in, rather than drive. See a lot of focus for the passenger.
where do you get the people to lend you a car like this
2 days ago it was 70 degrees. Today it's 30 degrees, that's Michigan for ya.
That's what all states on the west coast are like.
GraveDiggerfan101.2 TheBedrockSord and east...it’s basically all of the US
I'm actually surprised when I see one of these outside of a showroom
What a beautiful car makes me sad they didn't build the ct8
I've driven the XTS with the 3.6 and it was a nice engine, not sure if I would want a 2.0T for $70K...
Gm has always had a good suspention system.
I was amazed when I saw this car in real life and it's price tag.
just think this will be getting the 10 speed soon, optional V8, and more tech :D
I don’t care what anyone say but 2017 cars are my favorite 💖💖💖
Honestly this is better than other German cars because the other competitors only have tablets looking things
Jay check Mercedes S class!
Ante Zoric yeah true but that's like high luxury class ranging in like 80k and more I'm talking about under than that like 3 series and c class.

Thinking about getting one of these preowned. Thanks for the helpful video.
good video. Video clarity quality struck me as just excellent
I wish he would've played at least a 5-10 second clip of music on that Panaray 34 speaker system.
Its still a 4 banger. A car like that should have a small displacment turbocharged v8.
I wonder why they didn't put double sun visors like the 2000 dts that was a very good feature when the sun was in the corner or you was on a curvy road
I like the look of the CT6. Too bad it could be affordable to college students in 8 years though.
More like 3 years, you could get a 2018 CTS for under $25k, that's the price of a Civic SI.
Looking forward to that
Hi
Is this quieter and more comfortable than the Lexus ES300h?
Thanks
A 4 cylinder in a car that size? I dunno, I'd prefer the 3.0TT.
Great vbideo!
Seems like a good car, but the "tablet" screenat the front really bothers me. It has this "cheap" feel to me.
Awesome Video. Thanks Chris
The new Chevy Traverse
Thats a lot similar to the xt5 interior but with modifcations
Is this one the first 4banger Cadillac ever?
the noise the sunshade made caught me off guard and I thought my computer fans were having a seizure lmao

4 cylinder Cadillac? wtf...
It's now a new thing. They put 4 cylinder on a Cadilac Cimmaron in the 80s
can you do a q50 red 400
Lmao hook up a ps4 in the backseat be playing you some games while your on the road
Or hook up your computer to read e-mails like a normal boring person
70 grand for a 4 cylinder. Should b at least a 450 hours v8
70k id prefer a bigger motor
Only thing is this thing will not be reliable in about 5 years or less. GM needs to work on their reliability.

Keon Hart It does weigh like almost 500 lbs less than it's competitors. So that helps a bit. The 3.0 TT is no slouch though.
did you even watch the video?
Like Chris said, the 4-cyl pumps out plenty of power and a bigger engine would just be unnecessary
There is a e300 = 4 cylinder. 530i = 4 cylinder.
Might as well get a Chrysler 300, a Charger Srt, or Hellcat for 52 grand.
