I don't drink too much coffee because caffeine sometimes causes heart palpitations especially during the evening. I'm still surprised how you can still work and drive. I miss driving so much but I have issues with dizziness and my eyes, it's hard for me to focus. Also sometimes I get so tired and start yawning like crazy. My movements start to slow and I feel this heavy weight and I start to slur and feel so out of it and bad. I feel a warm pressure in my head. I feel like crap everyday and I don't get any better. I get so scared and freaked out knowing this is my life and there is no cure. It's hard accepting this diagnosis I go looking for other reasons why this is happening but there are no answers and nothing the doctors or physical and mental therapists can do for me and I get very sad and scared and angry. I am glad you share your videos thank you

    Hi,
    Thanks for your videos
I’ve had FND for 7 years.
    To answer your questions:
    Coffee- one cup a day
Exercise - lots of stretches, Pilates, Qi Gong.
    Diet - Low carb
I think you’re a very strong and courageous woman.

I have some Qi gong videos but I never get them out!! Ugh! I keep falling off the wagon with the low carb....I hate how weak I feel...then you say nice things about my strength. Xo

@@TheLarryAndy Hi Larissa, You're very strong because you keep on getting up. I know how difficult it is on the body and mind when your brain translates visual and auditory stimuli into waves, vibrations, muscle contractions/convulsions through the body, and no health professional can tell you how to fix it.
The low carb, little caffeine and regular excercise that I mention above have helped me in various ways (weight control, pain management, flexibility and muscle strength) but unfortunately, this routine has not decreased my sensitivity to sound, light and various other stimulation. I still get my ass kicked on a regular basis with involontary movements, limb weakness, speach restrictions, pain, brain fog etc....I, like you, continue searching for a solution. I am in the process of completing paperwork to consult with a clinique in Ottawa Canada. A lovely young woman who was diagnosed with FND last year contacted me last week through the FND hope website, she states she is now 95% better, after suffering disabling FND symptoms for 2 years. If the treatment is successful, I will let you know and I look forward to watching your future videos.

What is Qi Gong? I'm interested!

Qi Gong has it’s roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy and martial arts. It’s a form of slow moving meditation. It has similar fundamental principals and methods as Thai Chi.
It’s a gentle form of exercise that can be beneficial for bodies that don’t respond well to rigorous forms of exercises.
I started practicing several years ago learning through RUclips videos.

@@TheLarryAndy how did you get the diagnosis of fnd? I’ve had some abnormal movements and been to 3 neurologists and they have not decided on a cause.

I often push myself way too hard when it comes to exercise. I try to stick to gentle exercises, like walking and yoga, but sometimes I can't even manage that because of fatigue, pain, or my legs not working.
I can't live without coffee. I have so much chronic fatigue, I can't make it through the day without a cup or two. I do notice I feel better when I eat healthier, but I don't tolerate milk or wheat products very well.

Exercise has been difficult for me and usually brings on symptoms, but I’ve found that doing short bursts and then resting helps a lot, as well as sticking to below a certain heart rate so I don’t overdo it (I forget the calculation but if you search graded exercise therapy you should find the suggestion for heart rate). The best forms of exercise for me have been swimming and yoga, though many yoga classes are too much for me so I do videos at home and pause them to rest when I feel myself getting too tired. With the quarantine I can’t swim so I started roller skating, but I take lots of breaks like I’ll skate for a few minutes then sit and breathe for a few minutes.

That's a good idea ... Short bursts and then resting. Thanks for sharing!! I'm going to look up graded exercise therapy! Xx

I stopped drinking caffeine years ago because it makes my anxiety and heart palpitations worse, I don’t even drink caffeinated tea any more. Sometimes when I’m really tired I’ll have some and it usually doesn’t go great hahaha. Doesn’t make any FND issues worse though. As far as diet, I tend to eat less on days when I’m less active. Honestly brain fog helps with that because I forget to eat hahaha

I have have had a couple Doctors say I have FND I do not it is an official diagnosis until I see a neurologist. It is nearly impossible
to get answers. It has been going on 3 years. I am sill really confused and really could use someone to talk to about it.
